      Yeah, same. I’ve been looking for reviews everywhere but left a bit unclear about their real opinion, but I like how straightforward he was in this video.

    Seriuosly. This is one of the best review i have seen. You can actually use this review to make a determination of what kind of bike you want to go for.
    Something i especially liked was the detailed telling of how many different rides you used it for. Keep up the good work.

    Great review! Like it when you are sharing you actual feelings about it instead of pointing out what components are used on this bike.

    Wonderful review. Was very impressed with the amount of information you provided and the confidence in your tone really showed that you knew what you were talking about. I also loved the ending of the video on the jumps, it really gave a good idea of the types of jumps a person could hit on this bike. Keep up the good work bro!!

    Thanks for this review. Had a chance to get this same bike from Canyon outlet. It ticks all boxes for me, some bike park days and xc racing. As you said, best all around bike. Stoked!!!

    Nice review! And you're a really good rider! Glad they gave you good customer service and replaced that frame for you. I might buy a Neuron when it is available, but I may want a bike with a bit slacker the head angle - maybe 66-67, a bit steeper in the seat angle, 75.5 to 76, and a longer reach on a medium, so it feels stable with a very short stem. Other bikes have those numbers, like the Fezzari Signal Peak, new Trek Top Fuel, one model year behind of the Santa Cruz 5010 and Tallboy, Specialized Epic Evo and Stumpjumper Comp, but I sure do like the looks of those Canyons.

  • @jeffloucks2120
    @jeffloucks2120 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    This was very helpful ! It's easy to get caught up in the "slacker" mindset. A friend got one recently and I played around a bit on it in a lot. First bunny hop was kind of a woah moment. Reading on paper the head angle looks a bit dissapointing compared to others and I believe the rear rim is even more narrow than the not all that wide front.
    However, these couple things may very well be what makes it so playful. Hadn't really thought of the adjustments you made for steeper stuff. Definately have me reconsidering again. The Orbea Occam H30 is the other bike I've been considering.

    Thank you for the great review.
    I am really considering a Neuron.
    However, in almost every review they have mentioned that the seatpost is too high. I appreciate that you found a workaround, but why doesn't Canyon fix this?

    Great review. How has the bike performed since you did the review? Any issues since then? Frame holding up?

  • @mircea5013
    @mircea5013 ปีที่แล้ว

    I seriously doubt that pedalling uphill it's just as stiff as a hardtail. I mean, you have rear suspension. That suspension moves under load.
    Anyway, can you fully lock out the suspension? I was looking at this year's Neuron CF8, and it doesn't appear that you can do that. At least not remotely.

  • @mramosmusic33
    @mramosmusic33 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is a very good and honest review! what size is your neuron and how tall are you? im used to having a medium hardtail 2013 specialized carve pro 29er, but canyon says i fit small neuron with 27.5 wheels.... so im still thinking if i should get one. maybe you can help me decide. thanks!!!

    Hi jack, may i know what size you got? im 177cm 5'10 and im going for a size M on the neuron cf 8, but some say that i should go for the L size, really dont know what to get. great review thanks

  • @Xarx42
    @Xarx42 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you for the great review! :) After all you did with the bike: do you think it would have been better to take the neuron version with 140 mm suspension or are you happy with the 130mm?

    Hi. I was looking at this bike, but the Strive keeps attracting me even more. Do you think the Strive could keep up with the all-round performance of the Neuron? Because I am planning to hit some rough stuff but, in an equal measure, I also plan week-ends with long days in the saddle.

    • @jackhanson3649
      @jackhanson3649  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      While I haven't tried the strive yet I have heard that its still an excellent climber because of the shapeshifter. If your racing or riding a lot of double black trails with jumps I'd say go with the strive. Although the neuron blew me away with how capable it was even at downhill parks. It really comes down to preference, wether you like a more poppy and playful ride vs a more forgiving capable machine.

    Great review! Apart from rising the bar did you also shorten the stem? I'm still doubting if I should go for 40mm stem and 780mm wide bars. Now 60/760. Thanks!

    • @jackhanson3649
      @jackhanson3649  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried shortening the stem and it made the steering feel a bit twitchy. I actually ended up putting the 60ml stem back on. That said with the wider 780 ml bars the shorter stem would probably work just fine and give a more predictable feel. I would say go for the shorter stem!
