Vivienne, my grandmother's name. My sister wanted to make her room look like horizontal board and batten and she used a black ink pen to draw the lines and you couldn't even tell it wasn't wood.
Help is always welcomed at the Chateaux in France. I love the affect of trim on a wall to represent a panel. This will be very lovely Brenda. Your jewelry find are very unique. Great eye and knowledge Brenda. The trim gives the room character too. I have found that Lelande is such a happy place with loads of fun and joking around.
When determining the height of a chair rail, you put the chairs you’re using in the room up against the wall. Mark the height of the top of the back of the chair, that’s the height the rail should be around the room. The rails aren’t just purely decorative they were designed to stop the backs of chairs from damaging the wall coverings of rooms in the days when wallpaper was very expensive or wasn’t paper but fabric. Pictures rails are as they say to hang pictures from using a specific hook rather than damaging the wallpaper/wallcoverings .
Vivienne, you are quite the artist! Your drawings of the room & how you wish to decorate & embellish it, are stunning!! Is there anything you & Simon cannot do? I think not!! Vivienne, my grandmother's name. My sister wanted to make her room look like horizontal board and batten and she used a black ink pen to draw the lines and you couldn't even tell it wasn't wood.
Help is always welcomed at the Chateaux in France. I love the affect of trim on a wall to represent a panel. This will be very lovely Brenda. Your jewelry find are very unique. Great eye and knowledge Brenda. The trim gives the room character too. I have found that Lelande is such a happy place with loads of fun and joking around.

When determining the height of a chair rail, you put the chairs you’re using in the room up against the wall. Mark the height of the top of the back of the chair, that’s the height the rail should be around the room. The rails aren’t just purely decorative they were designed to stop the backs of chairs from damaging the wall coverings of rooms in the days when wallpaper was very expensive or wasn’t paper but fabric. Pictures rails are as they say to hang pictures from using a specific hook rather than damaging the wallpaper/wallcoverings .
