Just a little warning - if you don’t want to see any gameplay that isn’t trailer footage for Zelda you might wanna look away for that part ! Nothing huge just wanted to give you a heads up!
For finding echoes in Echoes of Wisdom, you can actually press + after the normal echo selection menu to go into the notebook, which is much easier to find echoes in
I've been really enjoying Echoes of wisdom. Shrines were kinda annoying in BOTW because some of them were quite tricky. I don't like, missing things so I'd watch videos before I tried them. Also kinda didn't want to do them sometimes because I'd end up with too many weapons. My inventory would be full but I'd need to empty a chest to complete a shrine. The rifts are probably the most similar to shrines- they're mostly much more straightforward. I've also really enjoyed the Echoes. Most puzzles have more than one solution- so you can kinda choose how you want to do something. I've not played other 2d zeldas but it's definitely shorter than BOTW, TOTK, or even Skyward Sword
I haven't noticed any frame/performance issues with Zelda, it's been great. Also a tip on choosing echoes, you can also select them from the notebook/log, where they feel more organised and are easier to view than the long list.
It _is_ bad ^ they right. 😢 sorry. There is a demo you can play that looks phenomenal, and i was actually excited to get the game too...but its sadly bait. as soon as the cutscene ends none of the models look the same way. I was dissapointed by the jarring art style difference and some glitches and broken features like missing audio effects or clipping into walls.
I'm loving the new Zelda game. I love how creative it allows me to feel, without adding too much difficulty to the game. I agree that the menu issues are a bit annoying, but I found a workaround by leaving the quick menu sorting option set to most recently used and opening up the journal when I want to choose something I haven't used in awhile. Once I learned the general layout of the journal, I was able to find what I'm looking for much quicker that way. It's not an ideal solution, but faster than endless scrolling, imo. As for Loddlenauts, it's funny, but the Loddles (little axolotl animals) were what nearly ruined the game for me. They felt half-implemented, and annoyed me more than anything else as I kept having to stop what I was doing in order to escort one somewhere else so it wouldn't dirty up the places I was cleaning. I actually went into the game looking forward to breeding/raising different loddles, but ended up wishing I could toggle them off completely (or at least make them like other creatures in the game with no environmental impact). If I could have treated the game a bit more like Powerwash Simulator (or "Fresh Start," for something even more similar), I would have loved it and even replayed it several times. As is, I completed the game once and deleted it from my Switch. I know a lot of people enjoyed it, but it just felt like a let down for me personally. Outside of those two, I've also been playing and enjoying a game called "Beyond Galaxyland." It's an RPG where you capture different creatures and can utilize them in battle as a special skill with different attacks/benefits depending on the animal. The story is interesting, and so far the battles haven't been too hard. It definitely feels cozy to me. Also, "Voxelgram" saw its first update in years with a bit of new content, and as a huge fan of picross - and especially 3D picross - that's been exciting. The controls on that game take a bit of getting used to, but like any picross game, it's a relaxing/cozy experience for me. That said, none of these can compare to the frankly absurd amount of excitement I have for tomorrow's release of the Shrek DLC for Powerwash Sim. I'm counting down the hours... let's go!
You can target the enemies in echoes of wisdom and the echoes will focus on that target! It can lag but it makes a huge difference, especially when you originally summon them
Very cute, but short game I really liked is Minami Lane, a kind of street management game… but it has a sandbox mode as well! It looks super cute, and was a lot of fun. Has some bugs with the controls first, but ok can also use the touchscreen, and then it worked as it was supposed to. Still I recommend it to everyone who likes a cozy management game!
Truly agree with Garden Witch Life. It made me feel SO SICK playing it. It's slow, rough and I'm sad I got it on switch and not steam since I'm not able to return it now. It's horrible compared to what I was expecting. Also, Bloomtown is SO ENJOYABLE! It's perfect and on-season! I was not expecting the Persona influences and the first time I heard the battle music, I got so excited! My biggest complaint is that the demon taming feels hard to pull off. It's been kind of lacking and I often eliminate them before being able to 'tame'.
