2019, he's still an engineer by BMW. Good for him to be honest, I don't even care anymore. In my eyes, a new Necrophagist album is basically every new technical death metal album EVER. He has influenced an entire genre and we should not forget it.
I think it comes down to the livelihood of musicians on the road. He's an engineer. The man is a genius elsewhere in his own right. He establish his living on the premise of his own terms and with that, leaving us some good tunes which in retrospect we can all be grateful for. I hope he is doing well and the reality is, we want to do things we love and make a good living out of it, this probably wasn't it for him in the long-run.
I dont know...its strange because he could still write songs and compose in his free time while working as an engineer...not touring...and making videos or have social media or so...weird how he disappeared
I get that being in a tech death band doesn't earn you money and all but why did he completely disappear? It takes 1 minute to make a quick update post on social media. It's really weird to me

Ooh.. I don't like his face when they ask about when the new album is coming. His words are positive, but somehow now seeing it in total retrospect, you can see there's something troubled in his looks, as if he subconsiously knew there was going to be problems. Why it hasn't worked, when they obviously had things ready and started, he certainly has the skill, motivation and experience. Only he knows what happened. Maybe the world isn't ready and fate is putting up obstacles to delay the release if one believe in such things. To me it's still something quite unbelieavable imagine a new Necrophagist album that holds as the seccessor to ones before. By the way: 7-string guitars, with a tone and sound where even the lows are clear, even faster drums and more musical songs, sounds to say the least, IN-fucking-CREDIBLE and totaly brutal, I now know the world might not be ready :P

Muhammed is the George RR Martin of metal. I’ve been waiting since 1997 for the GOT story to be finished…doubting it ever will be. And doubting we’ll ever hear another Necrophagist song too. Sadly.

@MetalMilitia2 i thought so at first too, but you see, theyre taking the sound directly from the instruments, so theres no distortion through echoing, the noise of the croud, etc. what you heard really was being played live. its just pro shot. i saw the whole live video of "only ash remains." if it werent for the vocals sounding slightly different, i would have thought the same.
C'mon guys. We already have 2 great, no, LEGEND albums from Necrophagist, and it seems there will never be other releases, so we have to deal with it. My heart is bleeding for that, but I'm thankful this 2 masterpieces, and I wish all good to Muhammed and the other members of the band.
As difficult and well written their compositions are, It's understandable that it will be a while also considering their lives we have no idea what else they have going on. When the time is right it will happen I believe!

I relate to Muhammed a lot. Like him, I've been writing my first album alone, and it's difficult to have the mindset to take care of your life, have a practice regimen, write the album, record it alone... It helps knowing that people at the top went through the same thing at one point. It's also proof (hopefully) that if I'm this persistent with myself, it will all eventually happen.
