- This extraordinary Mercedes-Benz 420SEL update V126 series (long wheelbase) S-Class from 1989 features the very desirable combination of Smoke Silver metallic paintwork (code 702U) with an unmarked light beige leather interior. It is an Australian-complied car and has travelled an astonishingly low 44,204km from new. It was delivered new by Marshalls Motors Mercedes-Benz on 10 April 1990, and comes with all the original factory books, manuals, spare key and the owner’s wallet (even the original swing tag for the climate control has been preserved). It was owned by a Brisbane doctor from new up until approximately eight years ago, when it went into a private collection in Sydney. Unfortunately it does not come with a service log book, as it could not be located by the estate at the time the car was sold. It has clearly been garaged throughout its life, and as a result the entire vehicle - both inside and out - presents in almost “time-capsule” condition. Everything functions as it should, from the ice-cold air-conditioning to the hydraulic self-levelling rear suspension, central locking, power windows, cruise control, electric front seats (the driver’s with memory), through to all the other electrics.