Loddelnaut has been SO MUCH FUN! it so addictive! Its perfect to just pick up and relax before bed. I have enjoyed it WAY more than I thought I would. Highly recommend! ❤
@@yochum2002 yes. It's not quite as involved with the power washing as Powerwash Sim which is one of my all time favorite games. But basically 90% of all you do in loddelnauts is use this little Powerwash like gadget to suck up trash and blast away all the grime off of plants and structures. It's very much in the same vein as Powerwash Sim and scratches that same itch.
I’m in the uncommon opinion of not being greatly impressed by the new Zelda game. It was a nice little addition to the Zelda collection and I loved to finally have Zelda as the main character, but I expected more from it with a $80 CAD price tag. I played through it very quickly. The dungeons seemed considerably short and I found the map to be small. And with a limit on the sword fighting feature, most of the battles were waiting around for your echos to fight off monsters. I did appreciate that they added a teleportation feature. It’s been a while since I’ve played Link’s Awakening, but I remember the annoyance of having to walk back and forth constantly.
Yeah, for $80 I'd really hope for at least 40 for the more "handheld". Really I'd prefer closer to $1/hour... Hearing how short it is, it's a pass from me unless it ever comes down significantly in price. Sounds like it may not be super repayable either.
I didn't notice the frame drop issue at all for echoes of wisdom. I had it physically on the Hyrule lite, with it being the only game. Really think that made a difference because everyone apparently says it's the worst thing, tho less on handheld, but literally I couldn't see any issue.
I didn’t have any issues either and I have it on my original switch that has tons of games. I had originally thought maybe it was because I was playing it docked instead of handheld, but then you’re saying you played handheld and had no issues. Not sure but I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on the performance. Many said it was terrible and many said it was no issue. 🤷♀️
@@bubblegumplastic it's available for pre-order on the (official) site - Devolver Digital. It's supposed to come out in February 2025. A video would be cool but I imagine that they will only make a limited number of sets based on the pre-order numbers

If you enjoy the cartoon style, try a Link Between Worlds and WindWaker, even skyward sword! If you want something a bit more dark but still classic, try out Ocarina of Time, Majors Mask and Twilight Princess(those are my 3 absolute favourites in the series), but if you want open world, obviously Breath of the Wild and Tears of The Kingdom. Both are incredible, and I've probably put a few thousand hours on them by now. xD
I was so very excited for Epic Mickey Rebrushed, I played it and its sequel like crazy when I was a teen, and loved every second of them! But boy oh boy was a jolted by the price tag! I will be waiting for a discount, simply because whilst it at one point in time was worth that full price, it is no longer a new game! Imo nothing justifies making an old game a new game price!
Its full price on the Wii was also significantly cheaper. It just doesn't make sense? I also feel like it still kind of looks meh, it's got some aliasing issues in handheld. It's a great game but I didn't pay 60 dollars for it the first time and I'm not inclined to pay it now.
Love the Plucky Squire shoutout - such a charming, fun, BEAUTIFUL and innovative game!!! 🙌 I really appreciated the direct communication from the developers throughout the game with the art scrolls you can pick up and collect - gave it a nice personal feel
I recently picked up Crypt Custodian and really enjoyed it I put about 20 or so hours into it. Ive also been playing Cafeteria Nipponica, it's a nice low effort restaurant owning game.
Something I really appreciated about Crypt Custodian are the accessibility options. You can set the game to easy, but then make it even easier in the settings. Really allows people of all ability levels to play :)
GWL price on consoles was 100% set by publisher - it is indeed crazy. But patches will continue to come with community feedback. It is also a slow paced game to emphasize slowing down and just enjoying the simple things. The main story is really cool and it can be finished by mid autumn so not that slow. You get to heal your garden that is huge and see it turn green, with super cute animals coming to visit and they will stay if they have food and homes and leave products. Each character also has a heartwarming story. Hopefully the switch version can feel better after a few patches. I am on PC and no game breaking issues there. Also, there is one coder working on the game, one human that worked himself sick to try and make a good launch with the reduced timeline. I hope those that still have the game will come back and give it a chance. PS: Caravan Sandwitch was amazing...on PC again. The switch is just too old. Mine is gathering dust right now.
