I never bought Links Awakening because it looked too childish and easy from the first impression. Is it fun and not too easy? Then I might give it a try.. Anyway, I hope EoW won't be too easy with all the echoes... That's my main concern.

i don't notice frame drops personally unless they go from like, 60fps to 10fps. otherwise i just dont notice, genuinely. with botw/totk, i only noticed on those rare occasions like a far sky dive when the game actually stutters. so for me, i've seen very little criticism that i actually took to heart. but i think you don't need to worry about there being side quests, we've already seen in trailers there appears to be quite a lot.
from other people that talked about this game they said the frame drops are more minimal than links awakening where it would go down big and then up again. here they went down small then up again in some places
The massive map makes me hopeful that there'll be a lot of diversity in the play, puzzles, enemies, etc. I think this will be a great one to play with my youngest kid.

From what I googled it's going to be $CAD79. It's $AUD69 in Australia where I am. For reference the Canadian and Australian dollar are actually pretty similar. The GBP is about half the AUD so I would have guessed about £35. Don't know where you got the $125 from haha

I was more so shocked by the £70 price tag. £40 is in line with what I’m used to, but games for £70 sounds absolutely nuts (that’s where the direct conversation to $125 comes from). I checked with a VPN a moment ago though and something closer to £40 seems pretty typical. I’m not sure where £70 came from.

The frame judders ruined Links Awakening for me so much so that I almost wish I'd just played an emulated Gameboy version and accepted the game for what it truly was..a monochrome masterpiece of the 90's.The graphic style of Awakening and this new one is truly beautiful and obviously Awakening is still one of the best games nintendo ever made but releasing Echoes with the exact same issues (and hiding them in footage) is a disgrace.As many in the comments section have said sadly it's enough for me to make a pass on Echoes.Nintendo should take note...Dont release any Zelda or Mario game in that state ever again because those franchises are the only reason why grown ups still buy a kids machine.
I like the look of the game but I hate the trend to force users to spend half or more of their time navigating a menu. It’s brutal that these games are focusing less and less on story and progression through that story, and more on mechanics which needlessly adds to the time it takes to complete a game.

Well pretty much every Zelda game has a very long side quest at the least. The biggerons sword in OOT took me forever. 😂
