Paul I am so envious of you. My wife and I went last summer to Cozumel for 8 days and had such a great time. We are going back this summer again, but we can not find anyone who wants to go with us. All of our friends are scared and think we are crazy. We met some of the kindest and loving people during our stay. Yes, Cozumel is a wonderful place, and the people that live there are one of the main reasons that it is such a special place. We were staying at Hotel Puerto Libre in one of their deluxe balcony rooms that overlook the street and the Caribbean. Bajau Steakhouse and Seafood Grill is right beneath that balcony. Thanks for watching!
Another place to try is Buccanos. High end steaks and seafood with a world class view. Make plans to dine there at sunset and then watch the cruise ships depart. When you dine at Casa Mission make sure to get the "Sexy Coffee". It's quite the show as the waiter pours flaming alcohol from cup to cup and the whole restaurant stops and watches .
We talk about going to Buccanos every time we visit the island, and yet we've never been there. We heard so many good things about it. Too many great restaurants to choose from. We've had the Sexy Coffee at Casa Mission, and at el Moro ("Mayan Coffee"). Back in the day Ray would tell the story of the Mayan prince and princess while serving the coffee, but I think it took him too much time to get the whole story told, while other tasks were waiting.
