I just realized, that hand Mohg holds, is fuckin huge dude. Its bigger than Mohg's face. If that was the body of a tiny lil kid-dude, how in the hell are his arms so long and his hand so big? Maybe that ISN'T Miquella after all.... but who then? Carmen Sandiego, that's right.
@@r3gret2079 The reason he went into the cocoon was to try to get rid of his permanent kid status
In the main, Melina says she was born at the foot of the Erdtree. Supports the Mequela theory.
@@StinkyPeteGuy is that right? I knew it was him in there, I just thought that kinda weird.
@@r3gret2079 it might not be him still idk, i just know that was his original reasoning for going cocoon mode. there could def be some hocus pocus at play
Miquella, when you first get into the Shadow Realm: “Alright, what’s goin on tarnished?”
"Yo Tarnished, what's popin' cuh"
“Tarnished, fam, my opp’s tryna to pop me in the head right now. Could you just do me a quick solid and take him out? His name is Messmer.”
Tarnished "Aight, I pull up"
"WHAT'S UP, TARNISHED! Miquella here with another (*speaker blasting audio*) LAND OF SHADOW VIDEO!!!" (*MLG airhorns*)
“Doing well? That’s good… I’m gonna kill now”
I swear we will keep finding new stuff in the trailer 2 years from now.
yes, iand it wil be mundane shit thats in plain sight and not a secret at all
The iron maidens also grab you with snakes. The woman in the iron maiden is holding a baby, swaddled in cloth, like the GEQ and her newborn godskin apostles.
I think Messmer was born the same way as a godskin apostle. Through the amniotic sac. Like a godskin apostle/noble, Messmer seems to assimilate physiology foreign to him.
A small thing I noticed: In the intro of the game, when Marika is shown in her crucified pose with the dress swirl behind her, she is wearing what appears to be snake bracelets. In every other image or depiction of Marika, she's never shown with these outside of that one shot.
I can't really make out for certain that they are snakes. Im not saying they aren't either.
thats a really cool observation, it could possibly be proof for my personal theory that Messmer is Marika's oldest child and the snak bracelets are from before snakes became a blasphemous image
What if the person missing from the painting is the father of the baby, with the person sitting on the chair being the old head of the house, that would mean that they don't want to tell us who the father is.
is it Godfrey then, if the figure is (obviously only a slim chance) marika's "father"?
It’s Radagon Guys, because Messmer has Red Hair
@@the1384 Or potentially Marika's brother? Looks like a family photo, and I agree that the empty side is where someone else is supposed to be. Otherwise the framing of the picture is off. Could Messmer be Marika's twin brother?
@@hornfan4life Or a sister perhaps? (GEQ maybe)
Since the trailer for the DLC was released, I had the belief that the woman in the painting is a pregnant Marika, before she was even considered an Empyrean. To me, the old man is probably her first husband (probably some noble man used by her too) and the biological father of Godwyn. I strongly believe that Godfrey is not the real father of Godwyn, and he could only bear Omen child like Mogh and Morgott with Marika, thus another untold reason why he was "discarded" after he was no longer useful to her.
I dont want to be disappointed. I'm gonna say the kicks are just an ash of war you can put on fist weapons
Lord Michael Zak confirmed, months ago, that some “monk style inspired by a fighting game” Will be one of the new 8 weapon types.
Worry not, I’m pretty sure they have a whole moveset
6:30 that might be the reason Mogh's armor calls him a 'raving lunatic', he thinks he caught Miquella but instead he got duped xD
I think that pregnant lady in the painting is a deathbed companion. She has the same clothing style as Fia's. And with Mesmers Flame, you said it could possibly be every kind of flame, which makes sense, because Mesmer is all sinfull archetypes in one. But I think that those 'tendrils' are the thorns from the Thorn/Aberrant Sorceries, which are also sinfull in Elden Ring. I haven't heard anyone speak about this tho.
