Agreed. Form your core players from the draft and/or free agency. Then you work to fill the gaps with useful role players. You don't fire your head coach and trade core players away for another player that 'might' fit. This is why the Spurs made the playoff 20 years in a row. Bro, I’m a proud Knicks fan, but we got to pump the brakes! Minnesota didn’t play well after trading for Gorbert only to make it for WCF a year later! Trades of this magnitude are rarely instant successes. And Ju-Ju shooting 37% as a PF is still pretty solid. And his rebounding numbers are down for the same reason Kat’s rebounds were down- Rudy gets a large amount of them. The Wolves will be fine! Put it this way, they are one of the last teams in the back half of the West I would want to face in the first round of the playoffs!
Let's really consider the Wolves for a minute because I think you're missing a major issue: their lack of a PG. You have a guy that can't really create his own shot in Randle. Another guy that REALLY can't create his own shot in Gobert and a ball-dominant star that likes to iso (Edwards). That is a recipe for disaster and poor chemistry without having a floor general to piece it together. Notably, Mike Conley did a lot more last year and I think that played a big role in helping to regulate the offense and KAT had more self-creation ability than Randle does.
By 25 games and you know what your team looks like if you’re paddling like a dog at 500 you’re screwed no middle of the road teams make a dent after the first two rounds of the playoffs and that’s just the gods honest truth. Miami proved it a couple of years ago. They became a play team and went to the finals and could barely keep up.

Every player in a professional sports league makes a lot of money. It’s sad that we live in a world that is very greedy. The trade that the Minnesota Timberwolves blockbuster trade might of ruined their franchise. I have no power to say anything but I hope everyone does better each day no matter what life brings even if life is super hard.
Trade Randle and Gobert fir Kat back. Bench conley for Rob and start Reid wot Jaden bein the defensive core pressuring everything. We got 3 30+ year olds startin and cant keep pace anymore especially wit the pace and teams not bein younger.
Being from Minnesota, I was overjoyed with the trade. I still don't mind it. Though KAT is an amazing shooter and talent, he was soft, overly emotional and disappeared in big moments...especially playoffs. His basketball IQ isn't great. Randle has the intangibles that KAT doesn't...toughness and the ability to go get a bucket. True, KAT is an elite 3 point shooter (among other talents), but I feel like Randle being adequate there and DiVincenzo being a very good 3 point shooter, that offsets. Overall, I think Minnesota overperformed last year, they're underperforming this year. McDaniels and DiVincenzo are off to rough-ish starts (though NAW is off to an exceptional start). These things will tend to balance...especially with DiVincenzo performing better over the course of the season. The chemistry is a question mark. But ANT's ceiling is super high and he may lift his own game and his teammate's games (potentially) over time.
We already know they start slow. It takes this team time to build chemistry. We jumped on them for bringing in Gobert. Then following season they cooked. If they keep Randle or if he decides to stay they’ll be a decent team. Especially when Dillingham fully develops.
How long is that supposed to take though? Took 2 full years to see the Gobert trade as somewhat of a success. Will it take that long to find success with Randle and DDV?
In my opinion, Kat would have been the same player if we hadn't traded him. He would constantly turn the ball over when he drove to the paint. Would vanish the times the team needed him the most. Julius can always be traded, for what idk but as long as the got something to prove it doesn't matter to me
New Yorkers are so obsessed with the Timberwolves. Wolves haven’t gotten off to their best start but this has happened before and is to be expected considering. To call them a hot mess is a joke, they’ve been inconsistent to start the season but they’ve beaten several very good teams by more than twenty points and keeping teams below 90 scoring. Knicks are 15 and 9 which is a good start. Timberwolves are 12 & 11. The reality is if the Wolves won three more games they’d have a better record than the Knicks. A three game spread between the two teams doesn’t signify a hot mess. Timberwolves fans have seen this before after a majorly shuffling of key players it takes a bit of time for everyone to jell. I’ll bet Gambling Mike the Wolves have a better record than the Knicks by the end of January. I encourage others to put a bet down on that prediction as well because it will pay off big and Mike will be spouting some weird excuses.
Their GM made one of thr worst trades in NBA history in the Gobert trade, Gobert was a liability and extremely overpaid and their GM gave up their future and Kessler for him lmao. After that disastrous trade their GM made the 2nd mistake trading Kat instead of Gobert. The Wolves are fucked I'm just waiting for Ant to get tired and demand out.
Lol. The Knicks didn't win the trade. They haven't beaten any top teams, any good teams or teams with all of their all star or super star players. What some Minnesota fans aren't getting is that the issue is likely the coach. Look at Randle's stats when he was with the Knicks. Notice that it's IDENTICAL to the one that KAT has now. Now look at KAT's stats on the Knicks and remember that it was IDENTICAL to what Julius Randle had last year. In fact, Julius Randle was better last season. And think about it: Notice that Donte DiVincenzo isn't playing nearly as well either. This seems like a coaching issue. The coach needs to push the players to: move well without the ball, pass fast in general, pass faster out of double teams, cut to the rim for passes that lead to easy baskets on the run, get out in transition to outrun the other team's defense, speed up the pace, do more ally oops & do more pick n' rolls. He should be starting Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo and should have Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Gobert coming off the bench. How is it that Randle was able to play so well with Jericho Sims and Mitchell Robinson but somehow can't fit with Rudy Gobert? Also Jaden McDaniels seems unable to average more than 10 points. Why is he starting? Another issue is the front office. They need to get a young point guard. Mike Conley was great in his prime. However that prime is in the rearview mirror. What they should do is get a young point guard & 2 three point shooters. They should also get a young center. What about Wendell Carter? He can shoot 3s, finish on ally oops, finish on pick n' rolls, rebound, defend & block shots. They can also try to rescue DeAndre Ayton from Portland or Nic Claxton from the Nets. Jalen Duren is a good option as well.
