  • About 50% of the time I buy something I'm disappointed. Things really don't seem to last. In this video we avoid buying something inferior and make useful sets of tools ourselves which WILL last!

I review two options in this video and both are fairly simple. The first version has 3D printed ends and a solid wood handle. I really like the results of this one, though with the Red Oak dowel being so resistant to compression, it did give me some trouble on the first try. The Poplar dowel is not as strong, is still going to work great for these. in the video I didn't mention that these are 18" (457mm) long, a 36" (914mm) dowel cut into two pieces.
Various ends: www.thingivers... I've given two options for height
Profile used: drive.google.c... I recommend the 1mm nozzle and 4 walls. There are also 5 bottoms and 6 tops
After testing for a while, the wood versions which used Ash dowels made on my lathe with the v-grooves are my favorites, the grooves give a little added grip and embellish them a little as well.
The rubber pieces would be best connected with contact cement, a standard stick-on bumper from Home Depot will not last. There may be some other options I haven't thought about, if you have ideas please let me know.
My printer: amzn.to/3sWfKpO, just about any printer capable of printing PETG or ABS will work.
