the real question is: do you fart at laughs :-)
Hey, uploader! You recorded this from way back in 1993?

Fantastic! I love it from Malaysia here.
She's hands down one of the cutest, and most adorable humans in history.
Amen to that ! I looked up the phrase "cutie pie" in my dictionary & her photo was there !!
She’s almost otherworldly. She’s also a f*cking genius.
Welcome to Bangkok

This was awkward. Such invasive questions, yet such a lack of connection and receptivity when she is gracious enough to respond and go along with his degrading shenanigans.
very well put
Makes me wonder if they would have asked a man the same questions.....
I agree. When he asked "Do you know what farts are?" I just wanted to scream. So condescending. As if she hadn't proved already that her English is excellent. What a douche he is!
@@steveforbes9302 they did. it’s like a whole bit
@@aracewi I kinda doubt they asked a dude what colour knickers he’s wearing...
"I think she's actually kinda dead" that made me laugh so hard, omg
I know ! I almost fell off my chair laughing !
She's not as alive as she used to be.
@@jeremywvarietyofviewpoints3104 When you come right down to it, I suppose none of us are....
She was speaking of Sonja Hine, right?
@@bbrown333 I'm not sure, actually
Am I the only one who noticed she switched from English accent to Icelandic accent? Lmao
haha nah, she definitely went through accent phases. It seems like she consciously changed her accent over the years. She sounds pretty English here. In other videos she has a very heavy English accent, for a handful of years after her initial big success. Then eventually she slowly went back to sounding Icelandic. It might also change depending on who she's talking too, which isn't uncommon for some bilingual speakers. Seems like something Bjork would do, so obsessed with aesthetic.
@@JunkBondTrader I know but I meant on the spot. Like she instantly changed it halfway through the interview
I noticed her switch to Icelandic when she spoke about her mother & grandmother. I've heard it can be hard for bilingual people to discuss a memory or story in their new language/accent. Sort of like the brain processed it one way, and that's the way it naturally comes back out.
I noticed it too !
@@JunkBondTrader um. Lol shes not obsessed w aesthetic she was just an icelander living in the uk. When you live somrwhere for long your accent starts to change so her icelandic and uk accents are melding together.
She so sweet, tries not to insult anyone with her answers...the whole interview is quit lame on the interviewers side, he’s a cheese ball
Lol but I could tell he was super nervous but he played it off well and I like his dry humor
She’s a literal cheese ball in that outfit
He did a fine job on MTV's Most Wanted
@@baby.goblin Ray Cokes nervous ?? Of what ,because of Bjork that nobody knew who she is at the time ?? LOL LOL , Ray had much bigger stars in his show than Bjork ,nervous ?? yeah right . Maybe next time is better for you to actually watch his show before commenting stupid things .At this time he was a bigger star than Bjork.
Damn, you mad as fuck and confrontational for nothing but ok.
For all the kids who are romanticising the the 90s, this interview shows what it was actually like.
I know!
Not really
And all the awful lads mags...
It was shit, wasn't it??
I'm sorry. I'd go back to the 90's any day.
I love how she adapted to having a british accent by living in the uk but you can still hear her icelandic accent peeking through. It’s quite lovely to hear a blend of the two
Iceland watches a lot of British television and film. The U.K. is pretty much the closest place to Iceland. And I believe she spent a lot of time there throughout her life.
I noticed that her Icelandic accent became a lot more prominent when she started talking about her mother and grandmother.
Much prefer her Icelandic accent.
I hope you've seen the movie with Bjork called the juniper tree
it's heartbreaking but you would like the Raven with his sack sack rhyme among many moments in that film
@@lynseldest3597 Yeah...interesting.
all these sexual questions, you know they would've never asked a man any of those... it's ridiculous
Yep. I just learned this year that men and women are different! Crazy isn't it?

The whole bit with him pushing to know if she's "ever fancied a girl" is so fucking cringe now but THIRTY YEARS ago this is what society in the UK was like back then, being gay was still hidden away and girls fancying girls was something that was giggled at. It's fucking cringe now but we've come a long way relatively quickly... thank fuck.
i love how she so clearly has a beautiful accent but also a bit of cockney in there lol :)
cockney is great!! i speak it too a bit tho mate..
the whole sentence she says at :26 is said with a London accent hahaha
You can hear a bit of a cockney twang.. lol x
I noticed that too! She was living in London at the time.
She'll always look like she's 20 years old.
I certainly have a notion to second that emotion !! :-)
She was 27 though. But she looked like a teenager with the knots. 🤣🤣🤣
Björk had short hair at 20. She looked like a boy.
Nah man she's aged a bit, as of today she's in her 50s

55 now
When she is talking about how she watches mtv on Reykjavik she has an islandic accent but when they are talking about the album etc. She turnes in to a full British accent. I love how languages work Edit: oh my god she turnes to icelandic accent again when she is talking about her family later on I love this
Holy Moses you aren't kidding! Crazy.
Really cool. She mentally goes back to Iceland when talking about home or early memories and goes full Cockney when talking about international things.
no she doesn't switch from one to the other. This is her accent at this time.

