Berlanga does have decent power but thats not enough anymore, there’s guys that can take his shots and it’s knocked his confidence. Benavidez Charlo etc and a lot of the other top guys at 168 will hurt him bad I’m convinced of that

Berlanga is the prime example of feeding a fighter bums them acting shocked when he has no clue what to do against anyone half decent. There’s no value in knocking out your opponent in 1 round.
Imo they kinda leveled up his opposition too fast, he's a good talent but he ain't great enough to be going up against these kind of opponents just yet, should've gone slow and steady with it.

@@nate3766 They should have already done the slow and steady bit during his first 20 fights. 20 fights. They should have been stepped up quicker, obviously the inside team know he's never gonna get to that elite level hence why it hasn't been done more progressively.

At least his boxing skills have improved, so there's still hope for him.

Angulo won that fight. The scorecard should have been announced to his favour as it has to Berlanga. All Berlanga did "running" only landed couple decent shots. Where as Angulo landed multiple.

Berlanga can't box on the backfoot, he needs to work on his footwork and defence. The matchmakers made the right decision on picking Angulo as his opponent.

I expected this at some point. This was a good test. The big issue for me is Berlanga's attitude/mindset, I think "The Chosen One" actually believes all of the hype about himself. He's good, he's got a solid chin, he hits hard. But he's struggling against world class opposition. His lack of discipline ..... if it doesn't change will get him beaten .....badly.

BIG IMPROVEMENTS. This time around I disagree with the comments I’ve read. Edgar looked like he was learning to box instead of relying on his power and so he should if he wants to compete and win titles. His jab was better, his pivots and defensive head movement were better; however I don’t like boxers trying to be the ref. If you don’t keep your mind on what’s in front of you you will get knocked out.
Berlanga perdió contra el colombiano y los jueces le regalaron la pelea, que falta de respeto esas tarjetas, según los jueces berlanga ganó ampliamente, aparte de eso casi lo muerde, al final del combate le quiso dar un cabezazo y no fué descalificado por ninguna de esas conductas...
