Today we made some Valentine's Day Dog treats, and then it was the next day! We went for a Jeep ride, found out Memphis's Face is not doing any better and her sores are returning. Oh and Oakley got snuggly!

I have seen Oakley a thousand times, but when she was getting on the beanbag chair, I never realised just how big she was. she is a big dog. and it just goes to show how much she has changed in the years you have had her. her trust in you must be absolute, and that doesn't happen overnight. she must finally realise that she is loved, and in return, her love for you is repaid by little acts of trust. by allowing her to be the dog she needs to be, she is both happy and content with her lot. thank you from all her fans which I am one of them.

Oh that's so cute! It looks like Oakley is guarding Memphis! If the skin is not broken, you could dab on some witch hazel. It stops the itchy feeling and heals the swelling.
Aww watching Oakley go on the bean bag was so adorable. Its so cute seeing that side of Oakley when we don't get to see that side of her much. That sucks about Memphis and her sores returning. I hope her face gets better soon. Also loved the cute Valentines Day bandanas you got for the girls they looked so adorable in them.

Oh Oakley, I 'm so proud of you for getting on the bean bag chair with your daddy a few times and then all by yourself and playing on it for a bit. Very good, sweet and beautiful girl. I really think that with the last medical emergency she had that all the good, firm but gentle care she got has made her even more secure and able to trust Jess and Jaime more. I love you Miss Oakley!
Aww poor Memphis, hope she gets better soon! My BFF dog (Neapolitan Mastiff/Bulldog) was allergic a lot of foods, but he got better when he got fed special food for dogs with sensitive skin. Hope Memphis is back soon to her playful self. Oakley is so fluffy and lovable and Shelby is such a Diva as always, love all of them so much! Greetings from two fans from Peru!

Oakley looked so cute on the giant bean bag chair with Jamie, licking his hand. It's too bad she couldn't relax enough to lay down next to her dad as well. It still was a major success that she got all her feet up off the floor and onto the bean bag.
* * Oakley was a interesting older rescue dog on her own right. When she passed away, I sure missed the loud vocal sound of her barking and the fun way she let off 'steam' in the house doing her couch zoomies. She will be missed Big time.

We had the same problem with the scratching. After process of elimination. It turned out to be an allergy to chicken. Switched to a food (Canidae Pure) that had nothing of chicken in it. No more scratching. Something to maybe look into. Always enjoy your videos.
its only when you see Oakley getting up next to Jamie that you realise just how big she actually is. she is a big dog, made more so because of her fluffy coat.

Shelby is such a diva
I started putting salmon oil on my dog's food and it really helped with those sores :) She has allergies to kibble, even the high end stuff.

Oakley is so cute, such a gentle soul. Memphis allergy might be to plastic, I had a dog a few years ago who had sores around mouth and once I switched feeding/water bowls to metal/ceramic sores went away per my vet's suggestion. Just suggesting.
My newfoundland mix went through something like this and I agreed to have him skin tested for what he was reacting to. Of course having to have his fur shaved off one side and having 70 little test spots done was a bit unsightly but well worth it. They were able to find out the exact 3 things setting him off and able to desensitization to those. Sounds like a lot to go through but I was leery of having him on long term allergy medicine given the side effects that can have and the cost of being on it long term. Our pet insurance paid the treatment to desensitize him when it was not paying for the allergy medicine so that worked out.