I do wonder if they could patch some of the performance issues with Caravan Sandwitch. It seemed like the kind of thing that's still fixable, if that makes sense? Not so far gone that you can't do anything about it. At least that was my experience with it. My biggest dislike about the game was not the performance but the way it ended so abruptly 😔

They're so calming too - basically, you make snazzy videos, and thank you for sharing them😊 Second: Not related to the video topic but I figure someone in the comments might know - has anyone played Roki on the Switch? Does it run okay? I've played it on the computer and I've been tempted to get it on the Switch as well, but I'd like an idea of how it runs on the Switch before I make any purchases😅
I know that fans of Zelda have been waiting for this game for a long time. I haven't played it myself yet; lately, I've been focusing more on cloud gaming, playing through Boosteroid since it offers many games from different platforms. As for Nintendo, what do you think? Do you think they will continue to develop new games?
Loddlenauts looks perfect for my nephew who loves to play Minecraft and ACNH but doesn’t know how to read well yet! I think I’ll snag that for him for Christmas 😊
Absolutely loved Echoes of Wisdom. It's so much fun. The story was great, the characters/dialogue were funny and touching, the gameplay was challenging without being stressful, the art style was *chefs kiss*, so much detail and content, and I just loved every second of it. Cried my eyes out at the end too. Really hope we get to see Tri and his boys again at some point, maybe in a full game playing as both Link and Zelda....never know you're luck, right? 😂
Yeah this exactly. I'd use the menu she's showing here if I was just switching between 2/3 echoes that I'd recently used, but otherwise I only used the big menu. Especially as the big menu groups echoes together by type.
I had been waiting to hear your review of Garden Witch Life! I bought it, was so excited, and less than 36 hrs later requested a refund from Nintendo. Thankfully they did oblige, but I think that is likely not the norm.
I’ve been so excited for the legend of Zelda echoes of wisdom. I’m so glad I got it! Been playing it non stop after work. Then while working thinking about all the different echos I could use! Definitely addicting. Love how it’s not all direct combat for sure!
Ummm… did everyone else already know about the PhD? 👀 I’m glad you addressed the school related side quests! I was so excited for Hogwarts and then it came out just as I was on placement for my postgrad… in education 😅 So not the escape I was looking for 🙈
The patch for Garden Witch Life was so disappointing, as were all the environs attached to it. It feels akin to the realms in Disney Dreamlight. A couple of scarce resources to collect and then you never go back. I also ran into the same problem as you. I didn’t want to nap when I was trying to sprint. 😂
@@Eeowna YES. I play it every day, even if it's just to redeem my amiibo for smoothie ingredients!!!! I am still discovering new little caves and places all over the map!!
I like palia lately. It runs pretty great on the switch, it's FREE, open beta, and it's cute. But I definitely am going to try some of these titles out. Maybe not for 100 bucks though 😅
Garden Witch Life had potential but was messy, and laggy. I personally loved LoZ:EoW but that being said I had zero expectation so I thought it was really fun. And same, favorite part was playing Zelda ☺️. Thanks for posting, I was thinking about getting Bloomtown sort of have Earthbound vibes.
Does Bloomtown have any time limits for certain things? I've heard that in persona you need to do certain things by certain days to get specific results, which is part of the reason I haven't played it. It sounds pretty stressful to me and I don't wanna have to look things up. So does bloomtown have anything like that or can you just wait with the dungeons as long as you want to? I mean you said it's chill in the overworld but I do like to prepare myself for dungeons as well and take my time with that.
While lowered graphics on Switch aren't a big deal to me, the insane price hike for Garden Witch Life on Switch compared to Steam is a massive turn off. I'm really honestly angry about it. I understand there being a difference because of porting costs but, this is the highest jump I've seen in a long time - especially with the graphics differences, etc. - since that lemon pie one I can't remember the name of right now. I might just grab it on Deck in the end but, definitely won't get it on Switch without a massive discount. Hopefully the devs make some major adjustments soon. Also sad to see Caravan on the lesser list. Again, graphics really don't matter to me, and no combat or de@th is a massive bonus for me. So long as it doesn't hit my motion sickness or cause game breaking issues, though, I'll probably still grab it on Switch. As much as I love my Deck, and will never regret getting it, my messed up wrists just handles longer Switch sessions easier heh Loddlenauts looks super cute!! Might have to check it out!
