that scene was heartbreaking and her emotions were acted so well. the desperate cries and begging... it's incredibly sad and frustrating when someone gets failed by the mental health system.
Right because there is a small window when Rue is motivated to get better and it only takes one bad situation to send her back. So definitely she's gonna relapse again. Very sad but realistic
a lot of tough moments this episode but the family dinner scene was heartwarming, im glad Ali forgave Rue. And poor Maddie. Nate was insane for creeping on her like that and with a gun!?! I don’t ship Nate with anybody but therapy. but excited for Lexi’s play to be the talk of the town next week 🥳

Nate and Cassie exchanging “I love yous” threw me off, I don’t like them together and I still don’t have any sympathy for Nate. He’s deranged and hasn’t earned redemption yet IMO
i think the scene where jules asks nate, “so what are you like a good person now?” and he says “absolutely not” is kind of the writers way of telling us this isn’t meant to be a redemption arc, its just meant to show that nate’s trauma n issues are so deep that he can have those “normal” or even “good” moments, but at the end of the day he’s still just as angry and manipulative as he always was, and he’ll always be that abusive person. idk if that makes sense, but that was just my take on it
Seeing them together actually is kinda gross. They both will forever be trash. Love to hate them so I guess the writer and the actors are doing amazing lol

To be honest, it was amazing watching him going full on psycho over Maddy and immediately becoming tender with Cassie (and Jules). God I love that I hate Nate this much PS: who else thinks Ali and Rue's mom have an unsaid chemistry going on tho
I'm so mad they reduced Kat's main character to a side character. She had an excellent development in her narrative arc during the first season, and now we never see her and she is just portrayed as a "confused" person.
She is a trash character. Firstly she admired Ethan and today all of sudden she rejected him and tried to manipulate him. This season literally has huge downfall
Nathaniel and Cassandra need consequences. Just cause we understand WHY a character is behaving a certain way does not mean they should keep going with it
Honestly I’m glad because now I don’t have to feel confused on how to feel towards her, I felt pity for her and though maybe once maddy found out she would come to her senses but looks like she has none lol
She at least recognises that she made a choice and it was a bad one though. I guess at that point there isn't anything else in her mind to lose, so why not make it worth it by getting the guy in the end. It's her own twisted love story.
Kinda sad they didn't interview Rina Yang on her approach to filming this episode. Which was in my opinion one of the better looking ones. It was so refreshing to see a grounded approach to the cinematography of a show that can often times be soooooooo stylistic for just plain stylisism. I think people also don't get how hard it is to make things "naturalistic" and good. Anyway. Great episode. Feels like Sam actually wrote a second draft for once.
IMO most overweight people are nice irl. I feel like kat treating Ethan like trash is akin to nate doing what he does. So that’s the disconnect she’s not likable.
Something I really loved about last episode was how Ali wasn’t holding back with Rue. He wasn’t afraid to make fun of her or make jokes about her addiction, I can’t stress how important it is for those with addiction/mental illness to be able to make light of all of the darkness that we have to go through…and inadvertently put our loved ones through
So no one else found it crazy that Nate mistreats his mom as well? I don’t care what kind of argument I have with them. I would never talk to my parents like that.
Okay but can we talk about how good Nika King and Storm Reid performance was through the entirety of the season…they deserve more recognition considering they are a big part of rue’s story.
the fact that Kat’s past story line of her being an underage cam girl is literally just being abandoned.. there are so many questions from last season that I still have that aren’t being addressed and it’s disappointing
@@Jon155mt no she didnt !!! sam wanted her to have an eating disorder storyline and barbie rejected it as she should thats why we dont see her a lot this season

hearing barbie speak about kat's storyline makes me hate how much we missed out on bc of what happened behind the scenes. We barely have seen any of what she spoke about regarding her secret camgirl thing and what not.
it’s so sad to see maddy’s constant abuse and trauma be walked over and brushed under the rug. that poor girl went through so much in this episode alone.
