Patiently waiting for Brave Fencer Musashi Remastered.
I honestly wouldn't mind getting a full remake / graphic overhaul of brave fencer musashi, but still keep the same art style.
Just give me Xenogears with speed toggle.
Oh man that was a fun game. I actually beat it again recently.

I think this game is more palatable today than it was when it came out. It was a bit ahead of it's time imo.

If these remasters do well we may someday get one for Xenogears
they should of did xenogears or brave fencer Musashi instead, saga series was never big title out of Japan
@@kyotheman69 I can't blame them for not doing a Xenogears remaster right away. If they wanted to restore what was cut in disc 2 they'd basically have to make it all from scratch, and the game itself is already like 70 hours long.
Brave Fencer Musashi would have been really cool though

@@dansmith1661 bro you realize Xenogears was a Playstation exclusive right? You talk as if playstation couldnt handle the content when they are way more lax now than then. The only platform likely to censor it would be Nintendo and even that isn't likely anymore. This isn't the 90s anymore, Playstation games go way harder now than they did in the 90s, Xenogears would be just fine. Tell me the last game that cut out blood on Playstation in recent years, have you ever played Days Gone, Last of Us 1 & 2, the recent Mortal Kombat games... PS4/PS5 can easily handle Xenogears content. That game while awsome is vanilla compared to tons of games released on Playstation since.
Lately it's been retro gamer's paradise: Secret of Mana, Trials of Mana, Grandia, SaGa Frontier and the upcoming Legends of Mana. Awesome!!
I awaited for years to see a remastered edition..
This is hands down one of my top five PSX game's it has a charm that other RPGs couldn't touch or emulate but have attempted with poor results.

I remember seeing this trailer as a kid, I remember seeing the robot and always wondered about about the game and what it was. Like this was before I could read and everything I'm 27 now so I'm not gonna miss this chance.

Dude he can learn some of the best martial arts techs though! He does look bad ass with a gun though haha
Fuse is pretty versatile, he can use martial arts, guns, or magic from the get-go.
One of my favorite games of all time, well deserved remaster
Mop up all the bad ideals that got left on the cutting room floor when Square was making its 90s masterpieces, squeeze them out into a cauldron, then heat up short of a boil, shake, don't stir, and you get Saga Frontier.
I loved this game back on my first PlayStation. My favorite move was the Asura’s Revenge. ❤

I was a big fan of the GameBoy SaGa games, released as Final Fantasy Legend games in the US. Is there any connection to those games in the systems and themes found in this game?
Absolutely love this game, and yeah, I'd take it over every other Square/Square Enix product I've played. But, I do have to admit, when people bash this game, I get why. I mean when this came out after FFVII people weren't having it given the company it came from. The game is very unfriendly to new players (you kind of need to know what to do and when to do it or you will freaking pay for it!) and many of it's mechanics were ill-explained at the time of release. I don't think the game was a 10 out of 100 like EGM said it was back in 1998, but then I think GamePro's review was way too kind. It's definitely a mixed bag - but a mixed bag I ended up loving. Glad to see it back, I'm going to have to pick this up.

Anyone know if this game is worth playing on my iPhone? I missed this back in the day.
Think I only played one saga game, but grew uo on nes, snes. Lufia 2, crystalis, and Enix rpgs before SE on snes were and are still greats.
There were three SaGa games on SNES, but they all stayed in Japan. We did get the original trilogy on Gameboy though, called Final Fantasy Legend in the West.
I wasn’t a big fan of the original (briefly tries in my 20’s), but the remaster might be worth playing :)
Is it worth paying £50 for a physical copy for someone with no nostalgia for the game?

@@TheMixedPlateFrequency Yup! Got to test it myself. The Takonomics glitch isn't a glitch anymore; it's a straight up feature and implemented exploit. An amazing job on a remaster

This game was so weird, I think it was a blockbuster rental lol. I liked Squaresoft and I think this game captivated me for a week or so but I really didn't know what the hell to make of it as a kid. We really need a Xenogears remake, similar to the effort they put into SO2.

again the 8th scenario did not unlock if you didn't do certain scenario's in right order
I played Asellus first (evil ending) and Fuse became unlocked
I played a ton of this as a kid but never beat any playthrough just ran around killing monsters and exploring
plus most people never started with robot first pretty ruining your play time, because story doesn't advance if you don't pick right characters in right order, who the fuck would figure that out back then when internet was very young state, even game magazine weren't much help
"After a few hours I'm sure you'll feel the same way" so far? Not feeling the game. Finding it too confusing for it's own good TBH... still. Knowing there isn't a right or wrong way to go definitely helps.

I only played a little of both, probably more of SaGa 1 than 2, but 2 did feel like the better game.

The lack of PS4 physical release completely took away my interest in buying.
You can import one from PlayAsia apparently, but it IS more costly to buy it that way then the digital version. And said version will, admittedly, most likely be in Japanese

Because it costs more to do a physical copy be happy they even did a remastered.. Now watch if they did a physical copy for 50 or 60 bucks you'd probably bitch about the price and than complain that it should be a cheap game since its a old game..

This is definitely one of the most divisive games in the PS1 library. Either you played it as a kid and love it for nostalgia factor, or you played it years later and hate it for its obtuse and clunky mechanics.

Yeah, Blue has an actual ending now and Lute has some what of a story now lol.
It's way overpriced for a PS1 remaster. They should have at least included Saga Frontier 2 to make it worth the price.

thing i hated about this game, you wasting your time if you don't do scenarios in order, they don't count if you cleared them out of order, not sure if that was fixed in remaster, in original you had to start with robot or kiss your time spent good bye

If you ask me, this game looks terrible. I'm a huge square enix RPG fan, but this looks about as remastered as a couple of their mobile games.
I played the original and never liked it, and it's not because of its troubled production.
The RNG used in the game is through the roof here, making me waste so much time trying to 'level up' my characters only to not have significant stats grow after so long it became its own messed up chore.
Maybe this remaster will change my opinion of it IF they've made significant QoL improvements to make the grinding less tedious, but for now, I'll stick to more traditional leveling up systems thank you.
It fixes this in some ways but you’ll want to seal abilities to learn new ones quicker.
Grinding doesn't really work in this game. Like most SaGa games, you only really "level up" when fighting stuff stronger than you. Also, mechs can carry you through the early game, since they don't level up at all. Just pile all you best stuff on one and he'll be a literal tank.

and yes, I said grinding cause you still need to fight enemies in order to gain stats and skills to get stronger cause these kinds of games are brutal AF

Dude you really need to try it. This game is a classic. Personally own the original along with Legend of Mana. Give it a whirl you will love the story. Don't need voice acting. It's It's true Square Classic 💖💖💖💖
