    Interesting how much DCF price changes when you do a 5 year projection vs 10 year projection.

    Great vid, but you should mention share buybacks. Buybacks are booming this year since companies have big cash supplies after Covid and don’t want to be taxed. Buybacks are a big reason Buffett has spent 56billion in the last year

    I like to make money off stupid people. I invest in casinos and smoking companies. Idk why people think that’s so immoral. The future is filled with an infinite supply of stupid people. That market of gamblers and smokers is huge. It’s cheap entertainment and people are dumb. That’s not my fault. Just capitalizing on reality

      Can’t argue with the logic, cause I think they get stupider every day. It’s a shame the drug cartels don’t have a stock symbol. Tobacco still makes a ton of money. Give me some casinos to look into. Thanks

      If the dividend yield is say 3% then for every 10K in stock you get $300 yearly. So if you want 1K a month, that's 12K a year. If you divide 12K by 300$ you get 40. So 40 times your 10K investment equals 400K. Invest 400K and get 1K a month... if the stock has 3% dividend yield. I think SCHD has more than 3% now...and you can combine with other stocks that are reputable and have ~3% yield but also won't tank in 5 yrs...

    Hi, this is just a quick question about calculating the intrinsic value using the Dividend discount model. As you probably know the formula is P = D/(r-g) where r is the WACC, G is the dividend growth rate and D is the next years dividend. Anyways, when the company I am trying to calculate the intrinsic value for, has a larger Dividend growth rate than its WACC, the intrinsic value comes out negative? I was conducting this research on TROW btw... Is it supposed be like this, or is that a mistake. Can someone explain please? thanks (:

    • @Dividendology
      @Dividendology  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. When the dividend growth rate is higher than the discount rate it will show a negative intrinsic value. This rarely happens, but fortunately there are other forms of the dividend discount model that can account for this and give you an intrinsic value. I’ll probably make a video on this at some point.
