I've never seen butter used in making Soul food-style collard greens. But it makes sense. I always add butter when I'm making pinto beans or black-eyed peas, so I'm definitely gonna try this idea next time I make a pot of greens. Thanks for sharing your recipe, looks delish BTW.

I love using Better than Bouillon. What kind of flavor does the butter add?
Because the greens are frozen it help to tenderize the greens and adds a butter flavor
