I’m 5’8 and weigh like 124-135 pounds football is just starting. I’ve been working out I’m in good shape and hopefully this video helps me try and crush someone.
Same bro, I'm a freshman a saftey starter. I'm still new to football but I have the motivation/aggressiveness down. But when the running back I need to tackle is 6'1 197 pounds and I'm 5'7 and 130 pounds. I mean no matter how low I get I seem to get, i just get blown through.he drops his shoulder and runs FAST, so getting to his stomach is hard. And it's hard to wrap up on someone so big.
I’m 5’4 146lbs which makes me seem bigger (when it comes to weight) which definitely is good but my problem is with my mentally, despite all the praise I get from my teammates and coaches I still think I can’t do it, wrapping up has also became a recent issues in my game (for more context been playing football since I was 6, 14 now and I’m a middle linebacker)

Thx im 5"11 225. I have a game against my old school in 3 more weeks. They have a running shorter but more bigger than me in size. I cant risk getting exposed.
i'm happy you checked the video out bro. With a runningback at that size you want to make sure you are getting speed going into contact. A runningback like that has a great center of gravity and with them being shorter, it may be tougher to get under them to get the right leverage. So two things to remember: 1. Make sure you are getting the needed speed going into the tackle 2. Make sure you finish the tackle and really drive him to the ground
5'8 and 130. First game is tomorrow and I'm terrified. I'm always overpowered in practice and I always get sent flying by my teammates. All I want is to earn their respect and show that I deserve my pads. Please God let this work.

Ayo fire content bro, im 6'0'' ~170 lbs, and imma be real wit you, im lookin to tackle and make it hurt legally, and im talking 5+ second get-up time man, any tips?
Appreciate the support bro. Best tips I can give you are : 1. Hit the player in the "tackling zone". This is from the number on the jersey to the thigh. This is the best place to hit someone because it stops them right in their tracks. 2. Make sure you're not caught at a standstill when hitting the opponent. You want to be able to generate some power going into the hit and for smaller players that's everything going into the hit
Stiff arms are tough but the best advice I can give you is to get to the body (thigh, core region). It's a lot easier to stiff someone who is off balance or too high
Hey man I’m 5’10, 140 and the only problem I get when I’m tryna tackle running backs is when we go head to head and the player comes at me full speed and puts their shoulder down.
seems like that problem deals with squaring up. this is a common issue but what you really want to do is "take a half of a player". what i mean by taking a half of a player is, when you are squaring up to tackle you want to be able to line your hitting shoulder with the the player you are trying to hit and hit them within the tackling zone (chest to thigh region). Remember you still want to hit in that tackling zone but if because he has his shoulder down it makes it difficult, attempt so anyway. This was a lot if you would like me to do a video on it i can do so. Hopefully this helped
@@scottysportperformance yo I’m a 12 year old boutta start playing tackle football but I’m rough and I always get a part of my body squashed by the players how can I avoid this
