@DKS SYNTH LAB You play so well and demo the hidden features that it makes us think they’re new.😄 Love these demos! I bought my M8x on day one, but have to say Yamaha didn’t do a great job at first with the demos. Your demos is what I kept wanting to find while I was waiting for delivery. I’m a big jazz lover and love the traditional sounds, but so many of the demos were great players demonstrating their playing with Pianos, Organs and EP’s more than the synth itself. Thanks for sharing your talent!👍
Dani, finalmente ho avuto un attimo per godermi appieno il tuo video. È mostruosa!! Non c’è un timbro brutto e la tua esecuzione la valorizza molto. Grazie, spero di metterci presto le mani anche io ;-)
This new sounds of MontageM is really A full level above the old Montage. For me - it feels like Kronos Playing. Sounds are cutting through and bright, and not thin at the same time.
You do a fantastic job at these - let me ask you this: I have a Fantom 06 and the biggest issue I have with it is that while recording into a DAW, if I select a scene (which is a sound composed of multiple parts), it is not possible to record all the parts together into the DAW in a way that preserves the key ranges for each part of the preset/scene. I can assign all the parts of the scene to a single MIDI channel, but that would make it so that all the sounds play together all the time, which may not be the intended effect of the scene. But, not only that, it is just annoying having to go into the menu and change the midi channel for each part for every sound I want to play. Does the Montage receive MIDI and intelligently know which parts are part of the scene, and therefore plays the correct parts accordingly, or is it just like the Fantom? Or do you have to manually assign the correct midi channel to each layer/part of the sound before recording?
Hey! Just a question. I know this new unit has a touc display. I am fully blind, and would like to know whether alll touchscreen operated features can also be entirely controlled via buttons / sliders, or are there things you cannot do if you cannot use the screen? Thanks!
@@DKS-SYNTH-LAB This is becoming a worrying trend. More and more keyboards are employing this method, and it's making things really complicated for many of us. We are a minority, but we do exist. Btw, grandissima esecuzione!!!
Great video, however I noticed that in Montage M per part, you can only split the keyboard up to 8 layers (or zones) instruments. So... I didn't understand at all if I can split the layers like in the Roland Fantom where I can split the keyboard by scene into up to 16 zones 🤔
Yep, 8 parts, and with awm2 any part can use up to 128 partials. So 128 partials for any parts are much more than 16 parts on Fantom (16 parts with 2osc) and also you can add parts with FM-X and AN-X with dedicated polyphony
Ipad is connected with wifi to my Macbook pro and the app is Remote Control by Presonus, it works only with Presonus Studio One Pro. Not a dedicated app of Yamaha or Montage M
The AN1X sounds so thin, a vst plugin can sound fatter (Halion 7). The old Montage is going cheap combine it with an ASM desktop Hydrasynth for less than the price of the M6.
Yes, they are free via soundmondo, not anywhere else 🙂 Use google chrome, create an account (free) and sync the sound via soundmondo and then save on the synth. Direct link: soundmondo.yamahasynth.com/user/704
@@DKS-SYNTH-LAB I can not connect the Montage to the Internet, because the Instrument is on the studio wherethere are no Internet connection, why not put the Lib files to our disposal. Nice but...one problem with all the sounds of this synthesizer, they have NO depth, they sound clean and digital, they lack the imperfect oscillation of the field sonority of a real synthesizer. THEY HAVE NO DEPTH OR DYNAMICS IN THE SOUNDS.
Amazing sounds, amazing video and melody 😎😎😎

@@dejanciric323 I have both boards, absolutely love my Montage M, but my Kronos still edges it out on a lot of patches...
In listening to this AN-X, I have to say that I absolutely love my new SonicProjects OP-X Pro-3 synth for $35.
Ok! But you can’t do everything what a Montage M can do 😉 and Montage M it’s not only AN-X 😉
@@DKS-SYNTH-LAB that’s why I have YC88 and OP-X Pro-3.
I still have my old Motif XS6. For Analog I use Sequential Circuits product and for FM I use vst plugin. Even Tangerine Dream use FM plugin.
Nulla da dire: suona "tanta", suona molto bene 👍

My dream live rig would be a CP73, YC61, Montage M6
Great rig! Probably the best is CP88 instead of CP73 😉
It's a damn good instrument!

Where can I get this LIB with this all performances for the Montage M ????
9:12 PS1 boot up sound 😂
I Want to buy this LIB with all the performances , where can I get it ?????

Smash the Like 👍... 👊💥
I can't believe they marketed the ANX like it's new.. Still sounds good though.
I think it's ground breaking to have a digital sawtooth waveform and digital filter in a synth in 2023

For Montage/Montage M you can download for Free many DKS Sounds on Yamaha Soundmondo here: soundmondo.yamahasynth.com/user/704 @@DrivenCrane1
Does anyone know if the MODX will get a software update to remove the lock on the FMX polythony ? MODX and MODX+ are identical hardware.
Nope
Hope the ventilator lasts long enough. Gimme some more Rhodes please…
Please, give me the link to buy these presets. These would be my first presets for my M7. Thanks!
If you buy a new Montage M you already have all these sounds! they are factory presets of NEW Montage M :)

not at the moment, but surely during 2024 will be one of my experiment ;)

It's about how you tweak the sounds....this is not an arranger..., you can add depth or height or width or whatever you want to any extent.....
You are spot on. Real Analog sounds fat with a lot of character. It cuts through the mix. AN1x is a vst at best.

Real Analog no need to play around with the sound.