Best song of hers, awesome movie. :)
Trust me, not everyone can tell. That guy acts like a sleeze ball.

This interview is painfully awkward
For you? She seems to be having fun.
I found it to be delightfully awkward, but I think that's because he has the same brand of awkwardness as me lol
I thought it was quirky! hah
Yup. And the presenter thought he was nailing this
Just for you lmao

This interview is not painfully awkward… It’s engaging..... to watch, do you know her face, is to watch how her mind works.
I particularly enjoyed how she took the interviewer right straight to the ground on the farts question! Bravo Björk well done! She jumped ahead of him and he had to stop.
She’s so diplomatic!
Bjork is timeless. The creepyass interviewer however...
This interview aged like milk. yet she age like wine 👑
U just jealous boi

Ya His jokes became irrelevant quicker than he did.
It's Ray Cokes. He is funny, not creepy. Have you heard about humour?
She said she might be singing in a Spanish restaurant singing in spanish and now she has a song with arca in spanish ♥️♥️♥️
Foreshadowing!
😭😭😭
Lucky he started this game with such a sweet and open-minded person as Bjork. Can you imagine asking Gene Simmonds or Stephen Tyler some of these questions and not getting at least a broken nose?
I feel like he's honestly in the midst of a mental breakdown. Props to Bjork for being such a sweet and funny person. She's clearly very patient with this man. She's really good at not letting her facial expressions match what she's thinking. She doesn't wanna make him feel bad. Because she can tell he's really struggling here.
You're projecting a lot here, dude
or maybe just had one line too many before the show......
He was like that all the time, i think it's his stage persona according to what was funny back in the 90's. I watched his episodes with Blur and he acts the same way.

Really odd how she alternates between Svandinavian, British and American accents in this interview, almost without any thought.
? I'm confused. Why is that odd? It's pretty normal for people to switch around as they go outside their comfort zone, learning new words
@@tinyspyro8163 Not really, tho.
@@JamesBrown4ever1 "not really tho" - stats, studies, anything? Unless you have something definitive, its your anecdotal experience against mine.
I have been an expat for almost a decade, living in several countries - often in expat communities - and it was never unusual for people to switch back and forth between their native accent and foreign accents. Sometimes a person will even "adopt" the accent of the person they are speaking to, either out of habit, courtesy or for the fun of it.

I don't know what's more potent, her cuteness, or THE CRINGE.
Would be absolute torture if it wasn't for her angelic presence.
She must have forgot her last answer cause she certainly dropped her album Utopia in 2017 at 52... and amazingly she’s not fat nor is she wrinkly. It actually almost seems like bjork is so ahead of her time that she doesn’t age, she just waits for us while we age trying to catch up with her.

The norwegian figure skater Björk fancied from the 30-40’s, financed an art museum which then funded and housed the first real serious norwegian electronic music studio in the 70’s. That’s kind of a cool connection.
She’s a peach.. I’ve always admired and enjoyed her and her music... got to see her perform live once.. ❤ wish I was in her band.
When he started presenting those questions, the vibe in this interview just became more awkward.
Jesus, some of the people in this comment section are incredibly ignorant to the fact that some of these questions clearly made her uncomfortable. Sure she is playing along and might appear to be having fun for SOME of these. You can tell she is uncomfortable with him asking questions about her sexuality. He is constantly saying things like he didn't write all of them so that right there says he knew that some were too invasive and inappropriate. Yeah it's the 90s but that doesn't make it okay. Her ability to stay composed and even keep going with the interview is beyond patient and far too gracious. She has so much more substance to give than the responses to these debasing questions. Yuck, shame on the writers and host but major props to her for being willing to tolerate some of these.
Her Icelandic accent is super adorable. Even though the interview is silly, she seems to be having fun.
Man...I had such a crush on her during this era...
I just had to find out if Bjõtk laughed at farts.
There are multiple levels for farts.
I'm glad she didn't stop making music at 40.