I’ve seen it too, the Pregnant Ladys clothing is similar to a Deathbed Companions and also similar to the Clothes those Giant Female Skeletons have in the Eternal Cities.
I’ve seen in the comments multiple people saying how they’re on break or something like than. And I’ve noticed that everytime Zio posts it’s basically near lunch time in school as well. He found the perfect time to post videos lmao, when everyone is free to watch in the work day.
I'm at work right now, just grabbed a coffee and now new ziostorm
At lunch in gr12, should be studying for exams now that it’s may but ziostorm posted what else can I do
There’s about 24 time zones on the planet though.
I just considered that among the 8 new weapon types, not even thinking that they are probably adding some new weapons to the classics we already have
I think the sleep-alien looking thing, with the placenta boomerang, looks like it’s wielding a Curved Greatsword - but its unique Ash of War will be the ranged boomerang throw.
Yes, plenty of classics will be getting spiced up. Exciting stuff
i hope we get a cool sleep Int Katana
Hopefully a Frenzy Scythe
@@Darkheart00I think it'll most likely be one of the new throwing weapons. Maybe they'll give us the boomerangs the beastmen use too
@@draw2death421 bro I hope so too
The big question is:
Will we get Alexanders flaming shoryuken as an AoW?
Why is nobody talking about the giant boomerang that the guy in the purple swap throws at the player?? its gotta be one of the new throwing weapons!
If we got a giant boomerang as a weapon, I would be absolutely in love
It reminds me of what the Beastmen of Farum Azula throw.
Australians are gonna love that weapon
We better get the crystalians chakram then!!
@@Car_made_of_cheese Look, probably. They’re really hard to get rid of though.
They keep coming back.
Suppose the painting in the dlc trailer could be a family portrait ? Thus it could be that the painting is damaged and we learn that in the dlc or they deliberately showed off a damaged family portrait
It also looks like messmer has both of the godskin bracelets on. One of their bracelets on each hand.
Was one of the first things I noticed about his design, they’re very similar but not the same unfortunately
Also both Messmer and the dude at 8:04 are wearing Roman-esque armor. I bet that NPC with the cool sword has something to do with Messmer.
The whole dlc has to do with Roman themes. The base game has a distinct lack of Roman attire and weapons. The most notable ones being the gladiator armor and the executioner greatsword along with the smaller version found in a cave. They both have weapon arts that say they come from the land of Eochaid. I believe that land is wherever most of the Roman looking NPCs come from or share some relationship to. Elemer's armor also looks very Roman if you look past all the thorns.
Shit Messmer looks like he's wearing Roman attire.
There is a video someone made explaining that elden ring is essentially Rome. If that is the case then where did all the Roman attire go?
Is it really a coincidence that the word Numen sounds a lot like the word Roman? I think not!! @@joaop2294
@@joaop2294 i think they might have their Armor from the same Land 😏
The ring in Miquellas looks like the "Entwining Umbilical Cord", a talisman that is not avaible. I think its supposed to do the same as that ring from DS3, perform as the opposed gender.
Sice both are the same gender it would be needed for god and lord relationship
Something I noticed but am not 100% sure of, the miquella ring design also resembles the design on the elevator floor of the divine towers.
Using mighty mouse clip to rep champion belts was indicating a man of culture. Respect
Had to show the 🐐
Great video! To me it feels like Messmer is like an amalgation of all of the aspects. You mention the flame in this video, but I think we've also discussed his armor with an oddly Godskin-like look and his different eyes and snake imagery. Can't wait for the DLC's big reveal.
I mostly remember the painting for the epic violin that plays during the shot
Something about that violin hits so good!
no fr the trailer soundtrack better be in the game because it goes unimaginably hard
In regards to the speculation around the "new" martial arts weapon. In the examples that Zios compares, pretty sure both characters are wearing the exact same chest piece, with one of them being tailored to remove the necklace and cowl through Bok/Golden Needle.
