Thank you for posting this video. It's helpful to see an extractor actually in use. Several of the equipment sellers only show extractors as in a showroom.
Thanks for the info, I have been searching long and hard to find what I need and what I can afford and with you help I have found both. I ordered this same one from betterbee and it was delivered 4 days later, cant beat that. I will be using it in about 2 or 3 weeks but I have put some empty frames in and it spun up just fine, very balanced I am excited. thanks for your information.
Thanks for the video. I plan on buying an extractor this week. I have a similar story with a Kellys, 3 frame. That cranking is is killing my shoulder and time. 25 hives here. I had planned on the Manlake 19/8 but now this one has my attention. I have found it for $999 on Betterbee.com but they said I need to call for shipping because it is shipped by "truck." May I ask how much the shipping was? And, shipping time? Thanks, Dave
Wow, we were able to score $100 from Bluesky for two shipped freight to a local terminal. However, they were the last two of the model 230's. Did your Lyson have a pulse modulation motor? Ours does. And, the high pitch sound is something we are going to have to live with. It's a characteristic of this type of motor. You can hear the motor in my last video posted.
Diggin with Dave actually the high pitch noise is from the PWM pulse width modulation of the power from the drive, the motor makes the noise but it is because of the the type of speed controller. This does not mean that it is inferior, to the contrary this is how most all newer high quality drives are made , AC or DC PWM is the new standard. I am kind of a drive guy, that noise is the norm for today's drives,in typical industrial environment it is so noisy you never hear it.
Ours got here Friday. Since then we've extracted 15 supers. It works good. You can load it with just a couple frames, six, twelve, or twenty. The only drawback is deeps. It won't quite extract the bottom rows of a frame if it's deep. Too close to the center. It's not nearky as loud as the videos make one believe. The whining dc motor noise is kind of like the sound effect on star trek. I like it. It will run on a 12-volt dc power supply or a battery. That'd be handy if ever set-up to be mobile beekeeping.
I was really interested until you started it up... wow that is some high pitch resonance! I had to turn off my sound. If thats what they all sound like then forget it.

Now that you’ve used it a few years would you recommend the extractor?

Can you do a video of how to clean this extractor? I assume a few parts can come apart to wash and clean it properly?

What size frames are you using for your Hives? 6 1/4" or 9 1/8?
We ordered the same extractor from Betterbee. They charged us for 170 pounds freight charges. So how much does it weigh roughly?

What Model is this?
Is it spinning forward and back or only forward ?
Anatoliy walker it spins forward only since it is radial. It works great and makes extracting honey a breeze.
Kindly share with me the price for this machine.
how RPM for radial honey extractor?
How much does the extractor weigh?
Mine is still attached to the shipping pallet. The wife and I can pick it up and move it easily. It's not heavy but is big. About 50 pounds.

I thought I was the only one. I thought all the dogs in the neighbourhood would be barking!
Giant CE label on the side- China exports
Thats not what it means. The extractor is manufactured in Poland, China ...lol
I'm extracting 6 1/4 frames.
Bee Lovin' Farm and Apiary Will 51/2" supers work in this unit
Mike Mabry are you referring to shallows? If so yes, they will work.
