It always confuses me as to why the giga is above the Rex in so many forms of media while in real life the Rex is believed to not only be bigger but heavier and stronger with more than double bite force. It's more armored, stronger, bigger with the only win for the giga is being faster. Kinda want one game to do the Rex justice against the giga.

Not to mention the way the gigas teeth are shaped. They're made in a way to basically rip and tear as opposed to crush. Not saying it can't crush, just not as well as the Rex. The gigas teeth were made to basically quickly tear off chunks of flesh off the target.

I like that part of the video where you're like: you will need a lot of wood. the wood you need is a lot. if you're playing ark, wood is what you need. Wood? Yes, you need it. A lot is the amount of would that you will be needing if you're playing ark.

Carbonenemys is also great for taming tuso's (giant squid). They have a good health pool and can get grabbed up by the tuso while you feed the black pearls. They are also good for soaking turrets in pvp. I think they are definitely one of the better early game dinos in the game, albeit for fairly specific purposes. The point you brought up about gathering oil early, you are better off just going with the diplocaulus. It does not require a saddle, and it gives the player oxygen when riding on it and is much faster than the carbo, both on land and in the water. Only downside is they are found in fairly dangerous areas usually.

I think allosaurus is understandable low rated. They can be fun in mate boosted, imprinted packs with friends. But they have a bunch of major flaws. Always being in packs makes them somewhat difficult to tame when you could just tame an equally leveled rex for half the trouble/time. It kind of just all comes down to, "if you can tame an allo, you can tame a rex." So there's really no point. There's only a 9 survivor level difference after learning allo saddle before learning rex saddle. Also, raptors and carnos are significantly easier to attain, saddles are learned at significantly lower levels and they provide similar utility to the allo.

megaloceros are very usefull for the dragon it has a blind spot under it's legs so it will try to bite you without any effects

daedon isnt underrated, its overrated, who brings a pig into a boss arena? 1 less dmg dino = longer fight = more dmg incoming. its like people that spam all hp on their bossdinos too. nah skip the pig , get the kill and get out.

I think people use the dead on after the fight, just to top up the army so it doesn't risk getting killed. Especially if you're solo, since Ark's pathfinding and AI are both dumb, your army will take a ton of damage so you'll have to heal then up anyway
thing about spino bipedal attack is in ASA its either a bug or a shadow nerf but they swing much slower if ur riding it, i hope this gets fixed really soon. also seems like barely anyone even noticed it, showing how underused the spino rlly is

Problem for me with basilos in single player is how rare they are. I legit have an easier time finding tusos than basilos. So I'm gonna use the squid for my cave runs when I find a male to breed with my female.

@s.a.m7297 on survival evolved I found a lot on single player. But on survival ascended they are much rarer. I find maybe 1 or 2 around the entire island. Compared to finding countless megalodon, ichtyosaours. Mantas, I even find plenty of plesios, mosas, tusos and some dunkleos. (I find that Mosas plesios and tusos seem to share spawns as I only find one of the 3 in a given area.) I'm not sure if the spawns are messed up in survival ascended but I find I have to leave an area and come back for stuff to really come back. For example after a dino wipe I won't see any dunkleos but after swimming around and coming back I'll finally see them. Either way the dino spawns in single player for ascended have some issues. I also have yet to see a single cnideria in the open ocean.

egg incubator doesn't autopick eggs, ovi does.
egg incubator is expensive to build for early/mid game. ovi costs dodo eggs.
egg incubator has 10 slots. ovi has 300 (and it does pick up beyond the weight limit)
egg incubator can hatch eggs, while ovi buffs egg laying speed. (different use cases, both important though. amazing when combined)
egg incubator requires a lot of levels and genesis II to be unlocked. ovi's need dodo eggs...
also a few low level yutyrannus + oviraptor = automated extraordinary kibble farm
to use oviraptors effectively, here are some tips: enable wandering and weigh it down with something (stones or wood for example). level melee stat only since that increases the pick up radius. start with a very low level oviraptor and get a higher lvl one later, since the first tame farms the eggs for the second one for you.

I always stick up for the chalicotherium, it gathers berries better than trikes, stegos and theris as far as I've seen and all it takes to tame is to stick some thatch and berries in a barrel and do other stuff while the beer brews.

no dino smaller than a bronto can out gather a theriz. unless someone never spent a single point on the theriz its bonus talent system gives insane bonus that the only way to compare a chalico to a theriz is a lvl 10 unbred no lvl no point spent theriz vs a 150 bred chalico
