Bravo Tornado! Good to see you back at the wonderful Cheddington. A Mecca (bingo) for those of us who love fast trains. Thank you for posting good sir 😊
Hi Tornado922. Great rush hour film at Cheddington. You very rarely see a 4-way crossover like you did at 2:18. You did very well to get as many numbers as you could on each train in the space of 10 seconds. Great tones from the trains throughout the film too. The majority of the tones you had was because of the hat, surely! Correct information for you: at 2:33, it was 350262 leading the 17.11 LNWR service to London Euston and at 16:35, it was 390046 working the Avanti Pendolino service from Manchester Piccadilly. I should bring the hat all the time. You're guaranteed tones from all trains (ha ha!). Looking forward to next rush hour film at Tamworth. Kind regards, Chris.

Hi I just love watching your videos as they always cheer me up! You are so funny when you are talking to yourself , I also love when the drivers give you a two tone, I think it's so polite and they must know you!
Thank you ever so much for watching my films and enjoying what I do. I love coming here, I would like to think that with the amount of time I've spent on the WCML some of the drivers would be used to seeing me now haha
Cheddington is a fantastic station. I've been there twice and seen lots of 66s from Freightliner, DB Cargo and GBRF. I even saw GWR's 165104 and 47727 dragging 2 Class 92s passing there.
Great video there Jarred and I've said it time and again, the WCML never ceases to amaze with the traffic that travels up and down. Talking of which, I passed through Cheddington and the aforementioned stations you will be visiting last weekend on the Crewe to London service and back again. Caught sight of the Intercity set at Nuneaton as we were pulling in, it was heading off north. Didn't see what was at the front (I'm presuming it was an 86 or 87), but I did catch the DVT which was 82139. Like you I love the Intercity Swallow livery. It would suit the Pendos very well indeed if re-nationalisation came to be a reality.
Thanks very much Paul, I'm glad you enjoyed watching this! I was fortunate enough to catch the Intercity set when I did my film from Watford Junction, it really did look the business! I very much agree on the Intercity livery working well on the Pendolinos for sure! It just seems to work on any train it's put onto!
Excellent entertainment, lots of varying traffic and a 47 to boot. A nice warm sunny day and response from some drivers once you donned your hat. Tho only downside, yet another lovely location gets ruined by those dreaded railings.
This is always a great station to come to, although I would say that the hat definitely helped with the tones from the drivers! The fence is a pain but they are becoming more common practice throughout the UK
Not bad for variety even without the Pride Pendolino and the Royal Mail 325's but especially with the 47 hauling the 360 and yes the DB Cargo UK operated water train was the final freight train of this film, not the DB Cargo UK operated container train! Looks like 390006 must have been running with its front pantograph up instead of the rear! Notice one of the double-deckered wagons on the car/van train with one of its probable red attachments flapping about presumably with it not attached properly!
It is with the present being GBRF and the latter being when it was with EWS/DB Schenker/DB Cargo UK. During late 2017, DB Cargo UK sold ten Class 66/0s (66008/016/046/058/081/132/141/184/238/250) to GBRf, who allocated the 66780-789 series to them in ascending order. 66789 (formerly 66250), was outshopped in British Rail Large Logo Blue and named British Rail 1948 - 1997 to commemorate British Rail's 70th anniversary.
Another great video and the 47 look amazing 🍺👍
The 47 was definitely the highlight for me!

This is always a favourite station of mine to come to, especially when the weather is on my side aswell! Makes it all the more enjoyable!

Another great video thanks. We are maade up to see a 47 on the mainline now whereas 30 year ago it would have been a case of not another 47!
I was more than happy to catch a 47 running through here!
nice video always best seeing the fast freight trains wagon sounds as well and those class 90s
Always great to see freight trains passing through at speed
At around 2:10 you got a four way crossover, a train on all four tracks. that's very rare
I do find myself getting lucky with some of the shots I have been getting lately
A very good Sunday evening buddy from Alan in Lowestoft and a awesome video buddy
Thank you kindly Alan

I’m going tommorow cheddington for train spotting at 13:15pm is best place ever
Fantastic video at Cheddington my favourite was the GBRF 47 hauling the 360
Thanks very much Robert, Cheddington is always a great station to come to, the 47 was definitely the icing on the cake for me!

I got a pair of super voyagers from Edinburgh to London, very comfortable trains
I love when this guy talks to himself, it reminds me of me
I often do it haha
Hi tornado
great filming
Thanks very much!
@@Tornado922 no problem and hi

Thank you for that information about 66787
You've certainly got a keen eye to spot the pantograph on the 390!
great video
Thanks very much!
Why on earth is there a fence between platforms 2 and 3?
The fence is there for safety precautions to keep people away from the edge of the fast platform.
Cheddington Is Sooo Good For Trains At Speed
Cheddington is one of the best stations to come to on the WCML to capture trains at high speeds
Lots of trains moving quickly and no microphone wind noise. Who could ask for more?
It was a lovely evening!
The hat seems to work for the tones
Great video mate. 16:35 is 390046 not 146
Thanks very much and thanks for the info!
Lovely
Thank you kindly!
Still haven’t heard who Huddersfield town’s new manager is going to be yet
I wouldn't have a clue
Diesel gala this weekend at seven valley railway it's start on Thursday to Sunday
Sadly even though I attended the gala my video file was deleted so there won't be a film coming out from that gala
What’s the max speed through there
Also what do you use to know what train is coming next
Real train times
When will your main line content resume
I'll be posting a video in the next few days explaining that
What is the reason for the fence?
I'd like to know as well.
To stop idiots getting to close to the platform edge on the fast lines.
@@alanmolyneux5957 ah thanks, what like deliberately going over from one to the other to do it?
@@RWL2012 Stopping trains at Cheddington don't use the fast lines so they have no reason to. Fast trains hammer through so its for safety.
66787 is formally 66184

or *formerly* ?
Nutter but I like it buddy
Haha, thanks bud!
20:00 Must've thought you were PeeWee Morris from Porky's 😉🤣
I'll believe you XD
66506 Crewe regeneration
Lovely
I betcha the young lad up the platform is wondering who you are cause you don't normally wear a hat as you were that afternoon
I don't think he recognized me anyway when I waked past him without it on
👌
Ooh
Is this a good thing?
There are train strikes
or there will be, on the 1st, 5th and 8th of October.
There weren't any at the time of getting this filmed
Tongue twister too many numbers at once lol
