Honestly was hoping we wouldn't see much of DK going forward. Hopefully he has improved a lot this offseason

Fans use kendrick as a scapegoat a little too much. The guy has a lot of raw talent and personality. He has to take a big step, yes, but a pass rush should help that

First time I disagree with this guy. Kendrick is absolutely a dumpster fire ready to happen. I don't care what round we drafted him. He gave up big plays every game. Which cost us wins

If the Rams defense is leaning on, Kendrick, it spells trouble for the 2024 season.
Not really it could mean we actually have a pass rush. Fans don’t comprehend how hard it is for cb’s to stay with their assignments for like 8 sec.The best Cb’s in the league are usually supported by a good D’Line.
kinda agree....Kendricks is a hype man...brings flavor...must be why coaches like him? Coverage wise, dudes a penalty machine, missed tackle ready to happen, as well as constantly worrying about getting beat deep.

I’d disagree with “Yeast is a good tackler”. Unfortunately he ranked as one of the highest in missed tackles. Hopefully he improves in that area. Yeast is sticky in coverage but he is not good in tackling.
Russ Yeast is definitely capable of playing Star and Lake is definitely capable of playing back at Safety ! Those two are interchangeable I believe ! DK on the other hand 🤦🏽♂️ ! Shows flashes of being a starter and then shows exactly what scouts said about him as 6-7 round pick ! He plays with no technique or feel ! Just gambling on what he thinks he sees but unlike Juice Peters he doesn’t turn the ball over so it’s just big plays given up

Is this their 3rd year? . I have a theory that you see the very best of players coming into their 3rd years. Their not thinking too much because they really know the play book and they just react to what's happening. Especially on defense. I think this is a really good sign.
I really like the flexibility of the secondary! Lots of talent, lots of options. I'm confident here. Not so much for the linebackers except Jones.

Interesting. Why would Lake be against playing the Star role? Rams had Ramsey (their best DB) play the Star role ... so it would seem to be an important job. Playing the Star role means more snaps. Now Lake is competing with the Kamren's for playing time.
The FA signings (3) and drafting of Kitchens likely limits Russ/DK playing time.Shula must be just experimenting. Trying to figure how Russ and DK fit.
Which is odd because that’s where he plays the best.

We were very low in pressure rate last season, much better predictor on defensive success.
Wondering if Lake is getting a shot at SS/FS? Need a tackler at the star role...like Yeast's potential as well...was a hitter, seemed to tone down the blowup hits. But I also like Jason Thompson as well

Curl, Kinchens, Thompson....with Williams, White, and, and, ????? need a cover guy for the slot/star role...not just a physical DB.

Agree, I know not having a pass rush didn’t help but he got burned a lot last season. He had a lot of missed tackles as well. But you never know, maybe this roll will be better for him. Not counting on it though.