I've seen so much speculation about this weapon being something completely knew, but I haven't really seen anyone speculate that's it's just a new weapon in the fist category. One that doesn't have a cestus around the hand like the other fist weapons, while having a completely unique move set that incorporates kicks in it's basic attacks or Ash of War...
I love this community and I love how much we speculate every morsel we get in trailers, but sometimes I think we overthink stuff and the answer is often straightforward. 😁
Maybe the „Mother“ this guy in the trailer is referring to isn’t even Marika but the Formless Mother ?
Arise and shine ye Tarnished!
38 days from now until release lads!!!
Messmer also has a ring but on his other finger as opposed to the one we see body in the cocoon wearing. I doubt that has anything to do with anything but maybe worth looking into. Also, the position of the ring on Messmer's finger as well as the ring on the said body in the cocoon. On Messmer's hand, the ring is on his left middle finger but the ring on the body in the cocoon its on the right hand and the second to last finger from your pinky (don't know if this also considered a ring finger but hopefully you get what I mean). Looking it up, the ring on the middle finger means responsibility and individuality, power and like balance. And wearing a ring on the right ring finger can symbolize I think a connection to someone but in some cultures it can mean being engaged or marriage. So if the body in the cocoon is indeed Miquella' (don't know) that finger could mean like a kind of devotion of some sorts. Obviously the only other person that I can think of that Miquella is extremely devoted to of course is his sister Malenia. And Messmer's ring and where it's position is could possibly show his status in the realm of shadow as someone who is trying to balance certain things and shows he is responsible for something. What that something is well, it's either eliminating things that have been "stripped of the grace of gold," or something else completely. I get it if I am reaching I get it if I sound crazy but the sheer hype that I have for this particular game is actually insane so I wanted to just incorporate some of my thoughts and I hope this could sit well for some people and if it doesn't well I do apologize lol.
In regards to the corpse, maybe it is Messmer. If thats the case, then there may be a common theme between him, Ranni, and Melina. All 3 would be dead in body, with one eye closed. Maybe the closed eye symbolizes being "half asleep" in the same vein as death being the long sleep.
Personally, I think Miquella is in the cocoon. I think the quote refers to the body being a husk and Miquella's soul no longer being attached. Kinda like he has transcended his body.
It’s definitely Miquella in the cocoon. The slide shows Mohg snatching him away, and then tells us his whole dynasty plan hinges on Miquella hatching.
But now I’m kinda thinking that maybe instead of becoming St. Trina via the haligtree, Mohg’s blood infusion turned him into Messmer instead. In a dream.
I don’t know, after reading that, I’m not even convincing myself anymore. 😂
we already know miquella is in there. Mohg's cutscene says all that
@@herkadoo5519 yeah I know, and I agree, but so many people in this community are mislead by herd mentality. One person sees Messmer and says “OMG Messmer has a long arm like Miquella’s body does😱😱” and everyone now believes the body isn’t Miquella’s lol.
@bigdee8469 a lot of people thought he was Messmer they have the same weird long arm
@@kingjaffa618 I'm starting to believe that Mogh was tricked and that this arm is actually Messmer.
Nothing like waking up to a Ziostorm video posted 1 minute ago.
Damn son I wish I was just now waking up lmao
True. I'm here before 30 mins, so I'm happy.
Idk man, I've woken up to a beautiful woman whispering she loves me and nuzzling into my neck, and that's kinda neat
In the painting. It looks like there is a baby in his lap.
I’d say there is 100% something more to the painting not even a question in my mind there is more to the side.
The ring might be twigs hence the haligtree.
Interesting theory with Messmer being the body in the cocoon. Messmer has similar long fingers as the hand in the cocoon, and he is wearing a ring in the fight on the middle finger of his left hand. However, hand in the cocoon wears it on the right hand. Haven't been able to see which kind of ring it is he is wearing in the fight, though.
seems to be a signet ring of some sort, not the same shape as the ring on the corpse's finger. Still very interesting theory though.
