Emma Gregory is the perfect cast for Minthara. Minthara is that interesting mix of ambitious, ruthless, yet wise and empathetic to a certain degree. She acts exactly like you would expect a Drow to act but she still manages to surprise you with her opinions and actions at the same time. I hope there will be Updates/DLCs/Addons with more Minthara content.
Yaa Emma was able to bring something special into this character. The writers of Larian did an amazing job for this character and Emma added so much more character into her
Those who refuse to embrace Minthara as a companion are simply too WEAK to accept her strength. Her commanding and imperious nature is what sets her apart from the others. Minthara knows herself and knows what she wants, wonderfully acted!
I recognise an interviewer that really got invested in the character, you really figured Minthara out. Thank you Abhi for this really good interview and for the quality of your questions, I appreciate particularly that you let Emma a lot of space to express herself, it is a pleasure to listen to her. I hope we'll see more of Minthara in the future!
thank you to Emma Gregory for bringing such a wonderful character to life, i've fallen in love with Minthara after playing her story and I really wished there was something more done for her, but I'm also happy with what's there and I feel amazed over and over by the great performance Emma has done!
When I heard her voice i knew she was familiar. She had small part in my favorite audio books the Caiphus Cain series. Now i have to try and recruit her at least once.
Very impressed with how the VAs of these relatively minor characters like Minthara and the Nightsong have so much to say. Speaks highly of their professionalism as well as their passion.
That is actually such a great point. EVERY single playable character is amazing. I love each have their own personal journeys as well as your shared one. So much so that I felt left out as my own created character. Until I found out about Dark Urge. I’ve heard a rumor that the Dark Urge origin was originally meant to be default backstory for all characters, which actually makes sense if you know about BG1 and 2
I'm glad I did recruit her though she's still a bit scary. I just finished my Durge redemption playthrough as a drow sorcedin (50/50 Paladin/silver draconic bloodline sorcerer) and I actually found her very nurturing and encouraging. She was routing for each and every one of the the other characters to realise their potential (even Gale after a while). She was kind of the strict camp auntie.
hah that's OK. I think it is a hard question to answer. I think mostly the answer would depend upon Larian , you know. But thank you for asking this question , she really loved it
I turned her good. She went from being a Lolth Sworn bad bitch to a Seladine Drow Cinamon Bun. I played as Drow just so our kids would be pureblood. I'll do a playthrough as a Teifling Cleric of One of Celestian Gods and Romance Karlach next.
Great interview!
"Minthara definitely thinks she's a 10." And she's right 😤🫡
haha well thank you so much for watching
Nobody an resist Mintahara's puppy eyes in that scene with Thorm

Emma's voice is extraordinary! I will definitely check out her audiobook narrations. Minthara definitely needs some DLC!
Yaa her voice is amazing!!

Minthara knows herself and knows what she wants, wonderfully acted!
Yea her commanding nature is def a standout
I romanced her!
I like to listen to Emma's interviews and imagining Minthara speaking wearing casual clothes and glasses
wow that's an interesting imagination
Emma is so amazing I had to look up her other work. I wish there was more content for Minthara.
She is absolutely amazing
The game is popular enough so hopefully there will be some DLC and more stuff with Minthara.
Her voice is amazing.
It is incredible!
Minthara was wonderfully voiced. Thanks Emma for the amazing work you did to bring Minthara to life. 😊
She's the absolute best!
I love that Emma gregory plays minthara, you should listen to her in 40k audio dramas

I fell in love with Minthara the character!
Oh yaa same for me!
Her voice is like a well sharpened knife cutting through silk. 🤌

That's super kind of you! Thank you so much for watching and for supporting. I do hope we get to see more of Minthara as well
Shadowheart, Gale, Lae'zel, and Minthara is my favorite party of characters.
That's wonderful man!

Yaa I'm amazed by how I felt differently about Minthara as the story progressed
@@BehindTheVoicePod i didn't see you answered but same! it was a wild ride for sure and a very interesting and cool character to experience
When I heard her voice i knew she was familiar. She had small part in my favorite audio books the Caiphus Cain series. Now i have to try and recruit her at least once.
Oh that's wonderful!

I can listen to minthara all day.She always make me laugh or think
I really enjoyed when I had her in my camp for the first time and beat Keatheric. Just to come back and she's sitting in his throne.
Yaa and she delivers a great line , I loved that
“I will never tire of sitting on dead men’s thrones” such a brutal line

I'm not qutie sure if Dark Urge was default backstory but its pretty cool to have this because we get a different story that the players can see

Yaa she is kind of a strict person in general
Bought the game to just interact with Minthara.
Oh wow! Hope you are having a good time
Damn I like hearing her talk
Since I have not to slaughter the druids grove anymore to recruit her she is my companion on every run.
That is wonderful
Fantastic interview! I hope to see more content from Emma soon!!
Thank you so much for watching!
@@BehindTheVoicePod Of course! Keep up the great work!
Emma is the best. 💙💙💙
She is awesome
Emma Gregory has done some work for Warhammer 40k audiobooks (the Greyfax audiobooks spring to mind).
Oh yaa and she has done such a fantastic job
Minthara is best girl
She absolutely is!
That's Drow society for you
Ahaha, should've clarified, my question was totally PG! Merely meant any interactions, choices, story portions, inner conflicts and such.
hah that's OK. I think it is a hard question to answer. I think mostly the answer would depend upon Larian , you know. But thank you for asking this question , she really loved it
This was a wonderful interview

@@BehindTheVoicePod Thanks man, Male
Tiefling Cleric of Bahamut coming up.
He's basically going to be Hellboy.
I yeeted her into the abyss in my first playthrough... mistakes were made.
LOL
Youve seen through my mynthara mask..
She looks like Neve Campbell
Interesting