This show portrays addiction and trauma so well. Makes me have to focus on my breathing, being someone who has been through trauma myself. It connects you with the characters and Sam does such a good job with making you feel that way.

@@bludoll Yes I heard that too. In any case, it's a major waste !
ive never been so addicted to a show before, but this.. this show right here is something never done before.
I feel like "addicted" isn't even close to the right word.
Nathaniel and Cassandra need consequences. Just cause we understand WHY a character is behaving a certain way does not mean they should keep going with it
not the government names 😭
Why i thought her name was cassandra
frfr. BUT NOT NATHANIEL AND CASSIDY LMAOOOO
their past may serve as an explanation but it is not an excuse.
@@lexduc1856 because it is cassandra, not cassidy
Zendaya’s acting is amazing and she continues to be clutch in every episode!
It looks like Cassie has no regrets whatsoever, smh
Likeeeeeee
Honestly I’m glad because now I don’t have to feel confused on how to feel towards her, I felt pity for her and though maybe once maddy found out she would come to her senses but looks like she has none lol
She at least recognises that she made a choice and it was a bad one though. I guess at that point there isn't anything else in her mind to lose, so why not make it worth it by getting the guy in the end. It's her own twisted love story.
@@mydogeatspuke very true
She lost maddie why lose nate aswell she made her bed and is now lying in it
Kinda sad they didn't interview Rina Yang on her approach to filming this episode. Feels like Sam actually wrote a second draft for once.
good point!
Sam fcked up the Kat storyline and so it's just there making no sense. We've had the whole spew about toxic positivity and then cricket ever since
no one is talking about her gaslighting Ethan, that was hard to watch, the nerve on her
What storyline did he have for her?
IMO most overweight people are nice irl. I feel like kat treating Ethan like trash is akin to nate doing what he does. So that’s the disconnect she’s not likable.
They cut A LOT of her storyline cause they had a fight on set and kat walked out
Barbie will exit ifbits not resolved
i love ethan sm he deserves better
Something I really loved about last episode was how Ali wasn’t holding back with Rue. He wasn’t afraid to make fun of her or make jokes about her addiction, I can’t stress how important it is for those with addiction/mental illness to be able to make light of all of the darkness that we have to go through…and inadvertently put our loved ones through
euphoria It's definitely one of the best series in history.
Euphoria's episode's never fail to be so good
I need whatever jeans they had on Storm
what about her shirt? was fxcking beautiful 😍 and maddy's jeans too 👌
Check out the jeans in Los Angels Apparel. Their sizing can be…unforgiving, but when you find THE ONE, you hold on to it forever.
So no one else found it crazy that Nate mistreats his mom as well? I don’t care what kind of argument I have with them. I would never talk to my parents like that.
That's normal in white people household lol. I have seen my past White roommates talk to their parents any type of way.
If I talked to my mom like that I would get slapped across the face
@@itsjustsam7405 it’s not a race thing but it isn’t a nationality thing, that’s ridiculous.
He’s white, white people don’t respect their parents
@@nostalgicbliss5547 you're so right tho 😭
Okay but can we talk about how good Nika King and Storm Reid performance was through the entirety of the season…they deserve more recognition considering they are a big part of rue’s story.
Nate is like a Love Hate, Hate, Hate, Hate character, I don't know what to expect with him
Wait. You sort of love him? After that episode as well.
Nah Nate is all
Hate
@@AA-qb7ni
That's why I said Hate, Hate, Hate, Hate. He's constantly doing bad things.
@@TihetrisWeathersby why that glimmer of love?
@@bleepblop7394 empathy
the fact that Kat’s past story line of her being an underage cam girl is literally just being abandoned.. there are so many questions from last season that I still have that aren’t being addressed and it’s disappointing
That’s why the show is slowly unraveling her, she is deeply flawed and is running away from her issues and she will eventually face them
They did Kat, Ethan and Cassie SO wrong. At least one or two plotlines were really good
Kat did herself wrong.
