Never in my life have I ever seen a knife be hammered through a chunk of metal as a test, that was awesome.
Anyone wondering what the white powder is ? When forging metal, a common practice is to sprinkle a material called flux onto the metal. Flux helps to prevent oxidation and improve the flow of the metal during the forging process. It also helps to remove impurities and oxides from the surface of the metal, resulting in a cleaner and higher quality final product.

Yeaaa. Thought cool another cheezy dam…*THAT MF JSUT SLICE STEEL*
Damascus isn't particularly special in terms of sharpness, toughness or edge retension. Whether a damascus blade is quality or not is largely based on the base steels mixed together, and it can sometimes be disadvantageous to mix steels to make damascus. However, it looks sick as fuck, which is why it is often used to laminate blades instead of being the core steel.
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Haven’t you heard?
