    Unfortunately my internet provider doesn't let us change anything in the router settings. T-Mobile so I would have to do it on each device individually

    DNS is no hack lol.... maybe if your latency is high or if your ISP is blocking websites you can change it. TCP Optimizer is the way to go for Windows. For Linux, the default TCP kernel settings are already optimized. BSDs and macOS I'm not sure but I think they're good too out of the box.

    Most people don't need a super fast DNS. If this were 1997 where people still use dial up modems ok but in 2024 it makes no sense. The place where you need more speed is for streaming and gaming . Also your cookie settings take part in how fast you get to a website.

    Well all it did for me was increase latency. So no, it won’t work.

      Weird. Were you using your default ISP DNS servers before?

      If that's the case you should use your ISP DNS. But you should also check some other DNS servers. For example AdGuard, Quad9...
