    Poole said himself that he and his family are set for life, and that “being able to play with no pressure, is dope”. Guess what made him good on the Warriors… pressure. That lack of pressure, means he has lost his motivation. That paired with the fact he’s now the main dude for the Wizards he’s getting all the defensive attention and can’t hack it.

      VORP is value over replacement player. The formula shows us the number of points a player is producing over their replacement player, per 100 TEAM possessions over an entire season. Basically: is this player performing up to their contract? Do they deserve the starting lineup? Are they a solid 6th man?
      Advanced stats help us see how a player performs on both ends if the floor, and not simply points & rebounds.

      Yes and no. The argument could be made that GSW enabled him in his immaturity, but Poole's decisions are his own. He will be held responsible for the choices he made, not GSW. Holding to the idea that "it would have been better only if..." in this particular scenario is playing the victim.
      To be bluntly honest, I don't have a lot of sympathy for people who squander a $140M extension. Poole initially had earned that, and with the right work ethic, it could have been a worthwhile investment. He could have put in the work to make himself deserving of that... he chose not to.

      Huh? The last CBA made it possible for them to sign KD with the spike in the cap due to the new TV deal back then.
      There's already a mechanism in place to allow teams to keep what they've developed with Bird Rights. If you're willing to pay, nothing is stopping a team from keeping their own.
      It seems your issue is with having a cap at all which ensures some level of competitive balance. Without that, you'd have the large market teams just buying up talent without any consequences.

    • @iluvdissheet
      @iluvdissheet ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ryansproviero you missed the point.
      The new CBA is to avoid these Durant (to phoenix), Kyrie, Harden trades. To protect ownership. Then you look at GS that built through the draft and smart trading is being punished for other owners chasing titles.
      KD was a free agent when he came to GS so it wasnt about cap space and it STILL isnt for GS. This new CBA is designed to help the franchises playing checkers aganist those playing chess.

    • @ryansproviero
      @ryansproviero ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iluvdissheet The cap jumped 24 million the year they got KD because the Union declined a cap smoothing proposal. The new CBA now includes cap smoothing which halts it at 10% with additional money being pushed into the next year that doesn't reach 10%.
      Golden State has paid massive tax bills because they chose to sign KD and then roll over the salary into DLo and then Wiggins. They knowingly did this and then proceeded to complain about it.
      The cap wasn't created after they signed KD. They were well aware of what they were doing. Nothing has stopped them from throwing money at their team and nothing still does as long as you're willing to pay the tax.

    This the way people perceive players in this new generation who think and move supernaturally and and who think out of the box!
    Poole has a new era assignment to show young players encountering a lot of put down and criticism from media and veteran players, how to think, have faith and confidence, stay focused, and keep it moving in times of uncertainity, adversity with great faith, confidence, and be your own man.
    Being a very spiritual person on a specific assignment during changing times, Poole deals with a lot of spiritual challenges that most people don't know about! But Poole will always come out on top!

    Looks to me like Poole's turned into a diva, that tends to go over poorly in the locker room. Look at Trae Young, Ja Morant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden... all fantastic players but known league wide as locker room cancers. IMO, Poole thinks DC is too small for him and wants a larger market with things to do. After seeing all this, I'm praying Miami doesn't take him. Jaquez has been a hell of a find by Spo(as usual) and we're coasting on what looks to goto a 9win streak tonight - Locker room chemistry is HUGE, let's not rock the boat with players like Poole, Waiters or Whiteside

    Poole parlayed success from winning a ring and timing when the warriors needed backcourt scoring short term; and he got paid. Dude should've really gotten a $50-75 MIllion deal considering he came from the G-league and really only had a season and change of good play, but some Hush money had to be included in that bag too from a Green fellow. Just my 2 cents

      Yes Warriors made a big mistake giving him all that money after one good season. I mean I was shocked to see him out of nowhere accelerate in the playoffs. I was amazed like who is this guy?? Wow I can't believe dubs have another awesome shooter this is crazy. What he did for the Warriors in the playoffs and the finals was out of this world. Then to see him decline and become a completely different player the next season was heart breaking. Now I see who he really is, he's garbage. He's cocky, he's arrogant, and thinks he knows better than anyone, that's a recipe for disaster for any team. Idk how players go from that good to that bad but this is a lesson learned.

    That punch did something to J.P., guess he found out the hard way plus the fact probably has set in by now he's not the 2nd coming of Steph Curry not even close! Being a part of the Warriors franchise he got an insiders look at how it's done, but somewhere along the way got lost in the sauce! He needs to keep his mouth closed, and let his game do the talking but somehow it might already be too late because he just seems like he really doesn't want to be out there anymore and play is a reflection of that fact.

    Also, Poole can't develop on his own, and soon being apart from Steph for so long he will forget the little things that Steph taught him. He had a great support system in Golden State to bring out talent within him that lay dormant. That's gone now. So, he's never going to progress further most likely unless he ends up in San Antonio. Washington does NOT develop players, you're on your own in Washington. Washington only is willing to aquire polished players or players that they deem to have already had a breakout season, established players.