I have that same Plankton and Snorlax in my living room awe! 💛💚 Love it! And loved this video. I trust your opinion the most and get so excited when a new video pops up! Bloomtown is for sure my next buy, as well as Carvan Sandwitch! 😃
A bit of a tangent but can we stop calling them 2D Zelda? The isometric/tradition Zelda games have been in 3D for quite some time now and I feel a lot have used the term “2D Zelda” to downplay just how great some of the games in this style are. Regardless, really enjoying Echoes of Wisdom and it’s fun watching others gameplay to see how they solve puzzles! Garden Witch Life is definitely a game…that exists…that you can purchase. I recall seeing it on the “coming soon” page a while ago and the screenshots it provided did not do it any favors, So glad I trusted my gut and decided to wait for reviews for it I’m currently on the Persona grind (about halfway through Persona 4 Golden) and Bloomtown looks right up my alley. Will probably wait to get it, I tend to like these games with some sort of guide, but does look pretty fun! Also I’ve heard that the mistranslation is maybe intentional as a callback to older games with weird translations, though not entirely sure how accurate that info is Caravan Sand Witch just doesn’t look like the type of game for me. If it gets a good sale I _might_ pick it up but already got a lot of games in my backlog I want to tackle The Plucky Squire!!! Yea!!!! Let’s go!!! James Turner’s art is absolutely peak! I’ve been looking forward to this game for a while, so much so I’m willing to wait a bit more so this I can pick up a physically version My sister has been playing my copy of Epic Mikey as I play thru Zelda and she’s having a blast. Though I am curious if it’s noticeable what was changed since it was originally on Wii, guess I’ll have to wait and see. I kept seeing Loddlenaut’s being advertised at GameStop a lot for some reason. Regardless looks very cute and gives strong Slime Ranger vibes
@Eeowna How was the performance of Mickey rebrushed? You didn't say (or I didn't notice) and I'm wondering. Maybe I will buy it, when it's on sale. And I will ponder about buying all the other games expect Caravan SandWitch (did not ponder before) and Garden Witch Life (did ponder before, but sensed that the performance will be bad). Maybe Loddlenauts is next. I need some cleaning action 😊 Right now I'm playing a lot on my beloved new 3DS XL. Manely Disney Magical World 1 (almost got every sticker) and Animal Crossing New Leave.
echo s of wisdom is super good no regrets buying it even though the price is the thoughest part for this game .good starter game with a bit of challange here and there without major struggles and so cute and fun i love the puzzles .i use the + button for echo s that works for me .i call it legend of impa sometimes
You talk a lot about frame rate drops but honestly I guess I am not tech savvy enough to know what that means. They look fine to me. And frankly I have a very hard time trying to play games on my laptop. Keyboard controls are not for me and I don’t have a compatible controller. But I do enjoy your reviews. The Plucky Squire looks interesting but I will wait until it goes on sale.
I too cannot believe the price of Mickey Rebrushed. It's way too high. And there's a 5 dollar DLC with like 3 costumes for Mickey and nothing else. For 60 USD just include them? My husband bought it for me as I was about to go on a trip and it was a sweet gesture but I would not have purchased it myself at that price, it's absolutely nonsense. Great game but...what.
Thank you for another great game review. I yave been playing Zelda Echos of Wisdom and I'm truly enjoying it. I love that I can actually play as Zelda and that fact the we get to save Link!...So fun. I didn't see a cat outfit yet, but maybe I have not gotten that far, but I totally want that! I always want to talk to all the cats in the game!

I had a hard time beating the "boss" battles in plucky squire but you can actually skip them
I will be getting Zelda for sure … but bloomtown interests me too …
i was so sad hearing about garden witch life i was so looking forward to it 😞
i literally only ever go through the big menu and dont scroll for echoes since i found it annoying when there weren't even ten echoes that i had LOL
Definitely not the norm, they've refused me in the past (I realised I'd purchased the wrong version of Overcooked within twenty minutes of purchase).
