I was in Hoi An, Vietnam and visited a similar workshop where they make silk scarves and ties by hand with some of the best embroidery and finishing I have ever seen. One of the founders said she learned the art from her aunt who was a sewer for Hermes in Paris. Hermes still to this day hire many Asian sewers behind the scene but they will never show these Asian artisans´ face, and instead always film old white men, to sell to noveau riche Chinese who only think that white people can produce superb products.
