This map became my favorite after Legacy Island 33 (where I started to play Ark) was wiped - went to Ragnarok 69 as soon as server went on with a bunch of 33 friends and helped to found one of the oldest tribes still active there

My favourite map till this day.
Ragnarok, aberration, and gen 1 are my personal top 3 favourites.
mine are gen 2, ext, and rag
As someone who played through all the nonstory maps, I think that one of the best things about Ragnarok is the fact that it seems so optimized.
I get much more performance issues on the later maps. But Ragnarok has mostly been smooth.
Not even God(mode) can save you from that cold!
About those Dire Polar Bears - they are indeed tameable. They are a rare spawn in the murder snow, you can tame them but you can't bring em to another map.
And also, there are multiple entrances into the dark carnivorous cave (another one is right in the castle swamp).
And you also missed a special type of loot crate - it's the pirate chest on board of the sunken viking ship in Viking Bay - this loot chest has the best loot on this map.

AH does it look like a rockwell note? I was gona include that but i didnt know what it was or if it spawned naturally. As always, these guides cant possibly include everything because I am not an encyclopedia, but they do seek to give a good overview of each map.

First map I ever played. So nostalgic for me, even if I hate how it's built with flat areas just covered in creatures with no detail, like the swamp.

bro you can tame dire polar bears too they spawn in the killer snow too they are just rare and often mistaken for normal dire bears
You missed a part dire polar bears that are tameable can spawn on top of a huge frozen lake that has asecret base location
Dire polar bear can be tamed tho. They spawn with normal bears don't go looking in the cave.
Gotcha. Idk if I explicitly said they couldnt be tamed, but I wasn't totally sure at the time

Wait what? Ragnarok bosses is not as hard as Valguero? I used to think its much harder but I've never actually done bosses on Rag for the obvious reason that the labyrinth sucks and must die. Though Valguero boss fight is super easy it's my go to map to unlock the stuff since Island's dragon is super hard by comparison.

I love the map but you can play pvp servers because there all overun by alpah tribes and PvE has nowhere to build and all the artifact caves are walled off
step 1: do not play official servers
