    March 1-2 dividends are double counted on February "29-30"

    This is amazing! I tried to ad the ticker from which company i got my dividens from as well, but google sheets says that would be more than 3 arguments for the sumif function. Do u know a way around this? Thank u so much for this video. And a happy new dividend year :) Greetings from Norway.

      Instead of using sumif, use sumifs. This allow multiple arguments.

      @@Dividendology I tried that now. My formula lookes like this: =SUMIFS(Data!$E:$E,date($C$6,$B7,D$6),Data!$D:$D,Data!$C:$C), and google sheets now says: SUMIFS expect all arguments after position 3 to be in pairs. I tried to move the C colon before date argument as well. If i do that, it only returns 0.

      @@Dividendology I have just added conditional formatting to grey out the illegal dates, with the following custom formula:🙃
      "=IF(NOT(ISERROR(DATEVALUE(D$6 & "/" & $B7 & "/" & $C$6))),FALSE(),TRUE())"

    • @Dividendology
      @Dividendology  ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome!

      My cell references are different, but I blocked the incorrect dates with:
      "=if(ISERROR(datevalue($B7 & "/" & D$6 & "/" & $C$6))," ",sumif('Raw data'!$D:$D,DATE($C$6,$B7,D$6),'Raw data'!$C:$C))"
      'Raw data' is 'sheet2' in the video. This will leave a blank cell if there is no date for that year. It will have 29 Feb on leap years, but not on the others.

    This is very interesting! I do have 1 question. Is it possible to add a total to each month and then have it add a overall total of all dividends received automatically? I think thatd be cool to add to this setup

      Yes! Thats a very easy adjustment. I actually do have that feature on my dividend calendar.

    Hi, just wondering, where can I get the ex-dates data, or where did you get it from in such a nice format?

    Hello, thanks for the video. in minute 5:33 for "O" show a dividend on 2/15/2022 of $5.85 but "O" pays monthly dividends, it should be 0.2465 instead, isn't it? Best

    What if it will change the pay date?
    And how do you know all pay date for a company?
    For example (2023) if a company pay quartely, how do you know each date?

      Just plug in the dividend payouts as they are paid out.

    Newbie here, if you own a mutual fund that does a capital gain distribution, would you include that in a dividend tracker such as this?

    I'm a noob with Excel /sheets.Way over my head, but I was wondering.. is there a way to use maybe APIs to have it automatically insert values daily vs. Manually which are pulled from various sources or probably not easy ?