That likely means there has been a lot of refunds for it so they’ve made the process easier.
Immediately went and picked bloomtown and loddlenaut up, thanks for the lovely recommendations💕😻
I've been digging Witchspring R. Fun little Atellier type game
I’ve been so excited for the legend of Zelda echoes of wisdom. I’m so glad I got it! Been playing it non stop after work. Then while working thinking about all the different echos I could use! Definitely addicting. Love how it’s not all direct combat for sure!
If any one wants a game similar to loddlenaut but free is island saver! It honestly surprised me how much i liked it
Ummm… did everyone else already know about the PhD? 👀 I’m glad you addressed the school related side quests! I was so excited for Hogwarts and then it came out just as I was on placement for my postgrad… in education 😅 So not the escape I was looking for 🙈
Thanks for sharing your list! I love listening to you talk as well, you have a cozy voice along with the games ☺️
I’ve been addicted to Bloomtown, perfect JRPG for me! heard others find it a bit repetitive but that’s any dungeon crawler!
I’m still halfway through Monster Hunter Stories, hope to complete its story before moving on to Metaphor.
Love the recs thank you! But I really need to know what lip products you’re using! Your makeup is amazing!!
Bloom town looks right up my alley. Besides the modern elements it also gives me earthbound vibes.
I've been playing Infinity Nikki's beta and loving it! It's the perfect cozy game 🥰
I should be streaming it later this week I’m so excited
Echoes of Wisdom is my favorite! I'm obsessed!! ❤
It’s been a while since I’ve been this hooked
@@Eeowna YES. I play it every day, even if it's just to redeem my amiibo for smoothie ingredients!!!! I am still discovering new little caves and places all over the map!!
I like palia lately. It runs pretty great on the switch, it's FREE, open beta, and it's cute. But I definitely am going to try some of these titles out. Maybe not for 100 bucks though 😅
Bloomtown It sounds like the show Stranger Things
Great video!! Love the sparkle on the eyes and I’m also so excited to try the new Zelda game 🤩
When I heard Epic Mickey was being released for the Switch, I assumed it would be $30 at most. Sorry, I'll wait for a sale.
I love tux and fanny!!! such a cute lil game and so quirky!
Hey. I would like to recommend Bloodless. Its gorgeous. Out now 10/10
Very much agree with Garden Witch Life, I was so disappointed with it.
Bloomtown is an excellent game, I'm really enjoying playing this.
You totally sold me Boomtown. I was: "Stop, I'm sold already 😂", sounds like a lot of fun.
Really liking the new Zelda game so far! I have not yet finished it, but I hope the game delivers also the final hours.
A shame about Garden Witch Life. I already picked it up, so I guess I will have to hope the shadows don't give me motion sickness (I am prone to it).
Bloomtown looks so good! Definitely going to get that one
Caravan Sandwitch is an incredible game, but I definitely recommend a good pc for it!
As much as I love my Deck, and will never regret getting it, my messed up wrists just handles longer Switch sessions easier heh
Loddlenauts looks super cute!! Might have to check it out!
Ngl garden witch life looks baaaaad it’s cute but that’s about it
Great video great rhythm great energy.. And cozy
I have that same Plankton and Snorlax in my living room awe! 💛💚 Love it! And loved this video. I trust your opinion the most and get so excited when a new video pops up! Bloomtown is for sure my next buy, as well as Carvan Sandwitch! 😃
I loved Echoes if Wisdom. Highly recommend. ❤
I uninstalled Garden Witch Life pretty fast, it felt rushed and wrong
hey Iona, I was wondering if you updated your switch to 19.0.0. If so, how is it holding up?
Epic Mickey was one of my favorite Wii games!
