Parrot singing from youtube videos

- Audi Murphy loves to watch videos of other Parrots talking and singing. She seems to understand what youtube is and when I say youtube she starts mimicking the various parrots that she watches.

I think birds love to listen to other birds - we hear the same thing about our parakeet's videos, and he also gets excited watching/listening to bird videos, too!

AHA!!!! This is what my parrot Schatzi is saying. She learned it from Audi (at 0:32 seconds in this video). Schatzi also loves parrot videos, and sometimes she surprises me with things I've never heard.

Christine Thibeault I just got a video of him watching your parrot this morning. He gets even crazier at times than he does in the video, however. I think the camera was making him nervous.

@rozan9 Parrots are social eaters ( like cats are) and like to see you eating first the same food that you are offering her. So eat fruit and veggies and let her watch you and then offer her some. That is the trick to getting them to eat a varied diet. Audi also loves Pasta and rice and toast with peanut butter, melons, sweet potato ( important as parrots can be lacking in Vitamin A. All yellow veggies or fruit that is yellow except NO citrus like oranges, bad for them. Enjoy your baby!!

@rozan9 This may not be helpful but our Amazon loves classical jazz and opera, you might play that for her if you want her to sing, also if you have any other animals this might be causing some aggression. Ours is terrified of our Quaker and our cat and will attack our Mom if they get too close.
Finally got around to youtubing other Parrots after posting my first video. While playing other Parrot videos our BFA - Oliver, from the other room, started having this loud conversation with himself that kept escalating. I think he thought he was being neglected again. We adopted him. I put him on the desk, pulled up the dancing Snowball video and wow! Can't wait to compile BFA Channels and see his reaction. I think we will start with Audi.! Thanks!
@sunkissedbeach thank you , i love (Audi) like my parrot ( Memo )..now she is better and little bite ,she is now one year , i think she need more quite because i have other birds in the same room , i have tame female ring neck very activity and always make noise .i love you Audi .is Audi now taking more i like to see new video to see Audi and how old is she now ? .thanks

In the mornings and early evening is when she really goes all out and belts this song out with all of her heart.

I am glad that your parrot enjoys watching Audi. If your baby and yes at 10 months she is still a baby is biting you. I think you have not established a bonded relationship yet with you (if she is biting you) I am assuming that you are her number 1 person in her life. Amazon Parrots tend to pick one person to love the best over any other family member. I suggest spending a lot of time with her OUT of her cage and sitting next to you or on your hand. Do NOT allow her to sit higher

My Double Yellow Head parrot loves Bonito (means "handsome" in Brasil) from TH-cam too, and also imitates him! FYI, the part where Bonito says "Da o pe, loro," literally means "Give me your foot" (equivalent of "Step up").
Is Audi a Blue-fronted amazon? She looks like he has a lot more yellow and his feathers look healthier than the BFAs I've seen.

Audi loves watching youtube, she knows a couple hundred words, she seems to focus on about 7 words a day. I wish I could her to say everything she knows on one video.

@rozan9 Parrots try to claim dominance over you if they sit in a higher position than you and if you have her on your shoulder she is higher and could give you a nasty bite on the face.
Place her next to you or on your hand. Let her watch youtube videos of other Amazons and she will learn to speak fast that way.
Feed her a varied diet of pellets, a small amount of seeds and some nuts NO SALT!!

We’ve since moved and now she has a glassed in sunroom for her and our other bird.