Another thing to stare "hours" at is Messmer's bracer. It has a mark on it, I have been trying to match it up. They aren't just showing you that little flame from his hand. His ring likely has a seal on it but they have hid it. The old dude in the painting is "royalty," but it's possible something is not on the left side there. Good catch. Also, Messmer's flame when he throws it has a "rot" tinge to it at the end. It's not white or red, it's more like a peach color.
Doesn't look like a belt. There is a strap coming from the left shoulder. Looks more like a bag/ fanny pack/satchel.
You're right! I really think that's a part of the armor though. I seriously have no idea how you're gonna equip this weapon
@@Dastardly_Duo it's gonna be a hand wielded catalyst. I'm almost certain. Like a brass knuckles or something
@@ghousejetsfan Yea I was thinking the same, but it seems like a foot weapon
@@Dastardly_Duo true, but it could be more of an ash of war rather than how the weapon would be used in real life
@@ghousejetsfan Yea I'm pretty sure that helicopter kick is an ash. I just wanna see more gameplay, just a little. That's all I need to hold me over till next month
Maybe you could argue that the body in the cocoon was actually Messmer trying to come to the lands between from The Shadow Lands and Miquella sabotaged it and Mohg though he was bringing the coming of Miquella but actually it was Messmer
It's not a crest, it's a bag. At least from what I can tell. If you look closely in the clip where he kicks the knight, you can see the flap of it, seperating it from the rest of the bag.
There's also some stuff hanging on the bag in the image, that isn't there in the video, from what I can tell. So I wonder if this is the weapons item afterall, or if it's just part of the armor. But the way the straps work in conjuction to the armor itself, it would surprise me if it really IS the weapon.
I'm much more looking at the weird fog/mist/steam coming from the characters legs, and assume this, as a visual effect, may be what tells us they're using this weapon. The way it shapes almost like an extension to the foot while he's preparing his next kick during the video, and the way we don't see it fully dissipate afterwards leads me to believe this might be the actual weapon "indicator" or whatever.
Edit:
Also, forgot to mention, it looks like in both the image and the video the character is wearing the exact same armor set, just in the image without the hat, and the missing necklace and cloak probably being an altered version of the chest piece. But both still have the same design regardless. Look for example at the gloves, the boots and the sleeves of the chest piece. Maybe I'm wrong tho, who knows.
2:03 I just noticed that the knight has a MASSIVE twin blade I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone talk about that considering all of the knight weapons very much are obtainable.
Edit: 6:58 I believe we're holding the same weapon here as well looks pretty similar.
Me looking at my ps4 "Here we go again old friend"
The ring looks more like it’s made of those little red limbs on the Rykard remembrance sword
The belt may be the new leveling system item
Love when I get the notification that zio video just dropped!!!😊
when messmer burns his flame in the cutscene it looks like the shape of the erdtree
I really love the speculations:)
Well it can't just be me scouring the Internet for crums of news and any lore pretty sure I'm going insane
the image on the right is not a belt, it has straps on both sides running up and around his neck.
Like the Flying Senpou Monk
The DLC fighting style /martial art seems looks the part for Martial Art Monks
The person laying in the sleep lake and lily’s is actually the skeleton riding horse thingy. From what I see in the trailer, it’s the same exact area. I think that boss will emerge from that body
It crossed my mind the other day about the coccoon , I think it is the child of Miquella and Mogh. Messmer. Look at the long dangling arms , same as the coccoon . Plus Mogh is speaking to Miquella as she is there but referring to their child a creation of both. That is also why he has the blood flame included in his powers
my theory is that the Land of Shadow is a mirrored but twisted version of "banished" things from the Lands Between. Messmer being the banished body of Miquella, who has taken inheritance from a lot of the lesser outer gods (formless mother, fell god of giants, etc.) which leads to his flame having aspects of multiple outer god flames.I dont think it is destined death, as the only ones who have been able to take control of it were malikith and ranni, but instead potentially aspects of blackflame. we just akin it to destined death because the other influences make it look similar. (and maybe all the other flames are lesser offshoots of destined death, and when they blend together, they become similar in power)
I have always thought since the beginning of the game that at one point all the different fire types were once one flame. Probably when the shattering happened, the flame also shattered into different specific types
Or more likely it cheaper to do pallet swaps and say their different then it is to put the time work and effort in.
