Lovely birth story. So glad for you that you got the home birth you wanted. All three of my babies were home births. Two girls then a boy, like you. My last was the only one I could stay home after the birth with. Congratulations!

What an incredible story ❤️ how did you find a midwife to work with you? I don’t think Homebirth VBACs are permitted in Florida

I had a wonderful Homebirth VBAC and I live in Florida. Just have to find a knowledgeable midwife. ♥️

What would happen if your uterus ruptured at home?

Beautiful, great job mama! It sounds like it was a wonderful birth. I've had 2 home births, one was great (although baby needed some minor resuscitation, and the placenta almost got stuck), and one was gnarly and really hard.
    (Rant below, sorry!)
I have a friend who is planning an HBAC after 5 CS. Her firstborn has spina bfida and they operated on her around 20 weeks pregnant. She has never had a vaginal birth. I've had 2 home births and I'm very concerned for her for this reason. I think home births are best suited to women who have had a successful vaginal birth in the past. My opinion, respectfully given. She called 10 home birth midwives who all told her she wasn't a good candidate for home birth, and eventually found one who would work with her. I want her to have a vaginal birth, I know it's something she dearly wants. But I believe, given her unique situation (she's also had 2 losses and retains urine), I think it should be done in a hospital setting with an OB willing to work with her. But she won't listen.
Sorry for the rant. I just care about her and her baby very much, but I don't think she's thinking clearly. For example, she thinks that if the baby can't come out due to retained urine, she will "just" catheter herself. I've had to pull back from her a little bit because I get so upset. I guess we just don't see eye to eye on this.
