- Adjusting the gap for the magneto is a very easy job and doesn't require skilled expertise. As long as you have a standard thickness business card and a few tools, this can be easily accomplished.

.010 to .014" distance tween the flywheel and the magneto is abt standard. bizness cards come in different thicknesses. toooo close and if magnet hits the coil it will wipe out the coil and the coil mount and ruin the motor. end of motor. get the little screws pretty tight. not too tight they are 1/4" head screws. a drop of oil on the threads wont hurt if u want to get them out later without twisting any screw/bolt off in the hole.
