I dunno.... when "Just like 73" popped up in my YT video feed and I saw who the band was, I thought the song would just be a nostalgic throwback to the DL "clean and technical processed hard rock" sound of the 80s, something I loved at the time but I'm simply not into at the moment, Good for a listen or two, but that's it. I was very pleasantly surprised that it actually wasn't! This track grabs you from the opening note and it CRANKS with raw energy. Must've played it a dozen times already and will probably play it a dozen more times before the day finishes.

Honestly? Fan since ‘84 so yeah, I’m old. On my third listen through it I found it unremarkable. It’s another case of acknowledging their roots? Again? Really? It breaks my heart to admit it but I was disappointed.
Well that sucks when you consider the momentum that the Diamond Star Halos album achieved.
I mean come on, when Take What You Want was released I played the hell out of it. That opening riff was/is a monster. That song sounded like it had a purpose, but Born In ‘73?
It sounds phoned in, lazy with a concept that they’ve already beaten like a dead horse.
I love this band, I really do and I hope this will eventually grow on me.
I didn’t feel a thing and that bothers me.

Boring predictable song. Hate the nostalgia trip. Agree…..Leppard need to rock harder…..give Viv a chance to shine.

These legends are so 70's influenced, I'm more 80's, and current day. I love them, this is not particularly my cup of tea, which is surprising since I grew up in the 70's, with parents to listened to the carpenters, frank Sinatra, ect. Most of this 70's stuff are from England, not America. I loved finally listening to real rock, led zeppelin, deep purple amongst others, putting that aside, I'm starting to have an appreciation of t-rex, slade, mott the Hoople, on and on, def Leppard are the only group who can pull it off. Much agreement about wanting Vivian to be have an opportunity to shine more often, he's phenomenal !

I can't get past the lame video to hear the song. Had I known it was like that I would have turned away form the monitor andlistend to it.
