I was born and raised in Canada and my Scottish immigrant grandparents lived with us. My grandfather did not like corn and we rarely ate it. He said it was cow food. I live in corn and cattle country. The corn fields around here are amazing.
Earlier this year I planted about 20 individuals really tight together in a patch where I removed a half dead ugly shrub. I bought them in Asda for a few quid, it’s not been my intention to grow cobs, I just wanted something temporary to fill a space in a bed until I decided on something more permanent. Safe to say it’s worked a treat, no one knows what it is as it doesn’t look like sweetcorn as it’s a dense clump of huge stems and leaves. Looks great even though won’t gain anything from it, and has done what I wanted!
Hi Ivan the seeds you sent me are do well but a little smaller, than the ones in the video will give them another week or so. Once again thank you for the seeds and thanks for sharing.
