Great new terminal. At 8:47, interesting to see that BLR T2 also uses the AVIA Vox announcements just like Delhi and Mumbai. That is my favorite airport announcement sound.

Very nice terminal to look at from far. We have used this airport 6 times now and still think that with a little bit of common sense they could have made it more functional. The arrival lounge exiting towards car park is far too conjested and the number of lifts that take you to the car park is less than inadequate. Instead of manual payments for parking they could have automated it to prevent large queues. The authorities can learn from how Dubai manages its airports.
Thank you for the feedback. I hope someone from Bangalore airport sees it. These are constructive comments and can only be noticed after multiple visits, and they should be fixable if addressed.

I was at the airport and it was raining that day , the airport was flooded and water logged completely inside the airport ! Substandard quality

People don't have control over ,rain, storm or any other natural disaster. Airports in USA and other countries also get flooded.

OMG this is almost similar to Incheon T2 😮😮. Well now in my opinion ICN T2, Jewel Changi and now KIA T2 are the most beautifully designed airports I have seen. Sure there are many beautiful airports out there but still these 3 give you a mix of both modern and culturally diverse vibes 😊. I hope India focuses more on infrastructure development like this which will eventually develop the country economically and also gather positive global attention

I still remember the times when we were kindly invited to board planes and were not being crammed together like cattle/would-be-criminals by "security".
With all the AI and technical possibilities, it should be easy to check if a person is normal or has something evil on its mind - I would love to fly from a human airport somewhere again in the near future.
I recently saw full body scanners in Bangalore airport also facial recognition gates are being rolled out to more airports. Maybe these might improve the situation a bit

MOSO® used laminated bamboo tubes to ensure consistent shape, quality, and durability.
Raw bamboo stems were unsuitable due to their variability and susceptibility to cracking. The laminated tubes were developed through extensive research. This process ensured the bamboo met fire and durability standards, providing a sustainable and high-quality solution for the terminal's design.
i believe Changi Airport Singapore is the most beautiful airport in the world, though i love bangalore airport

Hello, on Air India flights Above 120 minutes get hot meals with choice of non-vegetarian and vegetarian meals. Flights from 60-120 mins get veg sandwich with tetra pack drink.

We have seen most beautiful airports like Changi in Singapore., O Haire in Chicago..but never in BLR.. schedule a flight to BLR from Miami.. Heathrow.. BLR by virgin Atlantic to kochi… hope we can enjoy the sight

I agree, Bangalore airport is very beautiful. However, I think it is not so much of importance for an airport. An airport should be spacious, aesthetic, well laid out, and easy to maintain. It is not a museum or a place for recreation. It has to be good looking but not over the top. The amount that was spent in over-beautification could have been utilised for more useful purposes.

Yes, you are right. The ceiling is made of layers of cross-laid engineered bamboo. Other materials used include, ivory brown granite, umber red bricks, and traditionally woven rattan.

It is not good enough to esthetically great. More importance should be given to functionality and practicality. Not just look pretty. If it gets flooded during Monsoon, what are passengers are supposed to do?, sit up on the chairs, or swim to the gates?. Hope they try to fix this problem.
The operation of Air Ports starts with a Big Bang, hoopla etc. and within a short period of time the services, upkeep goes down the toilet.
It is not an easy task to maintain 24/7 such huge place. Always the personnel assigned to stock up the rest rooms must be on their toes to do their job. It so frustrating when toiletries are not available.

Yes its a nice airport, but I guess UNESCO representatives have never been to Singapore Changi.......I am not sure there is even a comparison. India has made great progress under a Great PM the last 10 years, but the politics between states and the North / South crap has ensured that development is uneven at best.....
the rotting of Chennai airport and City, while privatizing every other airport in India is a stark example. India will never achieve anything worthwhile unless Thugs, corruption (Tamilnadu DMK gangster CM, Bihar goons), cleanliness improvement and trash management / waste disposal, environmental consciousness, recycling, road construction, treatment of disadvantaged, under privileged, the desperately poor, and general concern for human welfare improves.

I went to the toilet for handicapped/ wheelchair assistance users and there was no toilet paper roll in the holder; tissue for wipe after washing hand and no liquid soap in the dispenser! Who checks these things? In such a hyped up setup? 😡
