The Kingdom of Dhokra is a print collection with elements inspired by the indigenous craft of Dhokra prevalent in Chattisgarh, India. Also known as bell metal casting, each creation of Dhokra craft is unique in its form as it is hand moulded by a skilled artisan taking inspiration from the nature around him and portray it in a fantastical manner. Each piece is handcrafted and hence the element of imperfection adds to the beauty of the design. This collection is an ode to those local artisans in Chhattisgarh in an attempt to shed a contemporary light on this beautiful craft.
