Glen Campbell and Leon Russell were studio session recording musicians for others producers, singers in the 60 ,Glen couldn't read music but he had golden ears and musical creativity he played in the studio with Tommy tedesco, Leon was a classical RB pianist .i believed both worked for producer Phil Spector, one day Glen said "i'am done with the studio session recording" and he went solo artist. Leon was called for session recording ,according to "Cher" singer artist (she was doing back up chorus in the studio) Cher said Leon came to the studio drunk stepped on top of the piano dancing and was removed from the studio ,he never came back, and he went in to solo artist recording, both became amazing composers artist . thanks for this video and seeing those friends who spare musicianship with no ego
Leon said, "Glen was the best" and he's played with all the greats what does that tell ya.
Joseph Boller is it not an injustice how Leon Russell is all but lost to the sand's of time . . . it should be cut in stone what that man has produced . . .
The general public might not know about Leon but those in the music biz know EXACTLY who he is, and have been in awe of his talents for over 50 yrs. How many artists can boast 2 Beatles, 2 Stones, Steve Winwood, Joe Cocker and Eric Clapton helping out on their 1st solo album.
alot
Leon is the Prince of Peace!