Idk how people fail to realize Randle isn’t the end piece for MN he will be traded by the deadline they can only resign Naz or Randle not gonna re sign both of them they gonna re sign Naz he is a better all around player and younger. Randle’s contract is expiring & he is an all star very valuable contract for any team then they have pieces they can add into it like minnot TS even McDaniels if they want. Minnesota will make a trade by the deadline for a piece that fits well with Ant. They did the trade to stay below the 2nd threshold anyway otherwise certain rules like only being able to do business with other teams over the 2nd threshold apply + they liked Donte on that team friendly deal that’s a good piece to have long term with Ant & no I hated the trade I would of tried to trade Rudy even attached a pick for someone to take him and keep Kat Rudy is a hell of a player under rated but he just gets lost in playoff basketball it’s a whole different chest game when the playoffs come & 7 game series hit.
Gobert thrives even if he only has a rookie Donovan Mitchell. KAT and Ant can't say the same. Edwards key to success is keeping Rudy happy. Even Mike thinks Ant carried in playoffs but numbers say Gobert was the key and he still got all the hate. I remember being shocked that Gobert had best +/- of all players after Denver series or whenever Draymond inspired me to look it up.
Shoulda took Kat, and one other guy (preferably not Rudy but I see no other option) for Embid 🤣. If you’re gonna ball? Ball. Don’t go grab a low to mid center, trade your core center, then extend that mid center by 5 years 🤣. They could’ve taken that money and traded Kat and probably Rudy for Embid, kept their depth and had a dominant force in Joel. Ant and Embid would be like a young Shaq and Kobe potentially. Ant is shooting WAY more threes this year. He’s doing good at evening it out, but he showed last year that he’s nasty in the midrange. He could take a play out of Kobe’s book and dominate with Midrange and Threes with occasional dunks/layups. Not to mention the pick and roll/pop threat Embid offers.

"BEST BLACK SPIDERMAN IMPRESSION" be fuckin fr dog.
I think it’s hilarious that they have Rudy Gobert and Julius Randall and they think they’re going to win a championship
I'm sure nobody peeped that "World B. Flat" reference 😂😂😂
What you are missing is, NOBODY WANTED GOBERT! So they couldn't trade him away
I think you’re completely forgetting the fact the CBA had the new deal KAT would’ve never been traded if the aprons weren’t there
Being from Minnesota, I was overjoyed with the trade.
Kats literally been more of a dog this year than randle
Julius can always be traded, for what idk but as long as the got something to prove it doesn't matter to me
our owner still hasn't retired KEVIN GARNETT's jersey bro - decision aren't any minnesota teams strong suit.
The trade that ruined them happened a few years ago, not this summer.
Timberwolves and Knicks in the finals
Ant gonna end up optioning out his contract when is up and become a free agent
It would be peak Minnesota if that happens. I just expect my state to blunder every sports move forever
Ofc why he wanna stay ?
Calling Kyrie World B Flat made me spit out my beverage
Randle was not built for a championship contender team. They should trade him.
randle want to be the number one option unlike KAT already know his role to compliment ANT.
I been saying since the trade happened as a wolves fan theyve traded the wrong big man. I stand corrected
KAT is way better than Randle.
Ant needs to go somewhere else
"Black Spider-Man impression.. "👀
And lakers fans wanted to keep Randle 😂😂😂
Nice vid bro 👍👍
It was a blockbuster move for the Knicks not the Wolves
Edwards think he can replicate how MJ was with his teammates. Won first then talk
Trades not over yet, Randle could be gone before the trade deadline.
Why has Julius Randle looked 48 since he was 18?
Did anyone think exchanging towns for Randle was a good move?
“World be flat” 😂😂😂
Idk how people fail to realize Randle isn’t the end piece for MN he will be traded by the deadline they can only resign Naz or Randle not gonna re sign both of them they gonna re sign Naz he is a better all around player and younger.
Randle’s contract is expiring & he is an all star very valuable contract for any team then they have pieces they can add into it like minnot TS even McDaniels if they want.
Minnesota will make a trade by the deadline for a piece that fits well with Ant.
They did the trade to stay below the 2nd threshold anyway otherwise certain rules like only being able to do business with other teams over the 2nd threshold apply + they liked Donte on that team friendly deal that’s a good piece to have long term with Ant
& no I hated the trade I would of tried to trade Rudy even attached a pick for someone to take him and keep Kat
Rudy is a hell of a player under rated but he just gets lost in playoff basketball it’s a whole different chest game when the playoffs come & 7 game series hit.
Idk what yall been watching Ant got Julius playing Defense
Jimmy getting traded soon I seen it on Yahoo fantasy report 🫣
Gobert thrives even if he only has a rookie Donovan Mitchell. KAT and Ant can't say the same. Edwards key to success is keeping Rudy happy. Even Mike thinks Ant carried in playoffs but numbers say Gobert was the key and he still got all the hate. I remember being shocked that Gobert had best +/- of all players after Denver series or whenever Draymond inspired me to look it up.
Gobert is trash its a reason teams target him
@@starn9 You mean GMs target him for trade right? They are the real ones who drove his trade price to highest ive seen. You a casual.
He playing for his childhood team now and winning...winning
Everyone knows it’s not even Christmas yet right
Shoulda took Kat, and one other guy (preferably not Rudy but I see no other option) for Embid 🤣.
