2:47 first appearance from Shohei solely based on being a hitter. Seems a reasonable bet. I buy that

22:21 this is the worst thing that could happen to the Mets. They need to trade and get some prospect for the expiring contracts. Now they are going to go all in on a wildcard spot that they may not even get.

I love your show but Mets at 10 over SEA or KC is crazy in my opinion. Or even HOU for that matter. I get they are currently in a WC position but they are exactly three games over .500 with a +13 RD. Almost the whole league is within striking distance so their lead isn’t even stable. They aren’t better than three teams I listed H2H and that’s what power ranking are about. It seems like you are rewarding them for playing in the Junior Circuit. Great story, I agree but it’s way to early to be putting a wildcard team above a division leader or a team that has a better record, better run differential, and better team stats across the board.

Rangers 12:53 are prime for a second half surge. Their bats are heating up. Pitching is finally healthy. Rangers will be fine. Only thing that can stop them is the “bochy” curse. For whatever reason reason, bochy always fails to make the playoffs the year after he wins the World Series.

And how about the fact that the Brewers going into the season also lost their manager Craig Counsell to one of their division rivals, the Chicago Cubs. Pat Murphy has done an exceptional job to this point, as has Stephen Vogt with the Cleveland Guardians, who had the added burden of succeeding a Hall of Fame manager in Terry Francona.
Hoping that the Rays at .500 will make a second half playoff run. Although they still do not have their full compliment of starting pitchers back yet, they still send a good quality starting pitcher every time out: Bradley, Pepiot, Eflin, Littell, and Baz. Jason Adam & Pete Fairbanks anchor the bullpen. We'll see if they make any deadline moves.

2:26 I’d rather see ohtani be like Hank Aaron and go to 17 Allstar games hit less than .200 with only 2 extra base hits. I like anomalies.

0:37 so you can’t predict the future. So wrong on those derby picks. lol. I had Garcia winning myself though so….

NL East has won or been in 3 WS games since 2019

The AL west has been in 5 WS since 2017 and won 3 of them. Since 2019 the AL West has been in 4 out of 5 WS winning 2 of them. Since 2021 the AL west has been in every WS winning all but 1.