@@Jon155mt period
@@Jon155mt the WRITERS did them all wrong, Kats character is being ruined
@@Jon155mt no she didnt !!! sam wanted her to have an eating disorder storyline and barbie rejected it as she should thats why we dont see her a lot this season
rue’s plot line is the only i like right now
Everybody keeps talking about him putting the gun to Maddie but he was putting it to his own head
he put it to her head first
that’s equally as terrifying tho
Still fkn terrifying
That’s still traumatizing plus he was pointing it at her the moment she walked into her room then again pointed it at her while she laid down then moved it to himself.
Thats not any better
As someone who withdrew from Valium cold turkey the opening scenes had me sobbing. It brought everything back. Pure agony.
Hope you’re doing better
Thank you so much. I had a 200mg a day habit now 1mg a day which is controlled by doctors. I still have such major anxiety I’m not sure I ever fully be free from the drug. But I better than where I was. Again thanks for your kind words.
Her performance gets better and better each time I see her (Zendaya).
Ali's Forgiveness made me cry like a small lad.
This episode I loved it . Rue in the staring it was only 2 mins and I was crying . Zendaya's acting it just topnotch I am so proud of her.
I cried a few times 😭 this episode was so emotional
Ali is so underrated. I just love his character.
kat deserved better writing
Storm and Nika are so talented and deserve more praise!!
Leslie supremacy
I do love Leslie.
for Jacob Elodi to play a character that people hates the most😂😂😂, well dur deserves an emmy for his acting
hearing barbie speak about kat's storyline makes me hate how much we missed out on bc of what happened behind the scenes. We barely have seen any of what she spoke about regarding her secret camgirl thing and what not.
it’s so sad to see maddy’s constant abuse and trauma be walked over and brushed under the rug. that poor girl went through so much in this episode alone.
Maddy needs to retract about Tyler and send Nate to jail once and for all omg
She would get busted too for lying, oh wait never mind shes a girl
This show portrays addiction and trauma so well. Makes me have to focus on my breathing, being someone who has been through trauma myself. It connects you with the characters and Sam does such a good job with making you feel that way.
Ali helping Gia feel heard and getting her perspective of things had me so messed up, she deserves the entire world especially after everything she's seen and gone through with Rue 🥺
Nika, Storm, and Nika acting the house DOWN in this episode baby. Thay and Sydney all need awards because they really put their hearts into their roles.
this the kind of show that has you crying in the first 5 minutes, masterpiece
The scene where the mirror is reflecting Nate sitting creepily and Maddy getting unchanged, reminds me of Justin Timberlake's Cry Me A River music video.
Bro Kat has been pushed to the side of this show so heavy it makes me so sad she was the one with the most character development in season one and now her whole character is just reduced to wanting break up with ethan
It's the actresse's own fault, she apparently "didn't like the script" (??)
@@vixxp2856 bro this literally IS the script????? This is what she hated
@@Butterball2829 they cut most of her scenes so we‘ll probably never know what the actual script would’ve been
@@Butterball2829 no it isn't. The most of the scenes were cut and we'll never see them because barbie didn't like it lol
My man Ali he’s so sweet
When the tunes of "stand by me" started it was pure cinematic and musical magic
The jolly ranch opening scene going through opioids withdrawal was so spot on, amazing show, also loving the Fexi stand by me
two episodes left.. * cries in glitter **
All three moms had incredible performances this episode (and obv zendaya and the cast
Kat and Ethan deserved better than the haphazard story they got this season
Nate, Cassie, Rue Excellent acting, they definitely deserve Emmy nominations 👏🏽👏🏽.
Leslie, Gia and Ali are really good too
maddy and cassie deserve better, I hope the storyline next season give them some independence and self love and to have genuine true love
Nah Maddy does. Cassie screwed her over so badly and still went back to the abuser Nate.
i liked this episode. 😊 feel bad for maddy tho.
