I’m a Georgia fan and Stetson Bennett truther. People acted like the team carried him but his second championship season he played almost perfect . He was one of the best players on the team. His athleticism is underrated, his arm strength is underrated, he’s accurate and he’s very very poised.
He definitely shows poise, to throw 4 picks and still go down and win the game is definitely poise…. You jus never wanna see 4 turnovers

The resilience and drive of this kid/man is rarely seen. Walked on, waited for a chance and then two 5 stars were brought in and Bennett went to JUCO for playing time. Then enrolled again with a team that has little interest and have proven that. He didn't cry and transfer like most people even though another 5 Star transfered in from USC and jumped him on depth chart hung in there and after the 5 Star crapped himself against Clemson with 0 TDs in a 10-3 win, Bennett started the next game throwing 4 touchdowns in first four passes and never released the job getting two MVP trophys in the two Nattys losing only two games (Auburn,Bama) but got revenge on both beating Auburn in SEC Championship and Bama in National Championship
Not sure what numbers you are using but Stetson more than matches up with “the numbers”! His ball speed at the NFL combine was one of the fastest. Also you mention his height, UGA’s offensive line averaged over an 1” taller that NFL’s in 2033 and the SEC average height was .75” taller so he has no problem looking over his line. And if you wondered the defensive lines were taller also in SEC. Both lines average weight was more in SEC than NFL. Stetson also has great accuracy and easily can toss 55 yard bombs. When you find those numbers you used for Stetson please post them for all of us.
Good synopsis. I'm rooting for Stetson. What he did at GA was simply incredible. The guy has grit and full of talent. Wherever he lands, the team is fortunate to have him for as as he stays.
Stetson Bennett can throw lasers! He's very talented. He lives football. Like Les Snead said: he's a weapon!
I think you're wrong about Bennett not being able to throw. He's tough and he does throw lasers. He's very athletic. I like Stafford. But let's be real: Stafford is on his way out . Too many injuries. I truly believe Bennett can take the Rams to a future Super Bowl.
I think he will be the franchise QB. Everyone under rates him.
Jake, not a fan but had to comment on Stetson. Stetson will be #2 QB by start of season and when Stafford goes down, the Rams will be in good hands. The Rams need to improve on the OL and better their play calling!
I live in Jones county Ms where Bennett went to junior college for a year. Wish him all the luck.
I'm getting concerned about all the talk about Stafford being gone after this season. I hope they sort his contract and he stays until he's ready to retire.

Stafford will play as long as he can. The Rams will keep him as long as he produces, but he should decide to leave when the team is no longer interested in putting good players around him.
What I like about him is his very quick release. It's like the ball just squirts out of him and that makes up for arm strength. He just needs to win the battle with his demons just like the rest of us. Looking forward to watching him play

Bennett is a typical Rams QB prospect. They didn't pay much to get him and don't expect much production from him. The Rams put more mental stress on Bennett than is necessary for a young guy who took time to get his emotions under control. They didn't have to build this QB roster in the manner that they did, but they typically don't put much work into building QB rosters. The Rams are determined not to spend much on the QB position, and it's how they have always regarded the position.
Really wish we resigned Wentz. Especially since he went to go be a backup to someone who’s never gonna be out/benched

I hope Bennett has recovered from all the issues and I know all to well about dealing with tragedy so feel for him but I was not high on him from the beginning so he needs to prove himself

He is a rookie QB at 27, looked like crap in the pre season games last year. Let’s be real, if we have to play him we will be in big trouble.
The Rams don't believe in developing a competent QB as a replacement. They will ride Stafford until his arm falls off, and only then will they look to replace him. Even then, the Rams wil take their time in providing a promising arm to make the offense competitive again. The team's brain thrust will accept losing until they feel it's time to improve the product. It's what they have ALWAYS done.

I'm out on Bennett, hated the pick, at 5' 11" with 29" arms, in a league of 6' 4" Dl-men with 34" arms, the math don't work for me. Gumption won't get you through in the NFL, Sure hope I'm wrong!!

Jake I think we're gonna have to come in terms that you can't put Lip stick on a pig. There's no doubt hes got talent but he just makes too many mistakes against third stringers. It's just going to get worse when you put him against the first stingers and I don't know why McVay. keeps doing this. I wish Bennett all the best, but people acting like he's a Make a Wish kid with three forms of terminal cancer, ALS, MS, Sepsis, and his puppy died. His 23' camp, and preseason football performance were deplorable. Have never seen a QB get benched during a preseason game like Bennett was. Hopefully he can prove why they kept him. He's paid to play football. Still feel there were much better options with higher ceilings for development Zach Wilson, Fields, Minshew, or just keep Wentz... Keep it up JE.

Hey Jake I’m usually right with you but I’m sorry not this time 🤷♂️ I just don’t think Bennet will ever be much of a starter in the NFL much less the Rams? and never and I mean EVER want to have to count on him for wins 🤷♂️he’s already let the team down so I believe there’s better options for a third string QB without the questions that hound him.
