  • A mystery airline we'd never heard of?! Not what we planned when we booked our travel home from Guernsey, but it all turned out fine in the end! We had such a good time in the Channel Islands, fell in love with Guernsey, and can't wait to come back and explore again in the future! This is only a short flight, so there wasn't much to review, but it shows the best way of getting back to the UK after your holidays. Maybe you'll actually get an Aurigny Airlines aircraft like you're meant to, and not a charter!
Guernsey airport is pretty small, but has everything you need, and flights are regular enough. Overall a good experience, and much better than the time we had at Birmingham!

First aircraft I ever flew in was an Islander (G-AXWP) with Aurigny from Southampton Eastleigh to Guernsey - 1972!!

Woah! Slightly jealous as the Islander is on our flying bucket list!

@@ExploreTheWeekendUK I didn’t mean to make you jealous. You’d better not read on then! A couple of years ago I flew from Queenstown in New Zealand’s South Island to Milford Sound - also in an Islander! It was just as good then as it was fifty years ago.

The airline is called jump air. If u check blue sky live site there is an extremely late landing of one of these jump air atrs at leeds/bradford airport earlier this year, those filming thought he was going to overshoot the runway! Unbelievably he landed in the touchdown zone for when landing the other direction!!!

Love watching these ATRs land over the sea in Lanzarote!

Lanzarote is BRILLIANT for watching all the little inter-island flights! Lucky enough to go last year on a field trip and spent more time looking at the planes than doing research!!!!

Ah! We did wonder because we heard so many variations of it at the airport! Thanks for clarifying!