@@SpottedHares yeah if you actually took a closer look at them, they are almost all different in their design. The only two that look the same in their designs are the black flame and Destin death because they literally are the same just one without the red Destin death stain because black flame is Destin death just after Destin death had been removed.
But hey, your surface level thinking will definitely get you far.
I've been saying this about the cocoon from the start. Looks like messemer and the ring was very snake like. Can't wait to find out what everything means I can barely keep it together
Weird theory, but if the ring of Miquella is indeed where we will enter the DLC, could Mohgwyn come out of the Land of Shadows as he comes up from the ground in the cutscene before his boss fight. I know it could just be him coming out from wherever or maybe perhaps where the Formless Mother is, but i still find it interesting that maybe Mohgwyn was in the Land of Shadow. Also maybe there is a link between Messmer and Mohgwyn having similar fires. My theory has always been that when Messmer says "Mother", he is not saying it to Marika, but rather the Formless Mother.
ive been on a lore binge today, and you uploaded at the perfect time 👍🏻 one month boys
same. Just started prepping for the dlc in the game and watching some of the lore to be fully prepared.
The differences in the attire seen in the screenshots could very well be due to alterations...
The opening artwork of Elden Ring shows Mohg carrying Miquella after having torn open the cocoon in the Haligtree, so it's highly unlikely that someone else's body is in the Mohgwyn Palace cocoon. It's more likely that Mohg tried his own method of breaking the curse of Miquella's perpetual prepubescence, and the adult body in the Mohgwyn cocoon is the result of that. That's a great spot with the Rykard paintings though!
Regarding other imagery that could be major, the "basin" aligned with the Erdtree's sap probably warrants a video. The structure seems like it's meant to capture the sap being forced out of the tree, but it appears to only have two sides rather than being a proper bowl. Even though this shape should be causing the sap to easily spill out of it, we never see where the sap goes once it has reached this "basin." The sap doesn't spill in front of the structure, and the trailer shots carefully conceal if the sap is falling behind the structure, since the vertical slits never properly align with where the sap could be moving.
If it's not actually a basin, what might the structure's actual purpose be? If it's meant to harness the Erdtree's sap in some form, it slightly reminds me of the Frenzied Flame "eye" atop the tower at the Frenzied Flame Village, as well as the general image of the sun shining above a tower with crown-like merlons on the Sun Realm Shield.
Thanks for another neat video, Ziostorm.
1:58 The two armors look quite different in my opinion. The one on the left is wearing what looks like an outfit completely out of leather while the one on the right looks like it was made from fabric.
with the painting smudge I think that there might be another character on the left smudge, a big theory is that the old guy is marikas father and the character on the right is marika, i think it could be cool if the thing on the left if it turns out to be another character to be radagon, would make some sort of sense if they where siblings or smth and joined idk something outlandish like that, im just guessing but would be very cool to see
I just love that you chose Mighty Mouse Demetrious Johnson as to show a hand to hand combat champion!!! Amazing!!! Respect
The body in the cocoon matches Mesmer more than what we think Miquella would look like too.
