Leave it and just have someone stencil your logo and than find an old timer to show you how to double clutch that old girl. Everything today has sycronized gears these old trucks are low geared so low rpms are needed. Love the truck. I learned to drive on one of those back in 1976. I was 13 and hauling sugar beets.
Taylor, if you’re looking to change the colour I’d strongly consider a vinyl colour wrap. No standblasting required and if you one day decide you hate it, just peel it off. Make sure you find yourself a 3M certified print and install graphics shop. If anything goes wrong, workmanship and product can fall under warranty. Looking forward to seeing the final product 👌
I think KEN WHITE CONSTRUCTION TOPSOIL would make the truck stand out even more. Absolutely love the truck. You have the best construction channel on TH-cam, can’t believe it isn’t that popular. OLD SCHOOL!!!
Lol old school, and remember that old equipment and, vehicles have little quirks about them, take time to learn them and feel them out, much love and cant wait till the next one
You do want some stones in your soil, what happens when you pick a rock up in the yard? It's always wet/moist underneath of it, they help retain moister in the soil witch then promotes better grass growth.
Hell yeah! I'm definitely going to follow this! I just picked up a 1950 F6 Dump Truck with the inline 6 226cu.in. Same thing, going to brand it with the company logo since we do historic architecture preservation and General Contracting in Seattle. Can't wait to see what you do, I'm debating on putting in a Powerstroke and Restomod'ing but it's an all original farmtruck so it'll be hard to change her up.....
That body looks nice the way it is. I'd do a 12v conversion and just run it. At least you'll never have to take it to a shop for a 100.00 per hour just to have them put it on the scanner to do a software update to get it out of limp mode and only to have it towed back a week later because of a TCM failure and the list goes on and on. BACK TO THE BASICS.
I would gut the Engine bay and lay a monster motor in it. Use it as a daily driver, turn it into a show piece. Using it as a work truck it won't last but a few years. You will get your money out of it using it as an AD Piece. Everyone will notice it. Solid buy. Also as mentioned putting a wrap on it is a good idea. You can change it up every 4 or 5 years. Freshen it up. Some stain on the wood would make it pop more.
Run the trommel with a 1inch screen as a primary to break the clumps and mix the soils than send the outfeed conveyor in the powerscreen as a secondary to finish it off . You can't get any fast production sending big chunks of clay and rocks in a 1/2 and 1/4 inch screen .
I’d re stain the box then add the same wood on the side rails and stain those the same colour. After you repaint it Black it will really add some class to the truck with the stained rails
Old school. Satin black cab and wheels and put some chrome spike lug nut covers on. Polish up the chrome it already has. And like u said painted on kwc logos on the door
OLD SCHOOL! My first truck was old school, 64 ford f600, i built it from 2 trucks that my grand dad gave me that were in the pasture, the catch? I was 13 years old and I had to do all the work myself, he pay for me a helper, who was only 15 himself..... Story condensed, we got the truck rebuilt, granddad gave his seal of approval that it was safe, and I had my first dump truck when I was 13, it would be 2 more years before I could get a hardship commercial license to drive legal........ but I hauled lots of dirt with that truck!!!!
Hi bro. That Ford is good, the cab, the frame and the engine, but You need to do a repair in the electric system and replacing the wood bucket with a steel one. But the rest of the truck is okay :). Greetings from South America. God bless You, your family and your job.
i would keep the bed and go with ur idea with the black and old school writing. that would be good as a advertisement show piece go to truck shows, cars shows, or even local parades and estuff like that whenever u guys have extra time on ur hands to do them.
Old School! You should take a picture of the cat 950 loading the Ford I think that would look neat. And I think you should do what you were saying but with a old rotary light on top.
Dig the “new” old truck. And I get the “huh... ....I like that” mentality. Must act on those. Life is too short to live with regret. Keep doing what you do bro.
Cool truck Taylor! Like you mentioned, I would paint black, put your logos on it (old style) and park it front of your yard entrance. This way all drive by’s can see that eye catching machine...a little extra Adveristing can’t hurt!?
Ken I love that old Ford. I’d paint it flat black like they had back then with the Old School trucks. See how I worked it in??? Then do Old School lettering. It would be excellent advertisement. You can show up on jobs, parades etc. I agree. The harp strings give a much better top soil. There was a lot of junk coming off that Commander.
Great video my man love the truck I would love to see it all black and a 50s look with the Jen white construction name on it that would be great! Have a great weekend!
I would suggest keeping that color, and don't change the appearance of the truck, just fix up some of the body issues and put your logo on the doors. A black truck blends in with everything else and will not bring as much attention, and If you are trying to promote you business, obviously you want the attention. The way it looks right now it stands out like a sore thumb, (in a good way). This particular truck is pretty good shape and has been kept relatively original, so no point changing it.
Hey try a drum screen it breaks up the little pellets of dirt due to the fall inside the drum. Call groundworx they run doppstadt drumscreens in Canada and take a sample.
I don’t know what trans that has it it but if first is a granny gear you will have a lot better luck unloaded starting it in second gear. A lot less grinding that way. Loaded you will probably have to start in first though. Sweet truck though
Old school...black with kwc logo your grampa had when the company started * its begging for a 429 big block but would settle fora 460 if you're gonna work it a bit. Cheers!
Honestly I would keep it how it is it looks much better you just got to love old school stuff
Leave it and just have someone stencil your logo and than find an old timer to show you how to double clutch that old girl. That’s a good idea. I never thought that route but make sense. Thanks Aidan
The 6V positive ground to a 12V negative ground is the best conversion to do on it to be functional.
I’m digging the black w/ oldschool logos, would look awesome parked out front of the yard
I think KEN WHITE CONSTRUCTION TOPSOIL would make the truck stand out even more. Absolutely love the truck. You have the best construction channel on TH-cam, can’t believe it isn’t that popular. OLD SCHOOL!!!
Thank you man! Time will come!
Lol old school, and remember that old equipment and, vehicles have little quirks about them, take time to learn them and feel them out, much love and cant wait till the next one

Old school love that beauty.
Leave it with the natural patina and do an old style logo.
I’d re stain the box then add the same wood on the side rails and stain those the same colour. After you repaint it Black it will really add some class to the truck with the stained rails

Old school trumps new school all day! Especially if it's a Ford....🤙🤙🤙
I’d go with the old school look, that’s the whole point of an old truck isn’t it lol
Is it a 7.3 diesel
Keep it the same collor with that nice old kwc emblem
I don’t know what trans that has it it but if first is a granny gear you will have a lot better luck unloaded starting it in second gear. A lot less grinding that way. Loaded you will probably have to start in first though. Sweet truck though
Old school...black with kwc logo your grampa had when the company started * its begging for a 429 big block but would settle fora 460 if you're gonna work it a bit. Cheers!
Old school!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I would paint it black, but get the white grill in the front chrome plated or keep it white. I assume that it’s been restored before?
It could be a gravity fed down, which would mean it will go down on its own without the pump.
Paint it black with old school logo and paint the rims RED
Be cool to have a video of the history of the company and how it started.
There is my man! I explain it all. How my grandpa started this in 1968
Glad you bought the 0ld school truck its mint and I'm near the coast it's cooler be safe

Yup agreed. Just need a shop haha

@ 07:22 you need to double-clutch on your up-shifts...
A wee drop down visor would look sick on her also, or a cowl
