The hidden Bluetooth mode for steam deck works for Fire TV Luna games, also I am able to connect my 2.4 GHz (non-hall) model to my iOS iPhone as well and play games on iPhone!!
I believe the newer versions of this controller (non Bluetooth) are Hall effect sticks now. I just got one and there’s a sticker on the box that says they are

I managed to connect mine with my switch. It's paired, but the buttons or joystick is not working, how can I fix this?
It's connected but not actually paired, this happened to me. All you do is update the firmware & you're good.
I wanted to ask , once you pair it to steam deck with Bluetooth mode does it connect automatically connect when you switch to d-input or do you have to to go through putting it into Bluetooth mode and connecting it again??
I can't seem to get mine paired regardless of what I try. My firmware is the latest on the controller, even with wired pro controller pairing on it just won't connect.
That makes the $20 difference even more stupid. The hall effect pieces aren't that expensive so they should probably lower the prices.

Well yes but they'll kill off a lot of their revenue, a modest price bump of like 30% the price for at least 2x the controller lifespan is still a great deal. Company's gotta live so they can bring us more of this ya know

If it doesnt you need to turn on wired pro controlers in your settings then it does work

wtf! Thankyou! I actually bought this controller a few days ago and f**ked up as I bought a wireless version but not a BT one. This fix actually works and I'm connected to my Steam Deck without the dongle!!!

IMO it is very unhelpful to sell the same shell in loads of different configurations. I bought a non BT one by accident but I'm glad I did now as I've saved money with a free upgrade.
