The Surge - FIREBUG BOSS FIGHT - how to defeat - level 2

- Firebug is the second boss you'll meet in the surge found in the second area. This boss has 3 different combat variations or stages. Stage one: chop off three legs this should be fairly simple. Stage 2: wait for his helicopter like attack and then go in to finish the other three legs off. Stage 3: Wait for him to create a ring of fire after the attack dash into the ring and under the boss strike twice and then retreat dashing out repeat this process till he is dead good luck and god speed

Regardless of how hard or lame this boss is, visually this was one of the best animated and cool bosses. Reminded me of crazy bosses in old NES shoot em up games.

This boss has almost no openings, it's like a frustrating challenge.

If You are here wondering How he got 6 Medikits (Actually if You have enoght lvl you can equip 9):
There is a Vital Injection on the First Area (You can go Back and try to find it)
There is another in THIS Area, You can grab it before the Boss
The surge:Introduces bosses
That one employee: "Yo what if it was hard?"
The little eagle under your energy bar is what determines if you hit 20s or ones with the drone
This game has the same problem as Loders of the Fallen. The combat system is sluggish and clunky as hell
ZenCavalera7 yeah, and the bosses are extremely fluid, more than in souls.
Depends on the builds, Lynx are fast and agile, no way I eve felt sluggish, also I use twin weapons and DPS are so high. Now if you use Goliath builds, sure you're tank is hell slow, but other than that it is alright. Now the bosses and mini bosses varies the mechanics are basic. Souls games are a lot smother.
The only issue a had with this game its related to the gravity and physics...they only aply to you character.
I don't really know in which situation you referring to but I have seen enemies dying by falling.
Yeah idk man, a guy that jumps off his stationary gun in this specific level turns around and jump swats me...and falls all the way down to the bottom of the level lol

I've been stuck on this boss for 5 days now so I'm Deleting it it's only the boss for level 2 it shouldn't be that difficult to destroy It literally took me 6 hours just to fight the 1st boss
it gets easier man dont give up or try the surge 2 lol

The bosses in this game are mostly dogs hit but this one is definitely… bearable.
The firebug charge is a pain in the arse.
how do you get more than 3 consumables? did I miss something?
I know this is late but, in the second phase I wouldn't go for the legs, just go for the thing thats under him

How did u use the drone without energy? (he asked years later)
Robin Melmer late response but that drone can be used without energy, but it does pitiful damage, more useful for drawing out enemies from packs so you don’t get ganked :)
How do you summon drone with no energy?
To do better damage with the drone, you might want to consider using Sustaining Array mod ( (Energy decay reduction implant) V.1 is the only early one available), as drones are more effective if you have enough energy built up through your melee attacks. I also found a Drone Power Circuit v.3 pretty early on as well, which is nice. Anyways, if you just use the drone as is without the proper energy output, the drone will only deal 1 damage per shot, so 2 per casting.

Yourdads101 End ( you have to hit right on the d’pad to switch, also you can activate more through the Medbay) hope this helps

I dont know which boss was the easiest. But this was one of them. Pax 2.0 just smack the middle.
