Ed Sullivan is possibly the least charismatic television host I've ever seen. He always looks grumpy. Can't believe he was allowed to host a primetime television show.
@@VirreFriberg that was his "charm"... let's say , he never out shined his guests , but he had a keen eye for talent.. he was the boss, so nobody "allowed" him ...I guess you would have to have lived thru it to understand....
Saw the Hermits doing this live on the British t.v. show 'Crackerjack' in '66....Pivitol moment for this 8 year old
I ❤ Peter noone he is my favorite Herman hermits !!!😊
"AND NOW, HERMAN'S HERMITS...GO AHEAD, GO!...GO, GO, GO, GO...GO, GO..."

It's nice to see and listen to some of their lesser known songs as well.
They wrote this!

These guys rock the house!
the drummer took lessons from Charlie Watts....
Barry Whitwam, still looking good and playing great !
Rolling stoned. Rest In Peace Charlie
Yep not one fill, or roll or even a cymbal crash just boring hi hat and snare, Bobby elliot would have killed this one
Drummer is not actually playing you can see hes just miming, watch him closely. I guess session man is playing backstage? Or half playback?
@@_-_Michael_-_ and where's the piano coming from? it's probably a mixture , the singing is live, but probably the rest is playback.
Do you have or remember them on a show , I believe the name of the show , was called Ice Place ?Herman's Hermits appeared wearing ice skates .
Hey! That sounds interesting. Haven’t heard of that one. I’ll try to find it. Any more info on the show?
@@NoonaticBanky 1966 or 67 , I do not even know the proper name of the show .It was a variety show on ice and the guests skated .