everything points to rykard and the dancers
in 2:32 of the trailer, there is something similar as the painting you mentioned covered
during Messmer grab Attack, the throne behind him suddenly gets Dark
maybe about the statue behind him
I know is disappointing but the kick will most likely to be an ash of war for fist weapons or something like that, not a new weapon type, just like it's an ability in Sekiro
The wide shot of the church at 8:09...purple flames in the hanging lamps and then the large candlestick thats fallen over on the right kinda looks like a bewitching branch. The motifs look almost like Raya Lucaria, but these other details are of course related to St. Trina. I wonder if there is some faction that is a combination of the two.
this is realy a good video , am I crazy to think the other half of the painting maybe it will allwo us to enter the painting
In conjunction to the ring thats on the hand of Miquella's supposed corpse, i saw a video explaining that it has a veey similar design to that of the ouroboros wich is a snake eating its own tail. In the ring we can se that its not one but many snakes intertwined. So maybe it could be a symbology about the story of the dlc that it is mainly about destruction and creation wich is what the ouroboros means
It also has the yellow of frenzied flame js
It looks more like a satchel/over the shoulder bag than a belt to me.
Maybe it's St Trina in the tree, who has a strong relation to Miquella in a similar fashion to Radagon and Marika; as we know they existed as 2 different individuals at one time.
The old guys brooch looks just like the head of the burial watchdog staff/hammer thing
Everytime i see Messmer i think of Rykard
Is the man in the painting holding a baby in his arms?? There is in indent in his left arm that appears to be the shape of a babies head with room on his lap for the body. Am I the only one seeing this?
This is actually a good theory...what if the body in the coccoon is actualy Messmer? I always found it wierd that spindly long and sharp nailed hand to be Miquella's hand when the statues of him are so different. We know for a fact Messmer has some relation with a tree (the one in the shadow realm) but what if its linked to the Haligg Tree as well, Messmers corruption beign the reason it didn't get to grow properly.
🗿Alright 🗿what’s going on guys 🗿
if the one inside the cocoon isn't Miquella why would that person be inside there anyway?? Like, that cocoon was extracted by Mohg from the Halightree from the hole we can clearly see in Malenia's arena. Who could possibly be stuck in there if not Miquella?
Ya, it's pretty much impossible to tell, but in that painting, standing next to the old guy on the other side is John Cena.
Nooo all the elden ring content is getting me hyped I can’t take the wait anymore
miquella and messmar arent the only ones who had a black aura that fades into cinders…. BELL BEARING HUNTER ALSO HAS A SIMILAR EFFECT
Cool thing to note: When we kill Morgott in Leyndell, we see his body. However, in both instances we kill Mohg, he always fades away, and we do not see his body. It is entirely possible Mohg will be in the DLC.
If you look closely its not a belt but a bag they are wearing over a shoulder, super clear @1:30
3:48 Based on the size and composition of the picture, this looks like a picture of a family of 3 with the couple and the father of one of them, not sure why the husband has to be hidden, maybe this is a character we already know, Radagon is the most potential candidate
I'm going to the beach when this releases😬 might have to bring the console with me
Idk if it was mentioned before but someone said that Messmer was the old god of the dragons. Definitely an interesting theory
The martial arts "belt" looks more like a satchel. You can see straps going up around the neck and shoulder.
So happy that I’ll be able to play this DLC the very second it drops. And I will 100% be ready. Already got vacation time, so it’s just a countdown now.
With the old ‘Living in Death’ fellow - I think he’s pulling out his own Rune. We see a similar grotesque extraction method with Maliketh and Elden Beast. Godwyn rebirthed by Fia to become Messmer (his dragon/serpent aspect)? Who knows. The necklace thing on the h2h combat guy looks like a brooch used to pin the cape on, maybe able to be altered and we see both versions.
Also the 3 part ring on the withered hand could tie into Mohg’s 3 pronged spear as a symbol of his Dynasty. He clearly intends a Trinity. Even his terrifying Blood Ritual is based on 3 loving stabs to bleed out whomever he is using it on.
