I havent played much tbc pvp on my mage because of the silence and knockback reasons. This gives me hope that even in lower bracket arena i can have some fun
In original WotLK there were arena teams like in TBC, but Blizzard has said that in WotLK Classic they are gonna remove arena teams and just do personal rating like in Retail.
Maybe this was cata but the number Blizzard provided for CC breaks at one point was 20% of your max health. Compromising the nagrand pillar design wasnt super necessary its more of a subjective element, but the ruins starting room change is stupid in wrath. The map already has poor LoS. The ability to use the rooms was unique.

I know you have already done tier lists on classes and 2s/3s comps separately.. but I would love to see one ranking classes from most to least in terms of which ones need to most PVE gear to be viable in arena. I know you have said many times warriors need the most PVE gear - and some healers run pure pvp gear. Curious to see where all the other classes fall too, as we start to plan out which alts to level for wotlk. Maybe this wouldnt even be a video but a quick text post instead haha, would love to hear your thoughts either way
I wont do a video on that becuase it would take forever and TECHNICALLY every class should have at least a couple of pieces if you are min maxing. Least to most would be like, rsham>rdruid>disc>lock>boomie>ret> then like the rest of them but tbh dont worry about that you can literally play any class with almost full PvP and do fine. The only time it makes a big big impact is in season 8 after ICC pieces are out and mainly for melees. Wars are rogues need a decent amount but its not to TBC so don’t worry. TBC PvP gear has dogshit stats.

It’s a player created problem. They are pretty heavily banning people who abuse title boosting but it’s hard to fix a problem that the community creates and uses.
I think going over itemization for each spec and the difference between itemization for each seasons/raid content would make a good advanced vid. Most people will try to force s8 meta into s5 and that simply wont do. For exemple, most people dont know that epic gems arent available till s7, so blacksmith lose in value and jwc increase even more in value for s5/6 compared to other proffessions, especially if u dont gem for resil/haste/arp. Most people also dont know that armor pen and haste/mp5 offpiece is low in availability and ilvl budget in s5/6, so this hurt some spec more than others. Like mage without solace mp5 has poor lasting power in drawn out games. Wizard cleave should be stronger end of xpac relatively to melee cleave even though there will be basically no ArP in s5/6, cause their suvivability and haste/spell power will be much lower early on and that hurts them more than phys dps with ArP cap.
depends on ur skill and if ur playing 2s or 3s because in 2s enhance/bm enhance/preg or lock/druid are the most present ones during s5 and in 3s lock/sham/druid - priest is the most present one so yea for nubs phys maybe stronger in S5/6 but if u know what ur doing u can excell with every class

dispell resists should actually increase for example priests get 30% resist instead of 20%, warlocks gain 30% without UA, shamies 30%, mages 30% and so on through talents
On paper you are correct, in practice I rarely get resisted on my dispels by anything except for a druid. The resists on my dispels go down easily 90% from TBC to wotlk. There must be a base number that gets tweaked.
do we know if we are keeping marks and honor? would be insane to stack 4x100 marks and 100k honor for the first grind, potentially allowing for a further grind with the honor-cap increase in pre-patch

One question I'm still unsure on is arena points normalization, aka, do you know if and when it was changed in WotLK where you would get the same points from 2s, 3s or 5s, just simply getting points from your highest rating? Or was that changed in a later version of the game? I've been unable to find an answer on the wiki and my fuzzy memory is telling me that happened toward the end of Wrath.
Pretty sure you missed one with Paladin. Deep in the Ret Paladin tree there is a talent that makes Wings ignore 50% of targets Damage reduction when activated. If you do the math on it and assume average Resilience score of blah blah blah... damn thing causes Physical attacks to do 80% more damage and magic attacks to do 30% more damage.
You should wait with your decision until we know what blizzard is going to do about balancing racials in arena. They are contemplating disabling racials alltogether
@@gameoverbruh5346 there was a big blue post about this. TL;DR: blizzard doesn't know yet what to do. Whether to balance racials or not to balance. And if they are going to balance, how to do it. They literally wrote they brainstormed multiple options: disabling racials, letting people chose what racial they wanted per game, nerfing/buffing racials. The fact they went as far as to brainstorm multiple ideas tells us they are at least seriously considering doing something about racials. If racials are removed/disabled in PvP arena I would welcome that. Then I could play night elf rogue for the shadowmeld in pve
Can you make a video on proffessions? i know BS/JC seems best for many classes, but sucks to lose Engineering. And maybe make a video on pve items that will be good in season 5 for each class etc.
I wish they'd add the way you queue for Arena from retail to classic. Like, it would be nice if you'd have personal rating and could queue together with randoms, instead of creating a specific team with a specific rating beforehand. I get that there are people who like the way arena teams work in classic, and I can understand what is likeable about this - But for me (And I guess a lot of other people) that basically means that I can't play arena, because I've got no one to play with. Creating a team with a random is not really something worthwhile most of the times.

omg the spell pushback, literally the dumbest mechanic that has ever existed in wow. probably alongside getting dazed off your mount. both seemed like "realistic" game mechanics but in practice were just terrible. nerfing pushback opens up so many more specs in pvp and makes it more balanced imo

Yes, they ported over the TBC tomb which is different than the original client.

Death coil, psychic horror and deep freeze do not break on any amount of damage.

Honor is supposed to transfer over. Marks turn into something like 163 honor per at a vendor.
