Seen this scam in person. They always have their “family” with children with them and they almost throw their jewelry at you. I gave the guy $20, didn’t accept his jewelry, and told him that’s all the cash I had and he actually asked me to go into the gas station we were at and get more money from the atm. At that point I knew it was a scam. He was middle eastern as well. I saw him there again a couple weeks later and warned the people talking to him. They were kind enough to give him some money anyhow.
That scam is ancient, a new one is where there'll be a couple people playing a violin through a portable speaker and begging with the typical sob story...and the music sounds great and they really look like they're playing..but its all just pre-recorded music being played through a speaker...LOL! The older people give them money hand over fist!
I was lucky enough to have read a post about this scam a week before this man and his kid attempted to scam me. I was about to enter this gas station when a man called out to me. The man says he needs money for gas to drive back home because they were on a trip but didn't have enough to get back. Also pointing out this man is in his car asking me with his car running, even not stepping out to ask me. I was hesitant at first to say no just to help possibly, but the moment he pulled out a gold chain, I didn't believe him anymore and then proceeded to say no. The kid started saying in a sad voice, "Please help us," repeatedly, but I walked away saying I can't help you.
I read articles about same situation from another country’s news page and they said that these people use hypnosis to trick others to give in, so that’s probably what happened here. No one is that gullible to get tricked by a stranger. I hope this nice lady gets her money back.
I didn't know about this scam until it happened to me in Texas last week. I was out walking getting some exercise and this guy in a car pulls up to me. He hands me a gold ring that had 24k stamped on the inside and says can you help me out with some gas money? My dumbass thought it was real but I was thinking I'd feel real bad about taking this guy's ring, I thought it could be a family heirloom or something. I hand it back to him and said no sorry man I can't, I would feel really bad about only giving you $100 bucks for a solid gold ring thats probably a family heirloom, then I ask him why don't you go to a pawn shop and sell it there, they'd give you a lot more money than what I'd give you? He says he has no ID, then I asked him how are you out driving a car with no ID? He's says sorry my English is bad like he didn't understand the question. I'm thinking hes out here driving around with no license. He takes off his figaro chain and hands it to me and asks if I can help him out with some money. It had 14k stamped on it and I was now wondering if it was real. He said it was real and swore to Allah it was. Now I'm thinking hard and was curious so I caved and said OK but I can only help you out with $20. He says OK I give him a $20 and he give me the figaro but as he's giving me the figaro he claimes it's a $2000 figaro and wanted $60, I said sorry man I can only do 20 for a chain I don't know is real or fake. He says OK no problem and drives off.
They should of told the people to go to a pawn shop but she thought she was getting g real gold. So she thought wow I'm going to make alot of money. I hope they don't come back. Well they didn't and neither did the money.
I believe they should show this on the news channel 4 channel 7:11 in New York because these are all showing different states. Meanwhile, people have to be aware of this scam is going on.
It's not sad. Come on, people. The ones who buy it thought they could come up on someone else's supposedly misfortune but instead got played for their money. Admit it, they got out hustled . You can't tell me they drove to two ATM's to get money to genuinely help those people. LOL😅
Anyone stupid enough to buy “real” jewelry off some shady street vendor deserves the lesson learned. It is sad how so many kind hearted folks are shafted by cheap crooks, but c’mon, an adult should be smarter than that.
I am still wondering what the scam was with this encounter I had. Was at a gas station, broad daylight, and this cute guy drives up wanting to sell me some perfume. I just laughed, told him I am NOT buying perfume at a gas station!! Drove off. But I am wondering… what the racket was? Maybe he was just selling things he shoplifted at the nearby shopping center?
At what point do you admit people are just stupid?

The kid started saying in a sad voice, "Please help us," repeatedly, but I walked away saying I can't help you.
she did not take the photo of license plate?
This was greed, no sympathy.
Does anyone know the names of individuals that got scammed? Because I would really like to reach out to them and offer what I can
Never trust anyone offering more later for less today.
kids got an education on scammers
I read articles about same situation from another country’s news page and they said that these people use hypnosis to trick others to give in, so that’s probably what happened here. No one is that gullible to get tricked by a stranger. I hope this nice lady gets her money back.
Hypnosis 😅😅
Ironically, you're super gullible if you think you can be hypnotized into doing something like this. This isn't a movie, bruh.
@@sneksteppy do you know how hypnosis works though? It’s a real thing, it was even used in earlier psychiatric medicine.
The same family just got arrested in Arizona
"awww I feel bad for taking your jewelry for $20"
"Plz buy it from me"
"Okay, but I'm going to actually need 3x what you originally asked for".
🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
Did it turn out to be fake? I'm hoping it was real.
Don't talk to strangers.
And that's how you got scammed 😢 ....
They should of told the people to go to a pawn shop but she thought she was getting g real gold. So she thought wow I'm going to make alot of money. I hope they don't come back. Well they didn't and neither did the money.
Embarrassing come on u really gave them your $ when this has been going on for so long sad what happened but u know it was too good to be true
I believe they should show this on the news channel 4 channel 7:11 in New York because these are all showing different states. Meanwhile, people have to be aware of this scam is going on.
It's really hard to feel sorry for these people.
But you used it on jewelry
Greed+stupidity
It's not sad. Come on, people. The ones who buy it thought they could come up on someone else's supposedly misfortune but instead got played for their money. Admit it, they got out hustled . You can't tell me they drove to two ATM's to get money to genuinely help those people. LOL😅
I’m at a loss for words. HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE? I mean-COME ONNNN!!!
I feel absolutely awful for her! But geez!!!
greed is what will always sucker you in
If it's too good to be true it's not true😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 GOT UM 🤣🤣🤣
Anyone stupid enough to buy “real” jewelry off some shady street vendor deserves the lesson learned. It is sad how so many kind hearted folks are shafted by cheap crooks, but c’mon, an adult should be smarter than that.
if its too good to be true probably is. I had a guy trying to sell me speakers im like yeah ok oldest trick in the book. People are really dumb
You can not give and still be nice
I am still wondering what the scam was with this encounter I had. Was at a gas station, broad daylight, and this cute guy drives up wanting to sell me some perfume. I just laughed, told him I am NOT buying perfume at a gas station!! Drove off. But I am wondering… what the racket was? Maybe he was just selling things he shoplifted at the nearby shopping center?
Wear them ms tee! 🤣I pity this fool!
