I like how you explained the anatomy behind which key muscles and joints are causing this forward head posture. Stretch the front, strengthen the back and mobilize the T spine. Makes so much sense to address this pattern as a whole group and puts the stretches in perspective.

Found your channel because I think the algorithm must’ve heard me mention my (now-properly-identified) rhomboid pain. I’ve had chronic migraines since I was in fourth grade, and neck tension has become more and more of a trigger (or at least contributing factor) for them in recent years. Today I did a few of your exercises and was shocked at how loose my neck could feel afterward. I’m excited to potentially have something new in my toolbox! Thank you!

I love the information that I have needed for 20+ years working industrial construction. It's very hard on the body which you don't realize how bad until after 10 years or so when you start to realize you can't do as much as you once could. I got stuck with the most physically demanding, nasty, hard to work in places and after all those years it has me at home and generally in a wheelchair most of the time. I really could have used this so long ago.

Stef I'm just wondering if forward head posture could potentially cause breathing issues due to the shortening, stretching, weakening, seizing of these muscles? I was just thinking if they were all out of kilter, they may be problematic for breathing ie: giving a sense of not getting a decent breath due to misfunction. Big fan of the channel. Great content & super easy to follow. Thank you🍺

    • @BodyFixExercises
      @BodyFixExercises  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Cheers! Poor posture could affect the way that the ribs move, which would affect the upper ribs, but they are only really used when you're doing a lot of exercise and breathing very deeply... so I think that posture overall would be unlikely to be the cause

Thank you for this video - it is by far the best video on the subject of problems in the neck / cervical spine, which I have seen here so far, because it explains at the same time so soundly the connections!
I have been suffering from a slight dizziness for some time and sudden inner restlessness now and then. My family doctor said that this is most likely coming from my cervical spine (I have an office job and the problems intensify after prolonged sitting) and has recommended that I look for suitable exercises for this.
So my question is, do these exercises also help with dizziness and inner restlessness caused by problems in the cervical spine - or are there more specific exercises for this?
Thank you very much and sorry for my sometimes strange English, as I am unfortunately not a native speaker :-)
I wish you a nice Sunday!

The Complete Guide To Fix Shoulder Blade Pain") felt the best, so I continued with that one. To that end, I also continued to do the exercises from this video ahead of time - just because they felt so good too.
Now after two weeks I have been able to significantly reduce my dizziness and these "attacks" of anxiety. It's not gone yet, but that's probably okay - the problems have certainly built up over years, so it will probably take time for them to go away.
But I do notice after each of these exercises how I feel a little better again. So I'm just going to keep doing them until I feel really good again.
Thanks again for the help & all the best to you!

Love your videos, you explain everything so clearly. I have that awful looking neck hump through bad head forward posture. I’m hoping to correct my posture and eventually diminish the hump eventually. I don’t know if that’s a real possibility after 63 years but I’m sure it won’t hurt. 😊

Great exercises for my neck and shoulders. Need them though I´m sitting a lot painting and writing at the computer. Thank you!

Thanks Artgate! Yes, we have to counteract all of that time with our head forward and down. Stick with it!

Great to hear, Aayush! Wait until you see what you'll feel like after doing them for 4-6 weeks. After about a month or so I woke up feeling more energetic, confident, strong. It's hard to describe but it feels awesome. So keep going! Thanks so much for commenting!

I liked your video because it addresses exactly my problems. I have developed a rounded shoulder posture since having a back fracture. My posture was always a bit suspect. My head is permanently forward and I have a lot of neck and shoulder pain. How do I save this video to watch again as I really need the help? Many thanks.