I’ve always thought the cocoon arm was way too long for a child. My guess is it’s Messmer’s, as why would Miquellas arm grow massive once he’s in the cocoon? I don’t think Mohg had much to do with the size increase as nowhere else do we see the formless mother’s corruption increasing creatures sizes.
Could it be possible that we are entering Messmer’s dream? Maybe Miquella convinced Messmer to enter the cocoon as penance for burning the Erdtree. Miquella fools and lies to everyone saying it’s him and then goes into Messmer’s dream to right some wrong where he won’t be disturbed, protected by his sister.
This would allow for his haligtree to flourish while he was still at work. But unfortunately with malenia leaving to fight in caelid, he was left alone to be stolen, thus taking that life force from the tree. With Malenia returning without the needle, the tree rotted.
Why would something grow inside a cocoon? Because it's... in a cocoon. The point of a cocoon is to undergo a metamorphosis, to grow and change. Miquella was cursed with eternal youth, which he didn't want. Also, it's not just the arm that's large, the whole body is large because it's a reused version of Morgott's body after he's defeated. Since we only really see the arm, it's less obvious that it's a recycled asset.
The Shadow Lands are almost certainly not a dream, since Miyazaki stated it's not a separate dimension or time period, but a real place that's been sealed or shrouded by Marika.
@@Galamoth06 and also the proportion of the body in the cocoon is much larger than Messmer
I have an idea. What if it’s not Miquella in the cocoon, but Messmer’s body? Miyazaki’s statement that the body in the cocoon is not Miquella but closely related to him suggests a significant connection between Miquella and whoever is inside the cocoon. Maybe this body is connected to Miquella's purpose? The cocoon could be a containing Mesmer's body. One strong hint for me is that the ring indeed resembling snakes and it would be symbolic representation of a connection to the Lands of Shadow and Messmer. It is possible that Miquella was not kidnapped against his will but agreed to collaborate with Mogh (or even used Mogh because Mogh somehow already had this cocoon with the Messmer's body). Together, they aimed to follow Messmer’s footsteps, implying that Miquella sought to accomplish something that Messmer had already achieved in the past. We might be following Miquella's steps because Miquella could not complete the journey. So our goal is to fulfill what Miquella and Messmer started.
This gives me hope that we'll see the return of the Vanquishers Seal in some way.
Could be that both martial art characters are wearing the same set, with the altered version being depicted on the official site.
Definitely more to that painting that meets the eye. Interesting 🤔
What astonishes me is how many videos can be made on the trailer
20 videos in the last month or so. At least 50 since the trailer came out. Quantity over quality, I guess.
I haven't really seen anyone mention it, but the voice in the trailer that says "touch the withered arm" reallyy sounds like ranni to me. Maybe a bit older? Could just be me but it sounds super similar. With Radahn being a requirement, it wouldn't be far off to think she'd make an appearance
I have a theory that if you are frenzied you will enter the dlc as hostile to Miquella or Melina, thats why we have the option to remove it with the golden needle, that would make sense for the frenzy lord ending.
Also, Miquella’s ring may simbolyze some kind of covenant between Miquella and Messmer.
Look at Mesmer's ring if you can slow it down. Also, his left eye is closed, perhaps sealed.
That guy might be on to something...
I'm going to hug that shadow tree just watch me.
I’m praying I can put bloodflame on martial arts moves. For my main character I’ve been using spiked caestus with bloodflame and it looks so cool
Mesmer is the body in the egg. Mohg works with/for him and the nameless mother. Mesmer probably swayed is brother. Mesmer’s soul is in shadow land
If the belt works like a staff but with physical attacks that would be sick.
Something about the painting: it's possible that it's not as much "editing" as much as perhaps censoring something. One artist painting over another's work is something that has been practiced for a very long time. Maybe this could be a case of someone removing context by painting over certain details, or changing someone's portrait to make them more "attractive."
Or maybe I'm overthinking it and it is just going to be an edit to hide a detail.