I recall seeing it on the “coming soon” page a while ago and the screenshots it provided did not do it any favors, So glad I trusted my gut and decided to wait for reviews for it
I’m currently on the Persona grind (about halfway through Persona 4 Golden) and Bloomtown looks right up my alley. Will probably wait to get it, I tend to like these games with some sort of guide, but does look pretty fun! Also I’ve heard that the mistranslation is maybe intentional as a callback to older games with weird translations, though not entirely sure how accurate that info is
Caravan Sand Witch just doesn’t look like the type of game for me. If it gets a good sale I _might_ pick it up but already got a lot of games in my backlog I want to tackle
The Plucky Squire!!! Yea!!!! Let’s go!!! James Turner’s art is absolutely peak! I’ve been looking forward to this game for a while, so much so I’m willing to wait a bit more so this I can pick up a physically version
My sister has been playing my copy of Epic Mikey as I play thru Zelda and she’s having a blast. Though I am curious if it’s noticeable what was changed since it was originally on Wii, guess I’ll have to wait and see.
I kept seeing Loddlenaut’s being advertised at GameStop a lot for some reason. Regardless looks very cute and gives strong Slime Ranger vibes
total jamaica i agree potatoe
omg yay! i was literally just looking for a video like this on your channel as i wasn't sure which game to pick up next!!
Thanks for the heads up :)
I need some cleaning action 😊
Right now I'm playing a lot on my beloved new 3DS XL. Manely Disney Magical World 1 (almost got every sticker) and Animal Crossing New Leave.
I need a new, fun, somewhat cozy, crafting, open world game something like astroneer or stardew valley
Have you played Moonstone Island yet? Definitely like if Stardew was a critter collector with a much bigger map!
side note… which eyeshadow are you wearing? it’s so pretty!
You got a PhD and still ended up a video game influencer 💖 I think that's pretty cool of you!
Just curious, what is your degree in?
Chemistry!
Loved Caravan Sandwitch!
Oh I’m so glad I didn’t buy caravan sandwich yet
@@braxlucky5718 me too, I think I’ll get it on PlayStation
Same here, I didn’t know its performance wasn’t good on Switch.
Another great video to help me decide if I need this game or not
I just bought the nintendo switch oled hahah I hope they dont stop releasing for it any time soon
echo s of wisdom is super good no regrets buying it even though the price is the thoughest part for this game .good starter game with a bit of challange here and there without major struggles and so cute and fun i love the puzzles .i use the + button for echo s that works for me .i call it legend of impa sometimes
I played an hour of The Plucky Squire, stopped, haven’t picked it up again since then. I’ve lost interest in its simple gameplay 😅
If you target things in echoes of wisdom, your echos will go after what you target.
It doesn’t bother me much either but I know it can for some people which is why I mention it 😊
Is Bloomtown a fully released game?
I too cannot believe the price of Mickey Rebrushed. It's way too high. And there's a 5 dollar DLC with like 3 costumes for Mickey and nothing else. For 60 USD just include them? My husband bought it for me as I was about to go on a trip and it was a sweet gesture but I would not have purchased it myself at that price, it's absolutely nonsense. Great game but...what.
Thanks you sold me on the new Zelda game
Thank you for another great game review. I yave been playing Zelda Echos of Wisdom and I'm truly enjoying it. I love that I can actually play as Zelda and that fact the we get to save Link!...So fun. I didn't see a cat outfit yet, but maybe I have not gotten that far, but I totally want that! I always want to talk to all the cats in the game!
It’s a random side quest!
I absolutely love love love your videos please keep them coming
I m playing epic mickey rn,and at 1rst i was like "meh...", but a little more into it i m hooked! It s a very good game.👍 altho if i had pay that much i wld be a bit green about it.🥴😑
Thanks
My Opinion…Europa Is Fantastic…NOTHING LIKE ZELDA..Im a Happier Person..No Fighting
I LOVED caravan sandwich but I played in on my PlayStation so the graphics were beautiful there
I love it just not on the switch 😭
Only 20 hours, maybe there will be a dlc???
dayum, I need your skin care routine and make up routine please :0
I'm loving EOW and so is my 7 year old daughter
Bloomtown set in 1960s? Only black person shown is behind a counter with no face. I'll pass
Lol you do summer in persona too
Just wondering what you have a PhD in??
Chemistry :)
