Had a question about the gray wire with the green stripe. Did the stripe run the length of the wire or was it multiple green stripes around the wire? Trying to problem solve my install. Thanks for the video. Very helpful
If I remember correctly it is gray with a green stripe through it. You can also pop out the license plate light and check the wires there should be a darker color wire and a gray wire with a green stripe through it. That is why you’re gonna wanna find under the driver side rocker panel beside the carpet you’ll have to pop that off and look into the main harness that runs up through the wire will be located in there. You can also tap in to the license plate light but you’ll have to run a wire from the rear the whole way to the front. So it’s just easier to tap into the main harness up by the driver side.
@@antonioweir so the power wire will connect directly to the battery, then you’re gonna ground out that as well. For your power or your trip wire, you were going to go to the fuse panel that I went to. Or you can go into the harness that I point out and you will tap into a gray wire with a greenstripe through it
@@antonioweir that’s a good question because I’m not sure. I used a test light to figure out which one came on with the marker lights. I look and see if I can find out which one it was
I have a 2021 mk7 vw jetta SE with no fog lights and I was wondering if this is the R-line version that comes with fog lights already attached. I’m just wondering if I can add any to mine
Yeah my Jetta was an S model I just bought the fog light kit and added them in to the bumper. You should have inserts in the bumper that will just pop out.
@@FF54Victhank you for making this video I put the fog lights into my bumper and for the longest time I couldn’t figure out what wire to tap into this was like the only thing on the internet that explained it
quick question, i just bought a kit and installed it into my car with the euro switch but they didnt turn on :( I think i grounded the wires wrong but the euro switch itself is probably the issue. do you happen to know what fuse/fuse location i could tap into to get them to turn on like yours do? id rather not splice into anything since im not too experienced when it comes to electrical stuff so any insight would be appreciated.
@@FF54Vic thank you, that sounds like it should work. I have a fuse diagram i found online thats pretty in depth however it doesnt list either of those fuse locations. Do you happen to know where either of those would be?
Hello, can you help me? i have a footwell kit installed that i connected to my fuse box but i want it to be turned on just on night like with the auto switch that just turn the headlights when it is night time, where did you exactly connected your red foot lights?
You can connect it to your low beam fuse. This should have them come on with your head lights and the should switch off when you engage your high beams. If you check the owners manual under fuses it should list where the low beam fuse is.
I’m honestly trying to remember if I went into a pin For the fog lights or if I just tapped into the low beam fuse. Give me a couple days to check in with us or try and remember at might’ve written it down somewhere. I will get back to you on it
I just watch the video again I actually ended up going into one of the factory wires that automatically would click them on when my parking lights would come on. That wire will be in the main harness on the driver side kick panel. It is a gray wire with a light green stripe in it if you splice into that wire they will automatically come on and off with the auto function with your lights.

Correct me if I’m wrong? You have to tap into that main harness wire and the fuse panel? Or just the main harness wire?
I just tapped into the fuse in the fuse box or fuse panel that would come on with the parking lights
What I mean is do you have to tap into the main harness and the fuse box or just pick one or the other?

Thanks, lastly.. Which # fuse is it that you tapped into? I don’t think vw labeled it on the cover and I’m not with my car right now.

Which is the low beam fuse
Are you sure that is the correct Ebay number? Says it's not available.
I just copied and pasted it , that seller may no longer have them. If you search 2019 Jetta fog lights the should come up.
Hey Bud you remember what size those bulbs are for the led Fogs I'd really like to find out what size the high beams are so I can add rgb lights
The bulbs size for the fog lights is H11
But what did you show us
