No doubt, but the build quality far exceeds Tesla, and is superior to my Audi. My C40 has been solid and rattle-free for 2 years. I concede all advantages the Tesla network provides, but I can't deal with spending money on a car that rattles. I have heard they are improving though.
For the price the Model Y is hard to beat, it has more room than most of its competitors, it's faster and more fun to drive than most, it has better tech , the new ones have good build quality and are quieter than the 2020-21 models. The best thing about the model y is that it's forcing competitors like ford and Nissan to slash their prices a big win for consumers.
There’s a few of the XC40 Recharge in my neighborhood. They’re the ultimate sleeper car, imo. Aside from the grill, they’re impossible to tell from the ICE versions, but they are hella powerful. From a stoplight, they can dash to 60mph quicker than anything that isn’t a Performance or GT electric vehicle and will absolutely smoke 99% of ICE cars off the line. The chargeport placement and Google OS are the car’s hidden powers. These Volvos would be great as a used car and will be valuable for years to come to the people who pay attention to these things.
Made in Ghent, Belgium, 🇧🇪 believe. That’s where my XC40 Recharge was made. Bought mine used. Good overview video. It has had a few connectivity issues that resolved themselves in a few days. It is pretty inefficient compared to my e-Golf. I have road tripped it several time for ~1200 mile round trip journeys and it charges well, pulling a peak of about 160 kW. Route planning preconditioning for battery works well. Navigation tends to be pessimistic on arrival SoC. I have never taken it below 11% SoC so not sure when turtle mode kicks in. It is super powerful. I have plus version so no ADAS. Wish Volvo would offer a subscription to get it. Can not wait for Supercharger J3400 adapter. Car does not have Plug&Charge.
I can’t get used to the giant chrome lined AC vents. They consume too much space. Is it made in EU or China? Too expensive not to have adaptive cruise control.

Every EV car review: "it's a nice car ... but too expensive compared to a Tesla".

Great video man!!
Had any OTA'S been installed. Might be issue with navigation. Not had questionable route charger selections like you had in my Polestar 2.
As shown, it’s on the latest software.
20:21 Latest is 2.14.3. If you fall too far behind for these updates, it will stop offering them and require updating at the dealer.
@@StevenKoo that is definitely poorly communicated

Ah yes, you are correct.

Mine has adaptive CC.....
I listened again and learned EV was made in Sweden.
@johnpoldo8817 Actually Belgium, but still Europe.
Off topic: I the new “V4” Supercharger in Maine NEVI funded? Does it deliver 1000 V? Thanks.
No they do not
So was NEVI funding rule violated?
@@brandenflaschwere NEVI rules violated for this site?
In my interpretation, yes
Thank you.
My god. Doing a review on a rental.
How’s it any different than others doing it on press cars?
For the price of a used one, you are better off going with a Tesla.
Again, another fail from a non Tesla brand
Not everyone wants a Tesla
@@brandenflasch remember the Zune? not everyone wanted an iPod
Yep, I had a Zune and iPod
